the fact we still have to jump hoops for new drivers :( Thanks for the tutorial, does make me regret ever getting a legion go since these devices should simply be updated from the company like the Steam Deck or Asus Rog
Hi, it works. Thanks a lot, but i have a question. How do i prevent windows update from revert these changes? I pause updates for a few weeks, but is there another method?
I did everything but after the final restart and opening amd software i get “to continue using amd software download and install compatible version” so i click download and install. Same message pops up immediately after installing???
…i will never mess with non official released drivers that is not presented to me by manufacturer via my lenovo legion go itself…because of obvious reasons that can easily be read in this and all threads about installing and experimenting with non official legion go drivers and such…
Whilst I agree, Lenovo seem to have given up with the device. 7 months and no driver update. They claim it takes work, yet it’s easily to side load and the features seem to work. They need to pull their finger out and support the device
I didn't do that process and just erased files and everything about the old driver and it has been wprking fine so far. The only thing i change was ram to auto. But do i reallly need to to that?
Hi, did same thing but now legion space shows me an available update for AMD Radeon 740M Graphics, its that a bug? (everywhere else it shows that i got a 780m)
I'm new to this kind of thing and i'm having an issue, windows is constantly installing old drivers after doing this process, i've tried to disable the autoupdate but it just keep happening, any idea?
@powerfulknightkittypowerfulkni I'm having another problem where I can't set the screen resolution and the size of the screen when using LS, and other functions are normal.
Hi, my legion go advanced boot screen is black with white letters. The options are the same, but because my virtual keyboard lacks the arrow keys, it won't allow me to select safe mode. Any ideas?
@@Axospirit85 I actually figured it out! On the mini keyboard, in the upper left you can select the type of keyboard. I selected full size and it worked 👍
nothing. i used it many times without safe mode on my desktop PC. BUT! i'm not sure about LeGo, so if you will do it - do it at your own risk ;) personally i reinstall amd drivers on the LeGo without DDU, with just deleting the amd folder and then manually choosing new downloaded driver in device manager. T-PEN has the tutorial here how to do that as well.
Thanks Tpen, when I go to the menu to choose safe mode, my background is black and I don’t have numbers to select, it wants me to use arrow keys but there aren’t any… Managed to update without safe mode… how did you get your option screen blue with numbers to select safe mode?
Press "Win + R" to open the Run dialog, type "msconfig," and press "enter." In the "system configuration" window, go to the "boot" tab, check "safe boot," and click "ok." Then if u need the on screen keyboard inside safe mode, u can go to accessibility and then on screen keyboard. after uninstalling, use Win+R again to revert to boot setting back to normal Windows, by unchecking the safe mode boot option, hope it helps
@@HazardGaming107 I found out that when you update Windows it updates the AMD driver. Once updated to 24.8.1 don’t check for updates automatically. I created restore points while troubleshooting so I can easily get back to 24.8.1
No you don't have to do this this is just want to get the latest drivers without waiting for Lenovo to catch up Honestly I just use the driver's Lenovo updates and most of my games are fine the only way I would recommend doing this is if there was a game you could not play without updating the new drivers
Also slowly but surely lenovo has been catching up but sometimes I wish there were just a little bit faster cause it'd be nice to have the most updated drivers without having to wait for Lenovo to catch up but if you want most updated drivers then I would recommend doing this if you want.. but just be careful you don't want to mess up your device you have to do it step by step
Like Honestly for now I just stick with the driver's Lenovo provides like I said the only way I would do this if there was a certain game that I could not play without the most updated drivers

This is hands down the best instructional video on how to do this. You're too amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
If you have a problem when installing driver ver 24.9, just choose another one 780m tm, below after

24.10 doesn't seem to be working either
Love your tutorials
Bro thank you so much I'm bout to put you as a favorite
Thanks for this man, really. Why tho we are not getting auto update for this drivers? Is this really the only way to update our drivers? Manually?

you can go to msconfig then select boot into safe restart then while in safe boot repeat the steps but uncheck boot into safe mode then run ddu
My legion space crashed after one day of usage. What could be the cause of that?
Thanks for the vid man. Baldurs gate 3 is sluttering a lot with Afmf2 here. Dont know what i am doing wrong

Hey before attempting to do this the current driver and using the Microsoft store app should I delete and uninstall both of those before doing this ??
I followed the video instructions, opened the LS software, only one thing was that the screen resolution fine-tuning didn't work.
Why is it sometimes my adrenalin goes back to default and some pop up says this software is not compatible?? Thanks
Everything is crashing and acting slow can you make a video on how to fix this . Thank you
Hey man Ive followed all the steps but keep getting stuck at initialising install 100%

use admin to open can solve, but it does not help using left button to open LS

Is the princip the same if installing the preview driver with AFMF2 ?
Yes, it’s the same. Just download the AFMF 2 driver instead of 24.8.1 and follow the same process.
thanks bro

Need DDU to remove the current driver and then installing the new driver. Without doing this process, the Legion Space will crash.
