- Worldwide, over 50 million people suffer from persistent hand impairments after stroke or spinal cord injury (SCI). This results in major loss of independence and quality of life. Robotic hand exoskeletons can compensate for lost motor function and assist in grasping tasks performed in everyday activities. tenoexo is a fully wearable assistive soft hand exoskeleton for daily activities.
Currently, we are performing a series of user tests and hope to make this research prototype available to the public in the future.

Is thier anyway I could get into a trial? I would love to learn more about this product. I have brackle plexus injury to my left arm hand pretty much i have gone threw about 5 surgery to regain movement. I'm at the point that my fingers pulling back is my problem. I would love to work with this in any way. Thank you

Easy for a person with no impediment. Should try with a person with stroke to convince me.
The "User evaluation" part of the video from 1:52 on shows people with spinal cord injury and stroke testing the hand exoskeleton. But the range and type of impairments in these populations vary greatly and the exoskeleton clearly doesn't provide benefit to everyone. Part of our ongoing research is to identify those who can benefit.

Unfortunately, our RELab tenoexo is not a licensed product yet and can not be ordered/purchased at the moment. It is only available for research purposes. Also, the participant in the video had a spinal cord injury. We are currently optimizing and testing our device in people with hand impairment after a stroke, though. We hope to make the device available in the future.

I'm a c5-6c quadriplegic and if this unit can be designed to get/ activated by brain eeg head band it would drastically be a life changer for me?
You managed to get the biggest part functioning now just find a way for a quadriplegic to be able to control it through thought processing and use of an 8 band or 16 band eeg wearable head band . Make it affordable to the public and available direct purchase online

I agree I'm so sick and tired of people doing these research projects and then you contact the company and they tell you it's not available for consumption maybe for rehab somewhere if you're lucky. Maybe well the hell with you if you're going to take the effort to do this you have to go all the way and give it to people we're tired of being paralyzed we want to get better now not 10 years from now

Some people, especially stroke victims, have poor motor control in certain hand joints. The thumb is very important for various grasps, so I suspect the creators wanted to provide the wearer increased control over their thumbs.
Thanks for your reply, Andrew. Indeed, the (opposable) thumb plays an important role in grasping. We wanted to enable different grasps and the slider allows to switch between a wrap/power-grasp and a lateral pinch.

MYO armband was discontinued 2 years ago, is there a decent replacement?
We still have a few MYO armbands that we use for our research. OYMotion offers something similar, but we have not yet had a chance to try it out.
