SFU Robotics engineers develop exoskeleton for people with motion disabilities

  • Researchers at Simon Fraser University are developing a wearable robotic suit they hope to offer as an alternative to wheelchairs. Our Ali Pitargue visited the Human in Motion Robotics headquarters in Vancouver, where she spoke to Chloe Angus, who is helping test the exoskeleton.

    I hope they make a slimmer version that way people can drive with it on. I have seen some exoskeletons with that available as just wearables, but I haven’t seen that company in a while. I think they were located in California.

    it's very nice to see u walking ma'am,I also need one for my sister,as she is bedridden from past 12 yrs due to post traumatic paraplegia,pls could u help me out to get one for my sister,I'm from india

      get *REAL?* seriously??? How do you think these things get developed? This is not a tech for you and me, but for a number of generations down the line, if we need it right now we are just fucked, our grandchildren may get it for free at some point, NOT US. And yes, when that happen millionaires will have even better ones and so on and on.
