I think Cold Steel should have a serrated option on every knife they make.

Yeah it's far better than TV, hard not to be, tho.
But I personally think that the algorithm of YT is kinda broken in the sense that it will propose to you things that match similar content as what you watch before; but didn't know how to find something that MIGHT interest you but which is new to you.
So in term, YT will make kinda concentric circles: it's gonna be closer and closer of your center of interest. But also narrower and narrower POV at each click your make.
Sometimes, it's oppressing. Try searching YT something new that interest you when connected. Then try again in private mode/non-login mode: you will see that: yes a lot of content that DOESN'T interest you is now there, but what MIGHT interest you is also available again...
A long rant to say that IMHO YT algorithm is narrowing horizons of watchers for the sake of target advertisement and it's a shame.
Not sure what the problem is that's how you find out what knife you need to buy next for your collection LOL

It's pretty much made for self defense with the serrations like this, although it will blast through certain types of material like butter. Sure you wouldn't baton with it, but most other general cutting tasks, and especially self defense, it's faaar superior.
I have 15 Cold Steel Knives in my collection have purchased over 50 total presents for lucky people. My favourite knife maker what you pay and what you get can't beat them.
You get far more than what pay for, and that is why i love cold steel.
I seriously value my life, and i live in a gun less Society, so therefore knives and swords (Machetes) are a freakin hit, because no one does quite like cold steel does it, in terms of actuall usefull and more than well made fighting blades

Serrations on a bowie knife are only good for one thing, opening up a human being, regardless of their clothing choice that day. It would be a great defensive knife to keep in a vehicle or home, but that's about it. I guess it would carve a turkey pretty well too...
@Andrew , most people can't figure out that it's unsafe to use your brakes on the highway; don't listen to most people. Serrations increase the surface area of a cutting edge, increasing cutting potential. Serrations also accel at cutting fabric and rope, because the points help tear through, while a straight edge tends to harmlessly slide before cutting those materials. Yes, serrated blades suck when they're dull, but as long as they remain sharp, they're more dangerous than a straight blade. That's why I said it's not good for anything else, you want to keep that thing sharp.
This knife is nothing less than perfect. Not to little. But not so big its almost impossible deploy it in the matter of seconds and fight. The performance shown in the video shows how good of a knife it is tbh

A serrated Marauder Bowie, dudes cutting stuff, Norse Viking music, and a shot of Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time. This all makes for a good time for Cold Steel fans that also like Anime, like myself. Keep up the good work, Cold Steel!

A nice cross between my boar Hunter and fully serrated xl vaquero voyagers. Gonna have to grab this one.
In history, no matter where, fighting knife for folk duels and knifing looks like big, single edge, butcher knife. They are big bowies, facons, navajas, and other like those. Cold steel's Marauder is good example of dueling knife! And it is relatively lightweight big bowie knife that gives you ability for faster strikes. I'll pick that one for me, just in case.

just got one of these from somebody off of eBay the only concern I have is the construction of the handle the guard will only and always only be useful for preventing your hand from sliding up onto the blade it cannot be used for fighting since the craton will just be cut through if you have to try to parry anything but still a nice knife

ONE thing you haven't get is: serrated blades are like chisel grind blades, so logically, you have to make the blade geometry being usable by a right hander (imagine a cross-section of the cutting edge when you're holding the knife, it's gonna be like that: !/ ).
99% of knife maker make it the other way just because it's the picture side! (like that: \! ). This is good for left hander but the majority is not, so please make it right next time.
@joe Recto I think that's one of the main reasons lots of people despise serrated edges. Emerson chisel grinds suffers the same issue. For the price it's a a shame.
That and the fact that very few makers are able to put a correct, proportionate teeth on those blades.
I think CRKT's Veff serrations are a good start but it tend to chip if not good steel/heat treat. Coldsteel's are not bad but tend to be hard to resharp by beginners.

Beautiful! No one beats Cold Steel! That's almost as nice as my 6" folding Vaquero Grande serrated EDC that I've had for almost 25 years! Almost... 🇺🇸 😎 🇺🇸 When is Lynn going to design a Bull Kukri (a much bigger Kukri)? Dr Gyi talked about them often. I think it would sell like crazy!
I have the original Vaquero and the new Voyager Vaquero both fully serrated. Waiting to get the XL Voyager with the Kris blade

@@travisconrad5035 - Have you checked out their Spetnaz Shovel? It is awesome. Most people forget about having a shovel in their Bug Out plan BUT you'll need one for sure. Just for covering your human waste alone. And they're aerodynamic, great weapons, and very affordable. Hang it on your back pack. Look into it.

I like how ya say with serrations it is good in the woods we all use serrations for synthetics or ripping meat. I have never used serrations in the woods in I been doing woods stuff for over 20 years
@@JEZARIC lol I was being polite on ripping meat in the kitchen I use for breads. ripping meat I met bodies its good for nasty wounds. Over all I would stay with a plain edge much more efficient.

I prefer the CS Serrations in the kitchen, or maybe on a SD knife you hope you never have to use. The only tool that is available to try to keep the serrations healthy is the Lansky Dog Bone for Cs. Gimme plain edge on a user.

My bowie knife saved at least two lives this past weekend, including my own. And that was an MTech 😂 ... I will be looking to get a "real" bowie knife like a Cold Steel asap.

How good of an edge can you put on the serrated knife? Does Cold Steel have a sharpener tool for that? I was always beat down when sharpening.

There is a small Lansky dog bone grooved sharpener you can buy specific to the small Cold Steel serrations.
What people forget is this is AUS-8 and is very forgiving, but will have to be sharpened regularly if you use it at all, and it’s going to be way more of a pain than on the non-serrated model. I use the sharpener for the small serrations then use a tapered diamond rod for the larger ones on CS serrated knives. I haven’t decided yet whether I’m going to get this one serrated or NS, probably serrated as I already have many plain edge knives, and the serrations make it a fearsome weapon.
FYI, unlike standard serrations which don’t do that well against clothing, these small serrations do better on fabric, and are pretty fearsome on everything else, you just have to learn how to sharpen them.

2:36 if you have held this kinda tube in your hand, it should probably scare the shit out of your forearms because of that sharpness.
