The American Bladesmith Society’s guidelines for Master Smith and Journeyman Smith applicants require that (s)he cut through hanging manila or sisal rope, a minimum of one (1) inch in diameter. The applicant must sever the rope in two with one stroke to test the blade’s edge geometry and sharpness.

Cold Steel is literally the only company that I have ever seen do these kinds of tests and these are exactly the kinds of tests that we want to see you're showing how strong and durable your Weaponry is and how dangerous it can be very good information for those who are looking to buy
nope this is just show with many cuts inbetween the cuts ;-) if you want real and uncut hardcore testing then i suggest you check out "joe x".

Way too much editing in my opinion. I miss the old proof videos with sufficient lighting and less music.
I agree, but I disagree on the less music from the old videos. They had plenty of annoying rock music blaring in the old ones.

I just bought my marauder and it’s a damn razor blade I field dressed three turkeys yesterday with little to no issue and it’s still out of the box sharp

I got the serrated version of this! Serrated blades are FAR more destructive against flesh, I cant think of a more effective knife for combat than this. This blade will truly offer maximum damage against adversaries if your back is against the wall. I ordered one and showed my dad, then he threw me a $100 bill and said, “Order me one too!”

@@bruutus99 nothing is impossible but trying to field sharpen 3v is a nightmare. A good survival blade should take an edge from a river stone if need be. Aus8 will. 3v will not.
