Was the primary air control (lower) open the whole time? What about the secondary air control? Also open the whole time?

If you have a wood cook stove do you also need a fireplace to heat the house?

Hey there! Trying to get my new Milly through the burn-in but not getting the same amount of flame as you on the video and wondering if I’ve got an issue with my damper.
probably the moisture content variance, and/or difference of wood type. She is Using dried wood
I’m also finding that as soon as I close the door on the firebox, everything starts to go out.
I tried this method and still got smoked out. Not sure why. It is only -8 C outside so not too cold.
