Man I respect you so much for your knowledge and respect to the culture and art form of hip-hop. The insight of your videos and distinct love for discussion broadening people's perspectives is always appreciated! I've learned so much from the content and found great music that I've been missing. You guys deserve so much more for the time and production that goes into these vids. Also, glad you brought up that in today's culture both trios are respected but are on opposite sides of the spectrum. FBZ and Migos are great examples that show how diverse hip-hop has evolved today! Thank you for all that you do🙏🏽
creating the Breakdown doesn´t mean he does the journalism to Murs´ vids though, Murs does a fantastic job with DX, imo even better than Hunte did, but they are still, both very great!
Kenshigo it does mean he created the opportunity to be lucrative in taking the position tho. I am happy Murs is the host. But Justin did build HipHopDX. He says it in his own personal article
They relied on Cube to write too much, without him they all stepped up their writing game. Without other guys to worry about, Cube kept all his best lines for himself
I'm gonna say duos are the magic number, 2 Outkast Mobb Deep Pete Rock & CL Smooth Eric B and Rakim Black Star Run the Jewels EPMD UGK Gang Starr Redman and Meth Ghost and Rae (technically never officially became a duo, but served as a duo on both of their debut albums) Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff (if the Fatboys are on the list, you gotta show these two love) Kid N Play (if the Fatboys are on the list, you gotta show these two love and they had more staying power) Clipse 8Ball & MJG Duos almost always out shinned trios throughout hip hop and usually had just as much if not more of an impact on hip hop than trios. And I don't know if they had a great impact on hip hop, but out of love I have to add Smif n Wessun Camp Lo
I really enjoy these breakdown videos, but I have a small suggestion/request: Could you guys create playlists on Tidal/Spotify/Google Play that contains the songs and artists you reference in the videos? I would love to be able to take a musical journey based upon these videos. Thanks!
From my research, Dilla was ALWAYS underappreciated. Even in Detroit, where he was raised, nobody gave a shit when he died (but they threw memorial parties in NYC and LA). Yeah man, most people don't give a fuck about producers except for other producers, but I think that general vibe is changing nowadays. I hear Dilla influence everywhere, and I know that all modern producers like me have a special place in their heart for Dilla (he changed my fucking life when I was handed Donuts). loFi hip hop is basically a Dilla Descendant music in my opinion. Dilla will earn his fame in due time. It is far too late, but I have noticed his attention significantly growing these past few years especially.
From my research, the type of people who insistently put Dilla and Doom high up on a pedestal are mostly white people who only listen to their albums and claim that they're true hip hop.
man, every producer droppin' beats nowadays owes much of their inspiration from Dilla. They all say it. Why do you seem so bitter about it? Yeah, I'm a white dude and yeah, I put Dilla on a pedestal, but that's because before I found him and his influenees, hip hop was...meh to me. I'm not a lyrical person, I like beats and loops, and Dilla mastered that shit. He made electronic music, dude, not just hip hop! He's from Detroit, the birthplace of techno and acid. He makes dope shit that reaches all people, including getting the attention of white people like me. If it wasn't for Dilla, I probably would still be strumming a guitar.
Dude your show is the main reason i even sub to hiphopdx. you always keep it real, much love for showing respect to the beastie boys, and a bunch of other trios i have never heard of!
Can't believe there was not a single mention of 3MG!!! Personal favorite if trios. Much love always. If y'all watch these breakdowns and don't know bout 3 Melancholy Gypsys u need to check that out
That boy ain't right The only NWA album I have listened to is straight outta Compton, and while they are a VERY influential rap group, some of their music is subpar. I mean, the last song on their album SOC, is a terrible dance song, lol. But of course, this is my opinion, and yours is just as valid as mine.
Aye My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasty. Listen to Efil4zaggin, Not tryna to dickride Murs but it really is better than Straight Outta Compton, and the production is beautiful from Dre and Ren lyrics just prove that's he's truly underrated af. My personal favorite tracks are: Real Niggaz, Appetite for destruction, Alwayz into something, i'd rather, and the don't wine interlude, but only for the Parliament sample. hope you listen to it.
Probably not in the discussion, but you mentioned that straight outta Compton was the only album from NWA you listened to, I highly recommend their second album.
I know right! love these videos. I was wondering if I could please get you to check out my music please 🙏🏾. My quota is to gain a listener a day and you listening really goes a long way 💯
Outkast, Run DMC, Wu Tang, Salt n Pepa, UGK, NWA w/cube, 8Ball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, State Property, Mobb Deep, Hot Boyz, Big Tymers, St Lunatics, D12, Naughty by Nature, etc etc....I'd probably say the duos and 4+ groups are greater
Duos can be argued to be better. But 4+ groups get really muddied and there's ALWAYS a star of the group or top two people that is being held down by the rest. Songs just arent long enough to get everyone on the track really and people lose interest at times.
Murs, brotha, I just want to say I appreciate what you do, and what Justin did before you. This is the only hip hop show that's not about the ratchetness or hip hop gossip.
Thank you for these great thought provoking breakdowns. It's sucks when the narrative about hip hop culture always seems to trend to the negative but it's awesome that you go deep into what's great, bad, ugly, beautiful and inspiring about the culture. I wish you peace and many blessings for 2018.
Thank you for bringing more history and breakdown. Filling in gaps and cracks. I'm sure there's a reason you left out BBD, 2 Live Crew, Naughty by Nature, and NERD. I don't know if you consider some of them 2 member acts with a producer /DJ, but BBD was an iconic trio that kept HH/RnB hot on the airwaves through the 90s. Before Kanye claiming the fashion icon status, BBD. To add to the list of fly influential XL acts to follow the Fat Boys, there was Heavy D, Chubb Rock, and Missy Elliott (not a diss to Missy). Can't wait to get my history right with Murs narrative. Perspective so balanced, respect for your talent, they say power corrupts, but Murs lookin valiant, spiritually sahlient, or should I say salient, silence sounds so deadly, write wrong rhymes without a melody, this could be considered comment comedy, like MC battles on 106 & Park be, you didn't expect to read bulls hit rhymes so sincerely sorry.
Charles Schultz I don’t think Mase ever rapped on their songs tho (might have missed it if he did) so then it’s just 2 rappers and a dj. He didn’t include them for the same reason he didn’t include Run DMC, he focussed on groups with three mc’s in this vid.
Low key I hate to admit it but beastie boys got me into Hip-Hop. It was really the only thing I had at home when I wasn’t listening to it in the car. They in my top 5
Dope video. I'm fascinated by your assessment of JD's verses versus his beats. It might be worth a video of its own. Maybe one on what the hell happened to producers-slash-rappers! I mean, there were so many of them in the 90s and early 00s...
@Murs - you realize that "The Rap Language" was the first Tongue Twister or Chopper Style Rap Song? Before Lick The Balls by Slick Rick? The Rap Language needs to be recognized for what it is ... The original Chopper song.
Digga Jones yeah, but they still have cypher kinda of tracks. it is your opinion if you disfavor groups to lesser than 3 members, and i can understand that it can be hard to follow, but i enjoy groups or when smaller groups or trios collab on tracks. May i recommend a$ap mob what happens, souls of mischief medication, and pro era school high, just a few i could name off the top of my head that sound good with multiple heads on a track
Hey Murs I've been enjoying these videos a lot! Recently I introduced a friend to hip hop culture and rap music. He was very amazed by the word play but found the misogyny so disturbing he couldn't listen. I recommended some Tribe Called Quest but couldn't quite answer his questions about the disrespectful language towards women. Could you do a video about misogyny in hip hop?
Yoooooo! How do you leave out Little Brother? The Listening and The Minstrel Show are classics in their own right and are right up there with Cunninlynguists as far as the indie rap scene in the Internet age. Plus, you did a couple albums with 9th, they could at least get a honorable mention
Great video.. to further expound - the trio of sounds in a band is drums, bass, and guitar. It isn't hard to recognize that the Beastie Boys reflect the instruments they play also as vocalists in the sound of their band. High pitched Adrock - guitar, rhythmic Mike D - Drums, and gravelly voiced MCA - bass. I always thought that the Geto Boys had a very similar chemistry in their sound. Scarface, although he is a guitar player, represents the rhythmic center- drums. Willie D - passionate high register vocals - guitar and Bushwick Bill with his deep voice is the bass.
I respect your opinion Murs but I disagree with your Beastie Boys take. Race has nothing to do with it, just couldn't get down with their music. Wu-Tang without question is the best group of all time, followed by Mobb Deep and then Outkast.
k d yea so they do it when three white boys come through...woop de damn doo. Me personally idc...hip hop/rap is black culture and so black artists get props first period (before white "artists") for being first hand members of the community and giving back to the culture with their talent and art...beastie boys music isnt even better than tribe's or wu tangs....smh
Public Enemy is the best Hip-Hop group of all time, followed by Wu-Tang Clan.... Starting with the third position, all bets are off... There's too much to debate! Personally, I'd go with Run DMC, Eric B & Rakim, Boogie Down Productions, NWA because they all changed the game! Then groups like EPMD, Mobb Deep, A Tribe Called Quest, OutKast, Digable Planets, Fugees, Gang Star, Digital Underground, Whodini, Salt N Pepa and De La Soul have to be considered as well... This whole Greatest Group conversation can go on forever with a consensus just as elusive as the great GOAT debate!
Olivia Giles, they talking about an interview Big Boi gave a few years back saying CeeLo almost was in OutKast because the three of them were tight in they High school days.
Not saying that one is greater than or more important to hip hop than the other. But this was a dope and interesting video and I think the Duos of hip hop definitely deserve a video as well. Especially considering how mainstream and influential alot of the duo acts of rap were. The list of rappers known for working together in pairs goes on; Outkast, UGK, Run-DMC, Mobb Depp, Wayne & Birdman, Dre & Em, Tha Dogg Pound, Black Star, Kris Kross, Method Man & Redman off the top of my head to name a few.
The King Lloyd Banks, Yung Buck, 50Cent, and I'm guessing you pry forgot about Tony Yayo. I think he was in and out of jail so he wasn't on a ton of tracks while they were hot but he kills them being a trio.
Dominic Bruce I would assume on tour, MURS and 9th Wonder did Rock the Bells w/Wu Tang a few years back. Makes me realize i havent listened to Murs in a while...
My local record store got it signed for me in 93. I was a kid I was too shy to ask for an autograph. And if you look closely he spelled it “Raykwon” they were all there having a bbq. Meth shook my hand! Lol. Yes I did tour with them on Rock The Bells later in life.
We need a Hilltop Hoods brake down. One of the biggest hip hop names in an english speaking country, yet I'm not sure I have ever heard them mentioned on HipHopDX. The current trio has been together since ~2000 and has a prolific catalog. Many times they have reached the #1 position on the Australia album charts but I NEVER hear them even mentioned in the US.
What about TRU? Master P, Silkk da Shocker & C-Murder, they first album “TRUE” felt more a compilation but their 2nd to 4th albums were just mainly the 3 brothers and their 2nd album “Tru 2 Da Game” is one of southern hip hops greatest gems. Ijs tho
I'll have to say hell yeah I agree with this analysis. I never thought about how many 3 person groups were so successful and influential. Murs being holding dyne these breakdowns for realDOWN SOUTH!!!
Rey Cruz 305 yes sir you are correct for one album they were. And for one album they weren’t. Then they disbanded. And neither was as impactful as Busta solo. They could’ve had an honorable mention. Yes. But time...
While you might not agree with Murs opinions on who’s better than the other, you can not doubt or give this man shit on his knowledge of hip-hop. A genuine host that is devoted to the craft that we all know and love, makes for one hell of a show. And for that, we solute you Murs!
YOUR RAP SKILLS I’ts not a top ten greatest rapper list. Look at the like button , and whatever the last number is , you and the rapper that matches that last number has the same amount of skill. 1. MF DOOM 2. Jay z 3. Eminem 4. Murs 5. Nas 6. Kendrick Lamar 7. Lupe Fiasco 8 Andre 3000 9. Krs-1 10. Lil Wayne
Definitely do that Beastie Boys breakdown!!
Childish Benbino The Beastie Boys truly are the greatest group of all time! Can't wait for the Beasties breakdown!
CJones It's a toss up. TWO greatest groups of all time... Pink Floyd and the Beastie Boys!

agree, Murs is the best hip hop journalist out there!
his music is good shit too
Kenshigo nah Justin Hunte is. He created The Breakdown, all credit goes to him
creating the Breakdown doesn´t mean he does the journalism to Murs´ vids though, Murs does a fantastic job with DX, imo even better than Hunte did, but they are still, both very great!
Kenshigo it does mean he created the opportunity to be lucrative in taking the position tho. I am happy Murs is the host. But Justin did build HipHopDX. He says it in his own personal article
As De La Soul would say, three, that's the magic number.
Yeah honestly I'm kinda surprised he didn't even mention them at all.
thovlasslayer i was second guessing myself, thinking that they might have had more than 3, but im not crazy😭
Maseo was the DJ/Producer, and he only went for three emcees. So close tho. ;(
they only have 2 rappers
i was waiting all the video for him to mention them. i was mad surprised
Damn. I never thought of the NWA thing like that, Cube did push them to go harder. But he came back harder, with No Vaseline.
He didn't push shit, No Vaseline was necessary. Ice Cube didnt want beef
They relied on Cube to write too much, without him they all stepped up their writing game. Without other guys to worry about, Cube kept all his best lines for himself
I'm gonna say duos are the magic number, 2
Outkast
Mobb Deep
Pete Rock & CL Smooth
Eric B and Rakim
Black Star
Run the Jewels
EPMD
UGK
Gang Starr
Redman and Meth
Ghost and Rae (technically never officially became a duo, but served as a duo on both of their debut albums)
Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff (if the Fatboys are on the list, you gotta show these two love)
Kid N Play (if the Fatboys are on the list, you gotta show these two love and they had more staying power)
Clipse
8Ball & MJG
Duos almost always out shinned trios throughout hip hop and usually had just as much if not more of an impact on hip hop than trios.
And I don't know if they had a great impact on hip hop, but out of love I have to add
Smif n Wessun
Camp Lo
kids, pay attention. This guy knows quality^
add blackalicious to this and we have pretty much the best rap ever created.
Bad Meets Evil, Snoop and Dre worked together a lot, you could almost count them too
organized konfusion !
You forgot cypress hill
He's right, Andre 3000 was a 2 sided gemini so technically outkast was 3 members
Esharido if you believe in astrology you’re a dumbass
DjAkedamiks 'sGoatee Chill dude, is a joke
Esharido Andre is the Aquarius in Aquemini
nope
I really enjoy these breakdown videos, but I have a small suggestion/request: Could you guys create playlists on Tidal/Spotify/Google Play that contains the songs and artists you reference in the videos? I would love to be able to take a musical journey based upon these videos. Thanks!
Yes would be amazing. Traveling and rediscovering the old tracks for the love of hiphop.
Yes! I second this.
Thirded! Great idea.
💯
I’m a simple man, I see flatbush zombies on the thumb nail, I click.
They the light side for sure lol
Huge FBZ fan, great points about them and Migos being the yin/yang. But now i can't wait for that Beasties breakdown.
Shout to Murs always keeping it funky. Especially on the JD beats subject, I'M NOT ALONE!
J Dilla is so underappreciated by the general public
Maxime Filion facts
Probably because the general public don’t appreciate the work that producers have on the culture. Most people don’t know who J Dilla even is.
Sounds like we need a part 2 to this. More trios please.
undergroundoutlet defiantly. Cause I was waiting for De La Soul
these videos are so chill
Dude your show is the main reason i even sub to hiphopdx. you always keep it real, much love for showing respect to the beastie boys, and a bunch of other trios i have never heard of!
I always feel so uneducated even if it's only 1 artist (in this case group) that gets mentioned that I don't know.
You don't have to lol, they want to educate the people on rap history!
I get educated in the comments section every week. You’re not the only one. That’s what this forum is for.

Can't believe there was not a single mention of 3MG!!! Personal favorite if trios. Much love always. If y'all watch these breakdowns and don't know bout 3 Melancholy Gypsys u need to check that out
Need a GOAT on Royce 5'9. Or a piece on battle rap culture. Battle rap is where real lyrical geniuses play. RYD.
we need a beastie boys breakdown!
I'm ready for a Beastie Boys Breakdown, cuz I feel like they are underappreciated
Joshua Epps ikr, nobody ever brings them up
Among rap fans maybe. Talk to your average 45 year old metal head he'll mention them, cypress hill, NWA and tribe.
For real. That Beastie breakdown must happen asap
I really love that Murs express what he feels with the music, even though some MCs I don't like I can appreciate from his love the music
Hey Murs, Rap Critic put you on his top lyrics of 2017 list with GBKW

This video was great!

One of the first groups ever and one of the most influential ever grand master flash and the furious 5 a group which has a dj and more than 3 mcs
Capone N Noreaga , Gang starr etc etc..
Also tribe
TommyBoi 3000 would other groups like ODD future be included as well?
Murs!!!! Rules!!!! ✊Everytime I see one of you're specials I sit and listen bruh!
A future Beastie episode? I say "Hell Yes!"
Murs, brotha, I just want to say I appreciate what you do, and what Justin did before you. This is the only hip hop show that's not about the ratchetness or hip hop gossip.
Slum Village I feel is criminally overlooked
Everytime, all of Hip-hop is represented! I dig this channel so much!
I would love the beastie boys break down!
You should do a breakdown on different types of rap like art rap, conscious rap, and gangster rap.
Thank you for putting respekt on the name of the glorious Jewish three!!!! Please give us that breakdown. Such an important group.
Thank you for the shout-out to my absolute favs from Flatbush
Finally! Somebody showing respect to the beastie boys! They are second only to a tribe called quest
What about th wu tang clan
@@tobbe9054 that's a group not a trio
Thank you for these great thought provoking breakdowns. It's sucks when the narrative about hip hop culture always seems to trend to the negative but it's awesome that you go deep into what's great, bad, ugly, beautiful and inspiring about the culture. I wish you peace and many blessings for 2018.
Lol, you rhyme and word play when writing your scripts. Thats dope af
Soon as I saw this video title I was happy because I knew you would mention my favorite group of all time, the Fugees.
Flatbush zombies > Migos
lil Dave facts

Lyrically this is fax
lil Dave HAH DUH!
i love them both tbh
Thank you for bringing more history and breakdown. Filling in gaps and cracks. I'm sure there's a reason you left out BBD, 2 Live Crew, Naughty by Nature, and NERD. plainpawesome BBD wow!!! Good point.
What about De la Soul?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, how you gonna make a video about rap trios and leave them out??
They even have the song 3 is the magic number
Charles Schultz I don’t think Mase ever rapped on their songs tho (might have missed it if he did) so then it’s just 2 rappers and a dj.
He didn’t include them for the same reason he didn’t include Run DMC, he focussed on groups with three mc’s in this vid.
I'm so happy for Murs, you can tell he LOVES this job.
...Cypress Hill...
YES. Thank you for the Digable Planets// Ladybug Mecca content
Come on Murs, show some love for yourself... 3MGs! Legendary
Legendary? You need to relax.
murs, i heard about you on rap critics top 10 songs of the year and listened to your music and was very impressed
I had somewhere to be then this pops up in my sub box, guess I'll be 15 minutes late
Rob Carter pardon us. But thanks for watching!
Please do a video on the beastie boys, that would be tight
So happy Murs was showing love to FBZ, they been one of my favorites since thug waffle dropped.
Phony Mex I’m sorry you feel that way. I have friends that don’t like them so it doesn’t bug me.
@Murs - you realize that "The Rap Language" was the first Tongue Twister or Chopper Style Rap Song? Before Lick The Balls by Slick Rick? The Rap Language needs to be recognized for what it is ... The original Chopper song.
I believe to have more than 3 MCs would be confusing and too much to swallow. Great video.
Digga Jones wu-tang?
Jaime Morales what about them? Most tracks by the Wu on average features 3 members.
tell that to hieroglyphics and living legends who murs is apart of and both groups are still touring with all members
Jaime Morales I listen to those groups. I was talking more so of a personal preference. Respect
Murs should start a hip hop education class, much love these breakdown videos🙏🏽
Murs forgot to mention De La when Maseo was still rhyming... you know the 3 feet high and rising
I didn’t know he used to rap, or forgot. I had De La in my mind as two mc’s and a dj.
Hey Murs I've been enjoying these videos a lot! Recently I introduced a friend to hip hop culture and rap music. Because 9th wonder doesn’t rap and Murs said he was only focusing on trios where all three members were mcs
Jean1us85 damn, I stand corrected.
still, a great Group. Loved them when they came out and they have aged fine. Minstrel show sounds even better than I remembered
Again bringin up the late Jay D, true legend. Damn made me shed a tear.
Yes! A beastie breakdown. The most underappreciated group in hip hop
Bone thugs have 3 albums as a trio... Bone for Life, Thug Stories, and S&L with Swizz beats
You know whats sad .... i love j dilla :/ but never knew he was a part of slum village
To me it's duo's. Hard to beat the energy of two people vibing and bouncing dope ideas off of each other.
Please do Beastie Boys breakdown?

You should do an episode for most memorable beefs in hip hop.
I seriously need a Beastie Boys Breakdown video bc they deserve WAY more love than they get.
I respect your opinion Murs but I disagree with your Beastie Boys take. Race has nothing to do with it, just couldn't get down with their music. Wu-Tang without question is the best group of all time, followed by Mobb Deep and then Outkast.
JamelB well stated. I agree with the beastie boys thing. That's bullshit
A Tribe Called Quest or The Roots have to take that #1 spot for me
k d yea so they do it when three white boys come through...woop de damn doo.
RapVillainy I respectfully disagree. Tribe and The Roots are both legendary groups though
I remember that Ish when Ren said "O'shea"..I didn't know that was Cube's real name! I felt the exact way you expressed it!
Would tribe called quest be on the group list
+Alex I don't think so tho...same as Wu-Tang because there many members!
AG E-Ben yeah you’re probably right there was 4 members in tribe
Jarobi left the group after Travels and became a chef so it was just 2 mcs and a DJ (Ali)
Tribe counts...three MC's and a Dj
Appreciate the Fat Pat and Big Moe acknowledgement. 2 Texas Greats
No three 6 mafia?
Dope rap game knowledge. Nice Saturday morning and happy new year murs!
Y'all think Outkast woulda had the same dynamic with Ceelo as the 3rd member?
nope, he was goodie mob, woulda been too much cee lo. we would missed on all the sleepy brown songs too
Well if CeeLo did albums with OutKast he probably wouldn't have done albums with goodie mob, thus creating two sets of Atlanta trios.
You mean sleepy brown?
Olivia Giles, they talking about an interview Big Boi gave a few years back saying CeeLo almost was in OutKast because the three of them were tight in they High school days.
Hell the fuck na
But 3staks and ceelo would click i think
Not saying that one is greater than or more important to hip hop than the other. But this was a dope and interesting video and I think the Duos of hip hop definitely deserve a video as well. Especially considering how mainstream and influential alot of the duo acts of rap were. The list of rappers known for working together in pairs goes on; Outkast, UGK, Run-DMC, Mobb Depp, Wayne & Birdman, Dre & Em, Tha Dogg Pound, Black Star, Kris Kross, Method Man & Redman off the top of my head to name a few.
G-Unit
The King Lloyd Banks, Yung Buck, 50Cent, and I'm guessing you pry forgot about Tony Yayo. I think he was in and out of jail so he wasn't on a ton of tracks while they were hot but he kills them being a trio.
Kidd Kidd, Young Buck and The Game have all been on there at one point or another.
You forgot to mention Dream Junkies man!! That album was dope and you were even on it!
Mannn!!! RIP FAT PAT & BIG MOE!!! 😎🤘🏾🔩
DaleLayLow713 i still keep 25 lighters on my dressa. Yessa
Haha i was about to say it has nothing to do with the subject but finally a little htown shoutout lol
Random af 😂😂. Awwready tho 🤘🏽
Love to see FBZ getting some love🔥🔥
Let's not forget Fu-Schnickens
I would love to see HipHopDX put a top 10 must have albums of all time or a serie or top 10 album's must have.
how did u meet raekwon? (the signiture in the back)
Dominic Bruce I would assume on tour, MURS and 9th Wonder did Rock the Bells w/Wu Tang a few years back. Makes me realize i havent listened to Murs in a while...
Murs toured with Wu Tang?!?
My local record store got it signed for me in 93. I was a kid I was too shy to ask for an autograph. And if you look closely he spelled it “Raykwon” they were all there having a bbq. Meth shook my hand! Lol. Yes I did tour with them on Rock The Bells later in life.
Thats awesome
L.O.X. still putting it down. Dropped a major release & MAD mix tapes over the past 2 years
Kick in the door for the biggies. I caught that lol
Ijs tho
Cash Bbrown wow! You’re right!
I'll have to say hell yeah I agree with this analysis. I never thought about how many 3 person groups were so successful and influential. Murs being holding dyne these breakdowns for realDOWN SOUTH!!!
So we gonna act like Leaders Of The New School wasn't a trio
Rey Cruz 305 Dinco D, Busta, Charlie and Milo... That's 4
Rey Cruz 305 yes sir you are correct for one album they were. And for one album they weren’t. Then they disbanded. And neither was as impactful as Busta solo. They could’ve had an honorable mention. Yes. But time...
Rey Cruz 305 I stand corrected. I still don't see why De La wasn't mentioned.
MursTv yeah bruh I know that cramming content into a certain amount of time could be a issue when doing episodes. Thanks for the respond ✊🏽
Harry Msimuko yo your right! Maseo aka Plug Three raps on some of their songs
Once i saw Flatbush on the thumbnail, i HAD to watch!!
12:40 BARS
This video was hella insightful, keep up the dope work 👌
lmao i lost count of all of the "best ______ of all time" claims
Murs, keep up the stellar work man.
No mention of Naughty by Nature wtf?
While you might not agree with Murs opinions on who’s better than the other, you can not doubt or give this man shit on his knowledge of hip-hop. A genuine host that is devoted to the craft that we all know and love, makes for one hell of a show. And for that, we solute you Murs!
