That's what goes through my head even election year. I put the blame on the system. Either the system makes it _necessary_ for the runners to act this way in order to win, or, the system we have in place is absolutely powerless to stop this kind of childish and sometimes illegal behavior. To There's a reason why they call it the political "game". Because that's what it's turned into (or maybe always was), a game played by immature adults.

So you claiming its the flu is way off. The flu doesn't kill nearly half as many people per day as covid-19 is currently
