The cover band I play in in the UK (the Home Grown) play Spread Your Love and Whatever Happened to My Rock and Roll, and in most pubs it seems like the songs are not recognised by most folks. But every now and again someone will approach us during a break and say "that is such a great song" or "I've not seen anyone cover BRMC before". So hope is not all lost on music lovers.
Also something to mention would be Robert Been’s father, Michael’s passing during mid tour and their tribute song “Let the Day Begin,” should be legendary in rock n roll history.
An incredibly underrated band that reignited my passion for music after the decline of Britpop. I had the pleasure of seeing them live twice and even meeting them-genuine guys who create incredible music. Their songs are my go-to on tough days. Moreover, they've consciously evolved throughout their career, never repeating themselves with their albums. It's a shame they've split up.
I been a fan of their whole spectrum, it all started like back in '12 with need for speed, and keept discovering them, i just recently got wind of "Let the day begin" master track dear lord now i really love to see them live all by themselves in Mexico, metropolitan auditorium, would be perfect for them, they've just recently play at vive latino but dindt have the chance to see them (not a big fan of music festivals), they're so good, hope to chant with them some day, beer in hand and jumping ❤🤟🏻
Thanks for the post mate. I saw the brmc title and you’ve triggered stuff I’d forgotten about, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ride , Spiritualized, Jesus and Mary Chain…cheers
Something on the boxer rebellion would be cool. Their first two albums are a bit like a mix of early Kasabian and brmc. Cool story behind their second album too

Saw them on the Howl tour at Portsmouth, they were excellent. Loved them ever since.
underrated band... I have all their albums... saw them live twice... Rock City, Nottingham, July 2007 and Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, April 2007
Definitely underrated..though I never actually saw them live!
I wish this band got more attention

Ye got a sub fur that behaviour 🎉
Dark outsiders of the music industry? After all that they contributing to the rock and roll scene in the early 200s? A bit of an insult
It's not intended as an insult!
