Ironically, Noel's vile, rude, sneering, arrogant behaviour only showed him up for what he really is, yet Michael was THE truly gifted, charismatic, blessed one of the two of them and HE was the REAL rock star, NOT Noel or his equally repulsive, delusional brother Liam. We argued and sometimes didnt talk. But guys believe me you'll never get over it. So reach out to each other just for you two
One of the most sensible comments I've read on YT tonight. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. I'm a carer and I care for my mum. She drives me fucking mad almost every day but I still love her every single day.
Oasis and The Strokes my two fav bands 🙏🔥
When the Strokes first came out it was a brilliant music scene.
I was a kid when Reptilia came out. I always caught the music video halfway through and it took my fucking ages to know the name of the song/band
Interpol
What he said about Sam Smith, love it
What I love about Noel is even I don't agree with many of his opinions it's refreshing to hear someone just speak their mind without trying to be liked by everybody. Britain is full of people like that and it's boring
Noels totally ridht the 90s was epic ❤
I agree with Noel the strokes were absolute awesome I have to say Noel is spot on about music and he’s so unintentionally funny
He is SPOT ON .... He is the Real Deal ....!
No that’s me
Love this. Thank you!
The man who sold the world cover by Nirvana
I was hoping to hear Noels opinion on my favourite band Super Furry Animals because they have supported him on numerous occasions.
I love this guy
Stone Roses FOREVER 🍋
Love seeing him giving a tribute to Prince... a true musical legend.... gone way too soon 😢
The Bee Gees are the Biggest Manchester Band of them all
Yeh they buzzed off early beegees at creation records apparently
More to have passed through Manchester...I don't remember him long they were on Kepell Road, but it wasn't long enough to plant a Manc badge on their collars...
I love his interviews. His hubris is taking over lately.
Only covers I can think of that's better than the original would maybe be "With a little help" by Joe Cocker and "All along the Watchtower" by Jimi, Jimi's version caused Dylan to change the way he played it, Of course its all subjective and Im sure theres lots of people that disagree.
Top of the worst list has got to be One direction's Blondie's cover🤮
@@ianlaker6980 never heard it, might be a good thing
@@daviddundas4140 you really don't want to ruin your evening 🤣
Correct. All Along The Watchtower by Hendrix, is not only better than the original, but THE BEST COVER EVER. Name a better cover.
Robert Smith is easy one of the best guitarists the UK have produced. Look up a Siouxsie and Banshees live and watch him bang out some wickedly tight playing.
really? wow.
You spelled John McGeoch wrong!
I didn’t know anything about Smith’s background/rep as a guitarist, but I attended the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame induction and was blown away by Robert’s guitar playing
I'd hardly class him as one of the best guitarists but he's good , there's infinitely more skilled players out there. Smith is however a fantastic songwriter and performer
@@Blonde_Somnambulist It is down to what you think is good. Each to their own with guitarists. Cheers
And now your back together 2024👌🥇
You can beat the original, Jeff proved that.
I pretty much agree with every opinion on this. Noel is a fascinating person and he’s done the dance 👌
He’s damn right about Sam Smith.
5:29 Joe cocker's version of A Little Help From My Friends, but I doubt Noel would agree having started his music career as 2 second rate Beatles tribute band.
"brothers singing is like an instrument you can't buy" - what an observation
Goes for all siblings. The Andrew sisters are another good example. Amazing sound.
@@BreezyE-d3n All my siblings are talentless albatross’ around my neck
"If we got back together it would be a circus". How right you were Noel.
"wear this dress and SHUT IT!" 😂 never change Noel
Genesis' first album was called 'From Genesis to Revelation' actually.
“Here wear this dress, sing this song, and shut it.”
- Liam Gallagher on Harry Styles
Noel said it. Not Liam FFS🤦♂️
@@MishMash22didn’t even quote him exactly, so double fail.
Something he said there reminded me of something Ian Gillan mentioned when Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple for the 2nd Time & was asked if he would invite him back in the the band, & he answered " would you introduce your new wife to your ex missus!?" Brilliant!!
One of the only musicians with a valid opinion on music . The man has eclectic taste but knows quality .
Noel Gallagher wouldn’t know quality if it bit him on the balls.
All he has is a mouth that’s incapable of being shut. The amount of delusion he has is actually laughable, and he actually has the audacity to say it out loud.
This is the guy who said if he was a teenager in the 1950’s then he would’ve been in the Beatles. That’s all I needed to hear.
Noel says everything I'm thinking
Poor you🙄
He's a very intelligent and honest guy.
Damn, he even shares my unpopular opinion of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.
Interesting to hear the accent mellow as time passes.
All along the watchtower is better than the original. Hendrix.
So wrong.
@@spazzymacgee5648 Bob Dylan loved Jimi Hendrix version and once he'd heard it used Jimi's arrangement of it instead of his own
@@spazzymacgee5648 Not according to Dylan and anyone with ears and good taste.
Suprising not to put ocean colour scene considering he says they are one of greatest British bands (which they are)
Noel loves u2, clever guy, u can't deny u2 from 1980 - 1997 were great
U2 actaully suck live
They really were. After Joshua Tree it was shite
FYI all along the watchtower by Bob Dylan doesn’t compare to Hendrix version ! Dylan said he’d never play that song again ! 😂
5:32 " I don't know a cover that's better than the original, do you?" Come on Noel, you telling me ' New England ' by Billy Bragg isn't much better when covered by Kirsty Mc Coll, get a grip.
You can't having a career with a name like Billy Bragg.
I love both versions
Most bands in the 90s wouldn't of been the same without having watched The Stone Roses prior to forming! 🍋🍋🍋
Sam Smith is a total W⚓️
To be fair, so is Noel Gallagher !
@@nathanthomas5133 nah Sam Smith is in a different league of W⚓️ery
You’re both absolutely right
@@nathanthomas5133na, Noel is great. Smart and knows how to ham it up.
Sam Smith and Harry Styles. The opposite ends of a big W⚓😂
No - Noel's bagging Genesis for Phil's solo tunes - nothing wrong with 'in the air tonight' and Sussudio was even later and was to keep in the click with Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet, etc - it worked.
Spot on with Harry Styles too😂 Put on that dress and get out there and shut it😂😂😂
I would love to hear his and liams opinions on linkin park or Chester Bennington
Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC - it would just be interesting to hear what he said, even if it was negative. Dire Straits.
Wear this dress and shut it!
Love it.❤
“I had a lot in common with Kurt Cobain, he had blue eyes and we’re both Geminis” - Noel Gallagher
At least the blue eyed bit is true.
I wonder what Noel thinks about my top two favorite bands, Depeche Mode and The Cure.
Jeff Buckley was good there's no denying that. Disappointing how the guy mentioned hallelujah though, that song has nothing on Jeff Buckley's own written stuff, mojo pin and so real were great songs to name a few except for that really weird bad kind of solo in the middle of so real
