- So Yes there is a New Altered already out IN CN. Of course Altered is a Must Pull in almost every single comp. But lets talk about F2P and LOW spenders when it comes to Pulling Altered. Also I was able to receive MY Very First Whale TOF Account Back. So I figured in this Video I can take you on a quick tour while we Chat.

Tony with the real advice! If I read "Don't listen to Tony", I'd think it was opposite day.
F2P always need to weigh the balance of what resources they have and what benefit they get from pulling. For altered it's usually good to at least grab an A0 since Altered has such a long shelf life through many comps. Pulling for tons of dupes though can have more negligible returns. Particularly when pulling on later banners of your selected element can help keep things fresh and interesting for you as a player.
Probably will get lots of downvotes here, I nearly always pull on reruns instead of their debuts.
My goal in the game (since Lin was on CN), was full altered comp made by a6 units.
I have a6 Lin and Fiona and I can say, for low spenders and f2p, it was best decision. You can play both + 1 any dps a0 and you have the team.
In long term, is better to have a6 altered unit rather then mutliple a0/a1 dps units _(especially of different element)_ .
Lin _(a6)_ is still good after 10 months in the game, you cant say same thing about 95% of simulacra roaster.
In the end of the day, is good to realize, you can have only 3 weapons _(in your best interest is make them strong as possible you can do)_ , because of augmented gear, make sense to focus only on 1 altered/elemental comp _(team with non-augmented gear will be still underperforming than your main team with augmented gear)_ and because non-altered units ends up on standard banner, its better to invest into altered units and elemental units keep on a0/a1 then upgrade them later on for free.
They are two exceptions in unit roaster _(to pull independetly on your team comp)_ - Zeke for IK of any unit and Rubilia for free jetpack, saving you ton of time and making exploring great and fun.
If you pull for character design cant go wrong with fiona and nanyin
I think Hotta are a good Gacha dev. They are very generous with hand outs and even give DC for maintenance/update days. Their current system of Domain 9 astral zones bestowing buffs is good for ppl like me who wanna collect em all. You can use level 10 weapons and still explore the map bc each zones statues buffs your character like crazy (+35k element dmg/+100k HP etc)
Sure I could focus and A3/6 a 3 character comp but I A0/1 all I can get my grubby lil hands on bc I've never played a gacha game before E.G: Genshin etc and I love wasteland sci-fi of ToF & the gorgeous waifus lmao. I know I will never be up there with the whales but I play casual and for fun trying new playstyles each character gives.
I usually play solo bc no one ever teams up now bc server is dying compared to PS launch and never have a problem with content bc don't raise your world level unless you need the benefits.
Overall just have fun and play around for a while with what the game gives you via your pulls. Find what you like eventually and then push past the lvl 50 or so you should level test weapons to fully invest level 100+ the comps you know you'll love. Remember play to 50, invest to 100+
I Have Played TOF since January and gotten in sync with it's limited Gacha system when Lan came out (This is my first Gacha Game and I pulled randomly before). Now I basically do Flame comp with a side of Volt (Not F2p in fact I spent on the 15 red Nucleus physical Girl pack (Before Fenrir) before I pulled for Lan. I Have Lan Liuhuo Zeke Fenrir and now Mimi and feise along with the 2 alters and a copy of Lyra for support. I don't care If I Peform worse then whales and players with like 30-50k elemential atk compared to my 20k flame or volt atk and 13k Crit (Gear could be worked on more on the elemental atk side), I just like to have fun with the Weapons I get. (I didn't pick up the topheavy Rubilia), Pulled fenrir for Rainbow and got mimi cuz I liked her Playstyle and Gotta have at least gotta have more then just Lan leveled up when it comes to Tank/fortitude comp in Raid. All are A0/A1 and are Comfortably gotten in 100-110 pulls. Some of the time less depending on luck or if I only wanted A0 and won pity or gotten them off pity or didn't get them until 120 flame gold.
I am also A HSR player. Some things I like about HSR better but something I like about TOF Better.
I want to go for Nan ying next (A1 and Matrices) but If I like Lin Hang's Playstyle I might go for a copy of her.
me and you have the same mind set if the chr feel fun to play i go of it i do not care of meta i do not care to make my account 10x better if i do x to y no i just here to have fun like this game can go down anytime soon so why not just enjoy it why u can that my mind set
I’m personally conflicted between the new frost and the new altered. I have a4 Fiona, a1 Yulan, and a3 coco. I kinda want a dos resonance as well.
See idk. Too many metas are changing a little too much for my liking. (I wouldn't even care but the difference between A6 Lan and a0 zeke is wild.)
With Lan, Liu Hou, Zeke, Feise and now Nyan? Like... please let me enjoy my characters for longer than a month?
A0 Zeke is so strong that Even Feise can't catch up to his a0 while at A0.

Zeke/liu huo/fei se is one of the Meta rn for flame mains. Fei se being an off hand support.

Gacha games in general is also about resource management saving in the right time and spending it on something you love, me myself my enjoyment on the game is partly being competitive even being free 2 play since day 1, i was able to pull some heroes and save most of the time what i have as a day 1 f2p (saki a1, a6lin with a0 4 piece matrices, a6 fiona with a0 4 piece matrices and yulan a1) and currently i have 400+ limited summons to a6 another simulacra. I just prefer a6 rather than to have 3 a1 simulacra, because in the end of the day you only have 3 slots and to anyone saying this simulacra is no longer usable its mostly not true, i have a6 lin and she can do 100-110m passively with only just her field (lin skill) while fiona only deal around 15m or even less on a 90 second parse damage. Yet every content creator says lin is dead, lin is cope, lin is bad. For my test and knowledge lin also buffs/deals 100-110m passively while fiona deal less than 15m but buffs great, heals. Is that really a powercreep? For me it isnt its clear that lin has her purpose. This content creator saying one simulacra is dead or washed, they are the ones finding that extra couple millions of dps. I do 330-340m 90 second parse on cactus without relics, and lin deals 1/3 of that on the background. So decide for yourself whos wash and whos not.
Lin isn’t worth investing into especially this late into the game. Not when Zeke was on the table Fiona paint brush Yu lan. Future characters.
@@tonytooGhost i respect your opinion but again fiona and lin do different things on a comp fiona is a great buffer subpar healer while lin is off field buffer specially on a6 and yulan is a on field dps.
@@mr.poontang386 Zeke does everything lin does but better. if both are A6 Zeke is still better plus her matrices are tied to her.

This Lin hype was true. I was one of those who got her to A6, but I managed to make her my main DPS/Shatter using hold attacks while inside her skill. Although a bit underwhelming, I still enjoyed playing her, but the burnout was real. Expectation vs reality was a thing. That's why I got Fiona as soon as she was out, thinking that it would be a great addition to my A6 Lin, yet again, a bit underwhelming on my comp. Now, I'm opting for Nan Yin, only because I wanna complete my altered comp. Am not expecting more since the most I can get her is at A0 at hard pity with 2 50/50 rolls.
I play the playstation version and I put time and money in the game and I decided I. Going to main frost team so I got the unity weapon I'm Going to A6 Ling han as my main dps and I Going to pull for icarus then am going to try to A3 the altered weapon I'm sitting on 530+ summons for Ling han
Do monthly+BP+ 6480 tanium per month considered low spender ? I remember at 1st time i spend all my resource for A6 Lin and does not have enough resources for her limited matrix and a lil bit for nemesis A1 since i'm VOLT MAIN and can change to benediction if needed. Then i spend 120 red nukleus to pull Lyra (got her to A2) for void abyss with +4 star weapon buff to get party deny death 1 times at her A5.
I'm not pulling anyone else till Fiona come out, thankfully i can pull till A6 and full star her matrix. I get Claudia with gold nukleus pull from standard banner and A6 her with weapon store purchase. I pull 120 red nukleus to get A1 Zeke for miniboss/tower challenge insta kill, plus his trait can be used for Shiro Fortitude at 2 new raid or Lyra/Claudia damage. And i pull 120 red nukleus to get A1 Mimi since i'm volt anyway for fortitude. At that time there is rumour Nan Ying is fortitude character so my plan is Mimi + Nan Ying + Shiro with Zeke trait to get efficient damage fortitude to break 2 new raid boss shield. Sadly now Nan Ying is DPS resonance, so i stuck with Meryll or Huma.
I want Alter resonance to finish sequiential bygone. With Lin A6 (Habo matrix A0), Fiona A6 (scylla matrix A0) and Claudia (Fiona matrix A3) I can barely get to 2600 point reward. Sad thing is from what i see Fiona matrix need to use Fiona scatter tech to get Final damage buff so you must equip Fiona, and i see Nan Ying matrix need her equiped to get final damage buff. The bonus i can get from their matrix for Meryll/Huma + Mimi + Shiro comp is so little. Not to mention altered dont get any damage buff from A4 relic.
I’m a new player on ps5 and I have no team comp yet unfortunately, I wasn’t very lucky with pulls. Do have A1 Fiona and Zeke also got A0 Lin and Yulan but couldn’t get another good ice weapon next to Yulan, so quess all I can do is wait and save up.
That is such a riot and you are so correct. I quit Global 3 weeks after 6 starring Lynn. I also at the time was running A3 sake and A4frig
this is why i a support main in this game i do not need to have the new up to date dps unit or the new up to date meta team i can just play how i like to play and it work out of me like i a ice main but i pull of mimi to have a ok volt team as my 2nd main and i did pull of zake to doing to he qol of can 1 hit min boss the same of rub just of her jet pack skill and i thinking about get this new fire chr just of her skill to fly around like i do not follower meta like other i like to have fun with new wep will it make my account look bad maybe but as long i can do a few thing solo with my 23 to 25k ice atk with 11k crt i doing something right
Good advice, just started to live stream TOF and was wondering where the pain points of this game was. On ps5 I enjoy the game, decent team on each element on America sever 1. But I recently pulled new unit and really enjoy her. At the end of my live stream I pretty much solo’d frontier clash hard at level 69.. I don’t know if I could have done that with another team right now. I just subbed looking forward to here more about streaming this game because I’m looking for more advice. Thanks 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I fell for the Lin trap as well. That has a lot to do with many of us being new to gacha. The way every1 hyped Lin up... and she is literally just a sub dps. (Her having DPS tags was so misleading.) And then she got benched in no time.
Many creators (outside of you, cuz you never say something is a must pull) are to blame for how this game turned out. SO much click bait out there.

Not going to Lie I have her a6 and in a full fire team I survive a lot better but when I got fesei my damage for the team went up
Good advice bc I was saving for Ling Han but I figured it’s better to try to get as many new characters. I wasn’t planning on pulling for Mimi or Fei Se but I’m so glad I did get them. Fei Se was able to help me pass a few more floors of phantasm.
Lan Liu Huo and Zeke were big help when It come towards my progression in Bygone from when I first got Lan on her initial banner to when I got Zeke.
hi, i want to main flame because i love fei se, im planing to pull nan yin A1 and annabella A6 when she goes standard as a main dps, is it a good comp or should i go for liu A1 insteed ?
Annabella is kind of outdated liu hau is more current and a more solid choice
