_"I'll have two number 9s, number 9 large, number 6 with extra dip, number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."_ ~ Big Smoke It wouldn't be _GTA San Andreas_ without one of the most memorable quotes in the game.
Gta IV is the best game in the series for me, but my heart is always with San Andreas. Printing out cheat codes on paper playing with my buddies on max wanted level and switching when caught, going around my friend's houses to beat the motorbike mission when i got the trick, then playing SAMP, and returning to the game years later. So many memories in this game
GTA San Andreas is nearly single handedly responsible for my taste in music, which is mostly 80's rock and metal. Hearing Hellraiser and Welcome to the Jungle while playing did something to me back then.
Just in my opinion GTA:III, GTA:VC, and GTA:SA is the equivalent too The First 3 Spyro Games. Striking Lightning 3 Times In A Row! Childhood Favorites and Complete Masterpieces. Fat Boi!😂😂😂😂 Great Retrospective!
Ima definitely be late to work now haha. I sincerely hope this video does well for you. You do so great covering these games we all grew up together playing and we all know you got mad love for rockstar games! Just heard today gta 6 is still coming this year in the fall. Told my boss once that release dates announced he’ll know what day I won’t be there 😂 dead serious. Also just noticed you have cj rocking the stache like Claude in your gta 3 vid haha
For me, Vice City will probably always be my favorite GTA. That said, I do have a lot of fond memories of playing San Andreas. The gang warfare was annoying in that you had to do a lot for the story, but the glitch that added more areas to take over made it feel like I was actually taking control of San Andreas...and it did max out almost all my weapon skills before I even left Los Santos (I loved dual wielding the SMG's since, while crouched, the way you held both and basically didn't flinch or recoil when firing made you look like a turret mowing down enemy gang member). While the co-op was severely limited, my friends and I did have some fun with it. We'd use cheats to make things more fun, such as vehicles drive on water and getting a pickup (or whatever) with a trailer, one of us would stand on the trailer as the other drove up and down the coast just firing on whoever was on the beach. And, while many didn't like them, I did really enjoy Zero's RC missions. The last one was the most boring (you could just block off Zero's route and destroy everything in the way, thus making it 100% safe with next to no effort). I even enjoyed the mission of flying the biplane around destroying delivery vans; just something about wreaking havoc on the city with an RC plane that was a good time. Samuel Jackson did an amazing job as Tenpenny, but James Woods as Mike Torino was a standout favorite for me. The voice coupled with the shady government guy that he was made it so memorable and felt the perfect amount of over the top that you can't forget. Just finished the video and heard about you wanting to do the PSP GTA games as well. Those are great, and very underrated, games in the series that were an amazing addition to the stories of GTA 3 and GTA Vice City.
I agree, vice City is still probably my favorite as far as theme and setting go but San Andreas is without a doubt the most influential game in the series, and in general. So many iconic moments and stand out characters!
Listening to the KDST station and driving around the desert is a match made in heaven. You mentioning the Scholastic book fair brings back a lot of memories, thankyou very much for that.
Gta SA is one of the most iconic games in 2004, i remember waking up early in morning and play it on my ps2, the co-op was fun but limited i remember me and my friend would activate the car fly cheat and try to hit fighter jets with a flying hippie van 😂
Everytime you release a video, it makes my day after work. It's like an oasis on Yt these days, as stupidly metaphorical as it sounds. Keep on the good shit.
I still have the cheat book my brother wrote for the 3d gta games, literally the earliest memory of gaming for me was sitting down next to my older brother(by 12 years) playing gta sa and everytime he would die or fail a mission he would hand the keyboard to me( we played it on a old windows computer, still have it in our storage room) and that was 15 years ago. GTA san andreas is still my fav game of all time. I guess whatever gta game u start with will always be your favorite.
I will say at the time the voice cast was being announced in the music community Axl Rose being a DJ on the game was absolutely huge news at the time! Axl had not released anything musically since the song Oh My God in 1999 and prior to that the album Spaghetti Incident in 1993. Axl also had not been seen or heard from since the failed 2002 tour was cancelled. And people wouldnt see or hear from him again until 2006! Its absolutely bonkers how Rockstar were able to get a pretty known recluse to be a voice in this game.
I was lucky enough to be introduced to GTA 3 very young, had a Pentium 3 without a graphics card, it ran VERY poor. But I fell in love with that word, radio did the trick of building the world outside of what you see while playing. Played vice city and San Andreas later, loved every minute of it ❤
The amount of details you've explained in this review / deep dive ... man we really appreciate your videos mr.hammers and thank you for doing what you do best 🌟 🔨
I remember when my sister wrote down a ton of different cheats on a piece of paper at my grandpa's and I'd play every day trying new ones out, seeing what ones worked together. I'd usually just end up flying around the map, using the riots cheat and going to the sectioned off parts of the map spamming the lower wanted level cheat every couple minutes, good times those.
GTA San Andreas will forever hold a special place in my heart for being the very first GTA game i ever played back then when it released. I remember when KB Toys was still in buisness my mom and i used to go to the mall almost every month and my only way to know about the newest releases of games were only with news paper shoppers or just visiting stores when i could. I visited one of the KB Toys i frequently used to go and saw the game at display behind the cashier and asked my mom if i could buy it and while i understand that the cashier's job is to give advice to parents about games that are violent to kids and all i still wanted it tho "i believe i was 13 or so at the time" and got the game alongside those big cheat code magazines from a another store that had all of the cheat codes from the games released at the time and to this day 20 years later i still remember those codes by memory "the majority of them" but San Andreas was like my door to a different world outside of the usual Pokèmon games ect that i was acostumed to, not to mention my first swear words in english came from that game as well😂
What’s up Hammers hope your year so far has been a positive one, can’t wait to see where this channel goes this year keep up the fantastic work brother
Having played from the original ps1 game, im still blown away everytime i think about how far both this franchise and me as a player have changed over time, its a strange warm feeling, almost like these games have been constantly there throughout my life and have changed just as much as i have Anyone else ever think about stufr like this or am i just hi?
2:00 Shout out to the Scholastic Book Fair! We were so lucky to have that shit as kids, it's a shadow of its former self nowadays and I feel so bad for kids today because of that.
Lol😂😂 i remember my first time playing GTA San Andreas i accidently crashed my car into the water and assumed I was dead. Got up to grab a snack and came back to the game and I was like Holy Crap you can swim in this game. 😅 San Andreas and GTA 4 are my favorite GTA games to this day
No way! You telling me William Fichtner did Ken Rosemberg??? I .. Will have never guessed! It should be his only outside of the box character in all his career
In LATAM and (I think) Spain, GTA SA is still used for Loquendo videos, a throw back for any Spanish speaker who were a teenager in the 2010s. And MTA SA still kicking and updating. The modding community is insane, I would say it gives Skyrim's a run for it's money
Being such a fan, u should know that gang is called "families" n the johnsons were in the grove street set of it, named after the street they live in, obviously.
Protip if you're playing the OG version on PC - explosions will crash the game if you have multiple monitors running. Just set your display to only one screen and you shouldn't need to use any patches or mods. Unless you really want to, there's some great mods.
Saw my cousin play this laughed when he did a mission were CJ and Sweet went to the burger joint the employee pulls out a shotgun and he proceeded to run him over 😆
the rapper who plays cj is great. and the rest of the guys in this game. and the movie that inspired this game rocks. all the rappers in this game is great. and big worm. this cast is great. and i smoked with the actor from scary movie 2. and not a cig
Man seeing you play gta sa steam versions gives me a bit of nostalgia, but why dont you use silent patch, like atleast a old silent patch build, it fixes some thing, i recomand to use it, anyway nice video
If we could get gta 6 with how much u could do in San Andreas such as working out, eating, side missions like trucking, clothes & or a remake of gta 4 with the same things we could see the best remake of a game & best new game in coming months 🤞🏿
@MrHammers it captures the 90s vibe perfectly in higher quality better than the enhanced editions. Can you link me to the mods and wide-screen patch pls?
@josephbchua it's ThirteenAG widescreen patch and Silent Patch, both links and more options can be found on www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas
Actually you did know there was day of the week system, you just forget it How do I know? Because the most annoying mechanic in the game If you know... You know 💀
Still chuckle about first time biking off mountain & CJ yelling “I hate gravity!!”
Fun fact. San Andreas was originally going to have a system similar to switching characters in GTA5 where you could switch between CJ and Ceasar
it's a crime game genre, but the dialogue and cutscenes are silly and funny, which makes it the best

This video is a love letter to San Andreas
GTA San Andreas is nearly single handedly responsible for my taste in music, which is mostly 80's rock and metal. Hearing Hellraiser and Welcome to the Jungle while playing did something to me back then.
There are so many songs and artists that I know strictly from GTA radio stations, it's crazy
gta sa had something for everbody.
Just in my opinion
GTA:III, GTA:VC, and GTA:SA is the equivalent too The First 3 Spyro Games. Striking Lightning 3 Times In A Row! Childhood Favorites and Complete Masterpieces.

Thank you my man! And of course, gotta keep the stache trend going hahaha
The memories i have with this game are unforgettable. Thank you for the nostalgia trip, MrHammers! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for being here 🙏
As a GTA IV enjoyer, GTA SA is the better game overall in terms of cultural impact, map, and content.
Big Dawg I see your comments everywhere
And the amount of mods.
Better world but Niko is still the goat
Gta sa got re released so many times and was able to reach dif generations gta 4 got stuck on xbox 360 gen and pc
@@dudeguy7812 you can play gta 4 on xbox one too

"Carrlllll, learn to fly." Mike Toreno voiced by James Woods. 😂
best game of all time! Nothing beat all the mystery and secrets
Listening to the KDST station and driving around the desert is a match made in heaven. You mentioning the Scholastic book fair brings back a lot of memories, thankyou very much for that.
For sure! Some great vibes to be had all around
It's been like 20 years, finally you make video about GTA San Andreas.
Also Shooting skill allows you to go dual-wielding with some weapons like the pistol or even the sawed-off shotgun
Gta SA is one of the most iconic games in 2004, i remember waking up early in morning and play it on my ps2, the co-op was fun but limited i remember me and my friend would activate the car fly cheat and try to hit fighter jets with a flying hippie van 😂

Finally a new video from the amazing man Mr hammers. Thank you. You sir encouraged me to play Condemned:criminal origins.
out of all the San Andreas hour long reviews, i look forward to this one this most
🙏
Just finished the game awhile ago. What a coincidence that I stumbled upon this video. Cheers!

Damm idk ho developer pull this off but this is called hard work pays off no cap this game has everything in it

@@MrHammers Hell yeah dude perfect video to chill too after a long ass work day
Rockstar Games did try to argue that modders were responsible at first, but failed.
Another banger, my brother!
San Andreas is simply a masterpiece.
great video. i loved this game as a kid. thanks for putting this together and sharing.
Thanks for watching 🫡
Ahh man I’m glad you mentioned the scholastic book fairs cause that’s exactly where I got my cheat code books from😂 good memories
Dawg what timing, I ended finishing GTA SA while watching your Vice City review the other night lmao.

5:23 oh I see what you did there

Great start to my friday.
As much as I love San Andreas, I always went back and played GTA 4 many more times than it. Something about GTA 4 was special.
I actually haven't played GTA 4 or 5 since they were released, and I am excited to revisit them
2:00 Shout out to the Scholastic Book Fair! We were so lucky to have that shit as kids, it's a shadow of its former self nowadays and I feel so bad for kids today because of that.
Cheat code books and Guinness world records!
GTA SA is A Legendary Rockstar Game
Been excited for this video since the Vice City one.
Lol😂😂 i remember my first time playing GTA San Andreas i accidently crashed my car into the water and assumed I was dead. Got up to grab a snack and came back to the game and I was like Holy Crap you can swim in this game. 😅
San Andreas and GTA 4 are my favorite GTA games to this day
Remember spent many hours playing pool with my cousins and when bored went to make some havok with the PS2 co-op multiplayer.. good times
You killed it with this one man, I was wondering when you were gonna post again. You should consider Bully...;)
Hey thanks dude! I did a video on bully a few years ago!
No way! You telling me William Fichtner did Ken Rosemberg???
I .. Will have never guessed!
It should be his only outside of the box character in all his career
1:14:20 I love the fact you missed the glide with the parachute and flew back up with a jetpak. Felt very familiar :D
Shhhhhhhhhhh I strategically cut that out 😂
In LATAM and (I think) Spain, GTA SA is still used for Loquendo videos, a throw back for any Spanish speaker who were a teenager in the 2010s. And MTA SA still kicking and updating. The modding community is insane, I would say it gives Skyrim's a run for it's money
Loved the coop i did that a ton with my buddies. It felt like lego games
Still prefer Vice City a bit more for the '80s vibe but this was magnificent and pushed the limits of what an open world game could be.
Straight up epic game. Thx!!!
On a personal note, this video will always be remembered as a perfect addition to the game itself. Thank you for such a walk down memory lane.
Being such a fan, u should know that gang is called "families" n the johnsons were in the grove street set of it, named after the street they live in, obviously.
Hell yeah I knew you had something big cooking 😎
thank you for this video
When GTA 6 is released this year they should do San Andreas stories, have the technology today to do so compared to back then in the mid 2000's
Aaaannnd subscribed! 😊

I disagree but i like listening to people talk about their favorite games
there is so many mods for this game. from vegeta to Deadpool and more. and the new vice city mod is great. the nextgen mod
Man, they really took a step back with GTA IV, didn't they?
"aw shit, here we go again"
Cj also has different dialog towards npcs depending on his level of fitness.
Saw my cousin play this laughed when he did a mission were CJ and Sweet went to the burger joint the employee pulls out a shotgun and he proceeded to run him over 😆
Wow, such revelation, much originality. Lemme guess, rent is due?
The only gta game I didn’t complete cause the train mission was utterly broken
THE GOAT
That co-op sucked. Because me and my brothers would always fight for control and end up on opposite ends of the screen trying to win dominance 🤣
the rapper who plays cj is great. and the rest of the guys in this game. and the movie that inspired this game rocks. all the rappers in this game is great. and big worm. this cast is great. and i smoked with the actor from scary movie 2. and not a cig
I love this game. I hate, absolutely hate the flying missions.
I like the flying missions in SA way better than the boat missions in Vice City
Yo Hammers, could you plz talk about:
*Urban Reign
*Batman Begins
*Silent Hill 4
*Resident Evil 4
🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥
Ah shit Mr Hammers go again.
This was the first game I ever heard the N word in, which was amazing cuz I didn’t know you could do that. Kid me was flabbergasted

I used silent patch and widescreen patch for this
The rider things will always be the biggest fuck you in gaming. I wish we could have seen what was actually meant to happen.
1:16:55 Ryder was right, straight busta
33:40 ah ah he said it
Ya gotta do it
What about Claude's voice actor!? 25:45
Come on, we all want to see the full The Introduction video.
I had it in there but Take-Two copyright claimed the vid 😓
@MrHammers I hate copyright laws like this.
Yeah, I had no idea it would be a problem. Kinda ruined those portions of the video
@MrHammers But it makes no sense how others are able to get away with using "copyrighted material" while you can’t.
I will always hate the fact that you cant climb ladders in gta san andreas
Eyy at least u can climb fences
If we could get gta 6 with how much u could do in San Andreas such as working out, eating, side missions like trucking, clothes & or a remake of gta 4 with the same things we could see the best remake of a game & best new game in coming months 🤞🏿
I got this game on Christmas 2004 I was 12years old😅 greatest Christmas of all-time

Right there with u mane, 1992 represent
is this the PC version with upped graphics?
Steam version with just a widescreen patch and Quality of life mods, no textures though

No workers rights & 24 hr work cycles gave us some of the best games
