I watched spellbound the entire 6 minutes and 43 seconds. You gave those levers a real work out. You make it look so easy. What an incredible arrangement! PS, your Dad is right!
My Father used to play this on his piano, sadly he passed away and we were listening to it at his Funeral yesterday as a reflection of his life, so upsetting.. tonight I listened to your rendition of it Christy-Lyn..and felt the same emotions and truly applaud you for it. Cas x
Beyond next level. Slow and calm sounding when you close your eyes and just listen, so busy and so much activity when you watch with a bit of suspense of the next lever change before the next note, almost like the dramatic build and undertone of the music. Fantastic.
It's really beautiful and you somehow seem to make it flow effortlessly from your fingers. One of my favourite classical pieces. Thank you so much for the hard work!
This is one of my most favorite songs. I’m surprised you didn’t play it on your peddle harp. But wow you did great with all those lever movements. Not an easy one to play. Some day I will learn this one.
Sublime as well as very touching!! Keeping the right hand in a steady tempo throughout is a challenge in itself, and that combined with all the many and complex lever changes! And despite all these technical issues musically and emotionally so moving! I'm very impressed, in every possible way. A big thank you, Christy-Lyn! 🎩👌
Very kind words, thank-you so much! 🤗💕 I hope that this arrangement inspires more lever harp players that it is possible to do more than you think with a lever harp… and to go for it! 🙌🏻
@@LearningtheHarp I am certainly inspired to give it a try on the lever harp. I can play it on the piano, but on the harp it sounds even more beautiful to me. 🙂
Wow! Bravo, bravo! Your Dad's right, super fantastic. You really worked hard on this one. It sounds beautiful on the harp. I know at this time I couldn't play it but I'd like to someday. I would have thought it wasn't doable on a lever harp. Well done!😊❤
Thanks Jane, good to hear! I’m sure you’ll get to this someday, keep going 😃🙌🏻 It’s amazing what is possible on lever harp if you get creative and aren’t afraid to try 🤗
Wow! Beautiful. Not only levers the dynamics I’m sure the advanced members will love this. I on the other hand will tune in to listen and watch all the video releases
Hehe thanks 😅 In the end it’s so relaxing to listen to, it doesn’t sound very difficult, but figuring out how to arrange it for lever harp was quite something!
Thank you for sharing. My 10 year old son found moonlight sonata through gaming (forwarded really fast haha!) And he loves listening to both the gaming as well as the relaxing version. I'm going to have to get better to play this for him ❤
Wow, that's a lot of lever changes. It works nicely as a piece of music, and I'm glad this piece can now be played on lever harp - at least by those quite a bit better than me.
omg. This is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to learn this classical piece! Thank you very much for arranging this! I'm not an advanced player yet, I will definitely try this one right away. but I just found out that I need more strings🥲😅.
Aw sorry about that!! This arrangement needed more strings because you have to set the sharps or naturals in different octaves to make all the chromatic notes possible on lever harp. How many strings do you have? ❤️
Aw ok, pity about that! I usually try to make small harp arrangements as often as I can, but this arrangement just wasn’t possible to adapt for small harps unfortunately. But there are other advanced arrangements that will work on your harp, like River Flows and Clocks etc. And maybe you can gradually save for a bigger harp if you are interested in that? 😊
Thank you for performing this piece of music. I have always enjoyed Moonlight Sonata. I was wondering if you would perform O Divine Redeemer. I have not seen or heard it anywhere on UA-cam.
I’m sure you’ll get there sooner than you think, DeeDee! The main challenge with this one is staying relaxed and doing all the lever changes. But playing small parts of it slowly isn’t actually so bad. So perhaps in a few months you can give it a try! It’s fun to play little portions of it, if you can’t do the whole thing yet 🤗💕
@@LearningtheHarp I will say for what it's worth, I'm tempted to look into getting a metal harp if I can find one to tide me over until I can save up for the one I really want: A Dusty Strings FH36S of Mahogany and Bubinga. :D
So glad you like it, me too! 😍😄 I haven’t looked into the other 2 movements because only the first movement was highly requested and voted for, but that would be an interesting project for a harpist to attempt! Probably not me, though 👍🏻
@@vehrkalia I am still waiting for someone to play the 3rd movement on the harp! I hope Josh Layne can be persuaded to give it a go, it is my most favourite piece of music!
I have a question about watching your playing......were you plucking with your 5th finger, or were you just moving it out of the way , and maybe a little balance to your plucking technique? It looks like you're plucking (with your 5th finger), but I'm told you never use the 5th finger......and what a busy song!!!! I got anxious just watching you do a two person job of playing and flipping levers......and you didn't miss a beat. Would it be rude to ask how many takes you did on that recording? Anyway, you're wonderful! So is my harp teacher. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite. Even the Harp twins present an impossible choice between just the two of them. All things harp (and lyrre)!!!!
Aw that’s so nice, thank-you for saying that 🥰 I do still sing but haven’t been doing it for the UA-cam channel for a long time, you’re right! Maybe I will do more of that again sometime.
Wonderful! I'm sure Beethoven approves! 👏💖🙌
With the proper style of music this is such a beautiful instrument.

Wow, that’s so cool that you watched the whole thing, I feel honored! 🥰 Thanks for your lovely comment ❤️❤️❤️
So cool!!! More lever changes than notes to play in the left hand🤣 I love to whatch you play an I also listend the entire video❤️🔥

You have done a magnificent job with the arrangement, and your playing is absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
I'm super impressed with this arrangement, I didn't think it would be possible to arrange this for lever harp! It sounds so beautiful on harp ❤
Haha thanks Katharina! Honestly there were times when I wasn’t sure either… but we got there in the end! 😅😅
Lovely beyond words. Laying here in bed listening to the quiet with your beautiful playing. God bless you.
This has always been a favorite piece of music to listen to. Nice to hear it on harp.
I’m so glad, Lois! It’s such a quality piece of music, I’m glad I could play it on the harp 👌🏻
Excellent...your timing at flipping those levers was precise!
Thanks! Takes a bit of practice but it’s very satisfying once you get it right! 😅🙌🏻
Astonishing! I am impressed by the arrangement, and I hope I can improve my skills to play it too. 🤯
It's really beautiful and you somehow seem to make it flow effortlessly from your fingers.
One of my favourite classical pieces.
Thank you so much for the hard work!
Wow you did very well
This is just amazing…and quite difficult - how wonderful a display for us - great achievement here ! Brava
Thanks Lisa Marie! It’s a fun challenge to get all those lever changes right 😄🙌🏻
A labor of love, peace and joy

Absolutely stunning Christy-Lyn! Bravo!
Thanks Cassie, always nice to see your name in the comments. Sending lots of love! 🤗

Yes it would be much easier on pedal harp, but most people in our community are lever harp players and I wanted to make it possible for them 😄💕
Thank you so so much for all of your hard work. I can’t wait to get started on this. Bravo! 💕
Wonderful!! Such a pleasure, I’m glad I can help 😃🙌🏻

Thank you so much Christy Lyn!
Thanks Frauke! 🤗💕
Wow all those lever changes, well done Christy! Good thing it wasn't in C# minor - D minor worked great. Very impressive !!
Haha yes D minor works more easily for lever harp 😅

Great! I didn't think it could be adapted to Lever harp; but, because the left hand has fewer notes, there is more time to move levers! 👏
