Something I forgot to mention: Content ID can be a GOOD THING! In a perfect world, it would allow people to upload and share copyrighted content that isn't covered by fair use, such as movie/TV clips. People get to share stuff, and companies get paid for it. It's a win-win situation, and this is probably what UA-cam originally intended for the program. Instead, companies are abusing it to take advantage of individuals. It's quite sad really.

Almost all of my videos on my channel are copyright claimed, even the one on "HOW TO CORRUPT ROMS IN BIZHAWK" for the game music (even though it was corrupt and barely even in correct tune at all, it was sounding like static and melting records), and Microsoft Windows 10... Little note of advice if you do have problems with these claims call googles law office they officially own UA-cam and are the ones who automated the system therefore they need to be the ones notified about its abuse.

In essence, the maker of the song would have a bigger claim on the video than Hasbro. Copyright correlates with art and literary works like music or movies and things of the sort. Copyright is in place to make sure that the people who created their artistic works do not have their work stolen and/or used without permission. The copyright system is broken in the sense that companies can file a claim on anything they wish, even if it doesn't violate fair use. This mostly has to do with the misconception that people using clips from a movie or clips from a game violates copyright law since they don't directly own the property.
I honestly have no idea why or how any of it still legally falls under "stealing" when they disclaim it. Should be marked as "Stealing*"... *Or whatever we say is stealing so big business may easily legally strong arm any person into submission.

This is a bit off topic from the video, but can I just say your editing skills are actually REALLY impressive? It's honestly some of the best I've ever seen. I've been doing video editing for a long time, and it's nowhere NEAR the quality of editing featured in this video. Great job man. :) As for the video itself, yeah, I've heard Hasbro has been a real pain on the copyright side of things lately. UA-cam recently made an effort to fix the content ID system though, so hopefully this whole copyright mess will get resolved in the near future. Here's hoping for the best! :)

As a "Let's Play" channel I worry about copyright all the time. Thankfully I haven't had any problems so far :/ It's nice to see a lot of youtubers are making these kind of videos. It's bringing awareness of how broken the claim system is.

I agree that UA-cam's automated and careless system can't keep this up. Honestly I'm very surprised that a Google jurisdiction would even have these issues; it's just not what you would expect. Thanks for helping spread the word. Maybe it would behoove (heh) everyone to find a more open video hosting website. It would be hard to find one of similar polish to UA-cam, but with enough support it could certainly happen.

I havn't watched this video yet but the company that owns the show Miraculous Ladybug, or The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, are starting to remove any and all channels that upload the episodes that are subbed for the English veiwers who do not understand french. The rules that are in place range from stuff I am fine with (Like not posting rated R fanart) or to something which is odd, like not letting us upload a video that contains 2 or more minutes of on particular episode. But the strange thing is, they are only going after people on UA-cam, like Thepowers3000 or MiraculouSubs, and not websites like Kisscartoon.
Way back when MLP FiM was popular, they allowed to upload fan made MLP content with just the music from the show. And then, a copyright hit by then called Hasbro Studios (later eOne and now Hasbro Entertainment), and then owned by SME, and now, thanks to Orchard Music which now owns all of the songs by Hasbro. Orchard is the company that owns everything including albums that were long out of print, KPM Music Library, and many more which were now false claims.
I think Hasbro should talk more internally. I mean on the one hand there is the love letter that is episode 100 and on the other hand there are bullshit copyright claims for fair-use-protected videos, which means stealing money from artists. Apparently there are employees with completely different world views in that company and the CEOs should make a decision.

I had a copyright claim on a video that was just showcasing my friend and I playing a game, like wtf? I've gotten claims for music and so on and so forth, but it wouldn't let me go in and edit it out like it was supposed to. It wouldn't even let me take back my video so I could edit any music out. To be honest when I was playing I had my headphones off and I was listening to music from my phone with them. I didn't have a microphone then either. How am I supposed to grow a channel if I get random bullshit strikes that make absolutely no sense. I'm going to go and upload that video I was too lazy to upload now. +ijones36 Everyone use adblock would be a way. Asking youtubers to go to patreon and pay them the money directly so that youtube gets none of it would be another. We could encourage this by all subbers pledging say a dollar a month or more for all youtubers willing to take a stand against this, demonetize their videos and have viewers who care to actually support them temporarily or permanently. I know people think that companies don't care, but holy shit do they ever. Do people know how much they freak out over being 1% down from last month, and how little it would actually take when a group of organized both watchers and youtubers make a decision like that? Change is easier than we think, but it can come at a cost. What often holds people back is self-fulfilling prophecy, in the form of a false belief that they can't make change. Even if we didn't get enough to make a difference, we'd set an example that others may follow. If nothing else, we'd be putting our money where our mouth is. Instead, what will likely do is just complain more and point fingers and say greed is human nature (which is BS) like we usually do.
I know most ponies can't be bothered to decipher the superfluous legal jargon that accompanies appealing a claim strike against a video, but I salute you (as best a pony can salute) for navigating through this obvious smokescreen in an attempt to defend your original and very creative work that just happens to contain characters from a popular children's show.

If anything, while a claim is in process, the money earned should be Limbo til everything is resolved. I feel like that alone could solve many issues content creators have at the moment.
UA-cam seriously needs to rethink, like everything. This has seriously been getting out of hand (hoof). Some other UA-camrs I used to watch had gotten their account terminated because of popular companies taking advantage of them.

For example, a reaction to a widely released movie/TV show using small parts of it to make a point you otherwise couldn't have would probably be fair use. [Not necessarily safe from content ID though.] A reaction to a viral video, however, would probably not be considered fair use because the nature of the work is something which most people will watch once and forget about. A reaction video in this case could serve as a replacement for the original, and that's copyright infringement. Personally I'm in favor of reaction channels which have some originality and production value, but I don't care much for people who show an entire video and only occasionally talk over it.

I've actually sent messages to my state's US Senators and Rep since only the government can change the law. I've thought about contacting national news people about this story too because hopefully that can bring more attention to the public and in tern hopefully get the govt's attention.

UA-cam system is so broken, I don't try to make money off my videos but as a friend of someone who knows a lot of people who are trying to make a living through UA-cam. This is really getting out of control, I'm really hoping we can all come back to this video and all the videos in general in about 5 years and have a good laugh of how the UA-cam system was so broken back then...

As for the video itself, yeah, I've heard Hasbro has been a real pain on the copyright side of things lately. UA-cam recently made an effort to fix the content ID system though, so hopefully this whole copyright mess will get resolved in the near future. Here's hoping for the best! :)

Twilight is a special pony, her along with her friends been doing powerful things that none ponies were done before, because of that. All of the other princesses decided her to be the future Rulers
Twilight then soon becomes a rulers and rule the whole Equestria and has done a really good job and she's not alone. Twilight has her friends to side with her no matter what
However , Twilight becomes a alicorn means she's is the only one that are immortal, which is her friends don't
That make her slowly watch each one of her friends pass away while Twilight stay alone and continue to rule Equestria
But because of losing her friends and her families making the "light" or "happiness" inside her lost, and she finally rest with her friends at the age 2000
And because of Twilight death, Equestria soon to panic since there is no rulers to rule the place, making it hard to remain the peace. So the creature tries to call for help from the other princesses, but no response, they also just mysteriously disappear
So the creature have another solution, they then open a meeting and tries to find something that can help the situation they're in right now
After a long decision, they decided that each creature will have their own rulers, and one main rulers without have to being a alicorn
But not everyone is good, they used their power for their own good, Equestria been going through this for quite a long time. And because of this, that thing make the whole world goes chaos, the villains,theft,(you get the idea) start to exiting more and more making everything worse
Every Ponies lose their trust in each other, they don't befriend anymore, but if they do, they're just using each other,or betray, or lying,..ect..
And this causes the Harmony to broke
And now, which is the nowadays with technology and stuff, hundreds years has passed and the world been calm down a little, the "reborned" Twilight been having those dream about what i just tell you, the dream been going on for weeks, making her suspect and tried to solve this to see whats going on
After finally have some hints, she immediately goes on adventures to a old place calls "Canterlot" this place got "eated" by a weird trees that won't stop growing making ponies can't live here anymore (that is the tree of Harmony)
She then goes into the dark forest where she find her past life friends
Fluttershy,Rarity,Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and a new characters Sunset Shimmer
Each kind is in this forest for their own reason, Twilight is still doesn't trust them, but the rest still go with each other and have some small talks or whatever
They then all have to face some "quest" represents their element (its like the first and second episode in season 1) making Twilight trust them a little but Twilight its the only one that hasn't got her "quest" to "prove" or "show" her element, and because of Sunset is new, she will soon get her element soon
And finally after a long adventure, they finally reach the end. They found a old castle it's getting destroyed, Twilight expect it to be something that will solve all of this but the only thing they could find is a stained glass window, while everything stained window else got destroyed, that was the only one still look new and beautiful, it was the stained glass of the "pass life" main six
This really upset Twilight since she thought it was gonna be something special, but her and her friends have a wholesome moment or something idk
After all, she did receive something special, it was friendship. She believes that her and her friends together will restore the harmony with the power of friendship
(I really hope that Hasbro gonna turn this whole thing into a whole series because i really want MLP to come back, it was my childhood and I actually don't really like G5 lol)

I havn't watched this video yet but the company that owns the show Miraculous Ladybug, or The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, are starting to remove any and all channels that upload the episodes that are subbed for the English veiwers who do not understand french. The rules that are in place range from stuff I am fine with (Like not posting rated R fanart) or to something which is odd, like not letting us upload a video that contains 2 or more minutes of on particular episode. But the strange thing is, they are only going after people on UA-cam, like Thepowers3000 or MiraculouSubs, and not websites like Kisscartoon.

And then, a copyright hit by then called Hasbro Studios (later eOne and now Hasbro Entertainment), and then owned by SME, and now, thanks to Orchard Music which now owns all of the songs by Hasbro.
Orchard is the company that owns everything including albums that were long out of print, KPM Music Library, and many more which were now false claims.
I think Hasbro should talk more internally. I mean on the one hand there is the love letter that is episode 100 and on the other hand there are bullshit copyright claims for fair-use-protected videos, which means stealing money from artists. Apparently there are employees with completely different world views in that company and the CEOs should make a decision.

I had a copyright claim on a video that was just showcasing my friend and I playing a game, like wtf? I've gotten claims for music and so on and so forth, but it wouldn't let me go in and edit it out like it was supposed to. It wouldn't even let me take back my video so I could edit any music out. To be honest when I was playing I had my headphones off and I was listening to music from my phone with them. I didn't have a microphone then either. How am I supposed to grow a channel if I get random bullshit strikes that make absolutely no sense. I'm going to go and upload that video I was too lazy to upload now. We could encourage this by all subbers pledging say a dollar a month or more for all youtubers willing to take a stand against this, demonetize their videos and have viewers who care to actually support them temporarily or permanently.
I know people think that companies don't care, but holy shit do they ever. Do people know how much they freak out over being 1% down from last month, and how little it would actually take when a group of organized both watchers and youtubers make a decision like that?
Change is easier than we think, but it can come at a cost. What often holds people back is self-fulfilling prophecy, in the form of a false belief that they can't make change.
Even if we didn't get enough to make a difference, we'd set an example that others may follow. If nothing else, we'd be putting our money where our mouth is.

For example, a reaction to a widely released movie/TV show using small parts of it to make a point you otherwise couldn't have would probably be fair use. [Not necessarily safe from content ID though.]
A reaction to a viral video, however, would probably not be considered fair use because the nature of the work is something which most people will watch once and forget about. A reaction video in this case could serve as a replacement for the original, and that's copyright infringement.
Personally I'm in favor of reaction channels which have some originality and production value, but I don't care much for people who show an entire video and only occasionally talk over it.
