I don’t think it’s been officially stated anywhere, but I think the Caramel dogs are supposed to be Akita dogs! They look similar to Shiba Inu’s. I believe they’re actually the national dog breed of Japan because of the famous dog Hachi, who was an Akita.

caramel dogs remind me of a dingo, or “carolina” dog.
