First off, thank you for the very accurate 'before/after' pics using the exact same lighting. So many people change the lighting to make the 'before' look worse and the 'after' look better than they actually are. The Niacinamide and Discoloration serums definitely have my interest now!!
You're very welcome! I know exactly what you're saying...lighting makes a HUGE difference in how photos turn out. I stood in front of the same window at the same time of day and also used the same camera to get the most accurate results possible. 😊♥️
You are/were a really great test-taker in school, weren't you? You always seem to have a great grasp on the things you deliver to us. Like you study it, understand it, and remember. So often you explain something in a few sentences or even a few words and immediately I understand something that's been giving me trouble to understand This review means a lot to so many of us. Some people really can't afford to use things like drunk elephant or even to spend money trying different things out. 😍
Thank you so much! I'm so glad because sometimes I wonder if I'm making any sense! 😂 But yes I was good at tests in school...I used to sit in class and just listen and my teachers would complain that I didn't take notes. But when it came to test time I remembered most of it so they stopped worrying after a while. 😊♥️
Thank you for a great video.. I was watching many about Good Molecules and the Niacin-amide you show before and after is amazing... I'm going to try a few products. I work in Dermatology as a skin cancer surgery nurse, but after working this job for ages and ages I am fairly well versed in general dermatology. Hydroquinone is a great RX if used properly. It can only be used for about 9 weeks at the 4% typical strength then one has to go off of it for a period of time according to what their MD tells them. A lot of problems and or, bad things have happened in countries where it is readily available without a RX and women that want pure white skin can get it much higher than 4% and they use it daily for a very long time so it has a rebound affect. Rather than reducing the production of melanin it increases it. It's very common in Asian countries to have the problem unfortunately. If used long term with no, "break" at 4% it can have a rebound as well. So, it is not bad, it has to be used properly. Sorry for the diatribe, but I was wanting to set it semi straight about the prescription of hydroquinone and it's very, very important for patient compliance and I'm not sure any OTC or other could ever cause harm? All in all any skin lightener takes up to 4 to 5 months (should be used at night) to start to see a difference in melanin production and many ppl give up.
Yes! You’re right... Beautylish is a great company. I had a small issue with an order one time and the ladies there were sooo incredibly helpful and nice! Probably one of the best customer service people I’ve ever dealt with! And geez Jen.... your before and after pictures speak for themselves! That’s amazing progress after just one month! Usually it takes about 2-3 months to see a real difference. Keep wearing your sunscreen especially when driving! Thanks for another wonderful review! XOX.
I live that you are getting in to the science behind all of the ingedients!! Also, thank you for doing the befoe/after pictures!!! Love watching your channel grow!!
That's what I think too! Because when I'm going to be outside for more than a few minutes I always wear sunscreen but if I'm just running errands and am mostly inside, I don't always think about it. I bet it's just years of driving finally catching up with me!
Beauddiction Yep! Gotta wear it every day, all day, even inside. My skin looks much better since I started doing that. I put on a CC cream or Farmacy Green Defense on as part of my morning skincare.
Lol, that's why I always wear hat and face mask even in the car, and all my friends look at me as an alien. But I dont care, whatever works for me and give me good skin is best cause my friends will not buy me skincare when my skin aging.
I purchased almost the whole line of products and after a week of using my skin looks so much better!!! Love this line and will never use anything else..
I love this line! So affordable and really really great products!!! I've been using the super peptide serum mixed with the brightening serum in the morning. Lovely! Their ultra hydrating facial oil is a gem too! Such amazing products!!
Been using the daily brightening serum from them for about a month and it’s amazing! My skin doesn’t look as dull and feels smoother. I also use the overnight exfoliator but I mixed it in my moisturizer which seems to help with the tingling.
I appreciate SO much the in depth look you give into products and ingredients and you find the best products! I can’t wait to try some of these, I’ve desperately been trying to find some more affordable options for my problem skin. You’re a life saver!
Their cleansing balm is really good and for the price. I’ve also tried the peptide serum. Love how they take the care and time to package up what we purchase, they make you feel special cause it’s not just thrown in a box.😘
I love your review. My dermatologist had Good Molecules on his list of recommends and I was watching a few reviews that were blah. But again younger reviewers. Thank you.
My gyn prescribed oral tranexamic acid tablets when my periods were really heavy. It reduces bleeding by promoting clotting. I wonder how it works in skincare? Maybe it prevents the breakdown of collagen?
Peptides definitely do work! I suppose it depends on the right ones. I use the Timeless Skincare Coenzyme Q10 + Matrixyl 3000 Serum and noticed a huge difference in my neck when I stopped. I thought it wasn't doing much! The Timeless 20% Vitamin C Serum made the biggest change in discoloration. I'm very interested in adding a couple of Good Molecules products now. Thank you for the thorough review!
Oh my gosh! Thank you for doing this 30 day review! Affordable skin care that makes a difference? I’m sold!! I bought the 2 you recommended, the overnight, the squalane oil, and the hyarulonic acid serum (to get the free shipping 🙄). All that for $40 & I used your links so they know who sent me 😊
I'm in Australia and received my delivery within a couple of days! I'm still gobsmacked it was sent from San Fransisco to Melbourne so quickly! As you said, beautifully packaged with my free samples in a velvet bag. I'm very impressed and looking forward to using the serums. Thanks for your excellent review, too. 😊
I have thought about trying this brand, as I do have The Ordinary and am loving what I have. But it is the beauty junkie in me that always has to try. LOL For the left side of your face being more of sun damage, I would say yes it is when you are in the car. As the sun rays come through and that is why they mention it is important to wear sunblock all the time. I know even on arms, if you are that person who has your arm with a view of the sun and it is hitting it, you will have slight darkness or tan. Thanks so much for the info and sharing, have a good weekend! xoxo 😘🙂
Don’t use chemical exfoliants every night ! They’re usually intended for like a once a week type of treatment , you don’t want to sensitize your skin with so many products and exfoliants because then you can ruin your skin barrier ! 🙂 I learned a lot from Hyram and Susan yara lol
I’ve used hydroquinone and it removes the color completely in age spots. I had no idea it was controversial! It’s the only thing that’s ever removed the color in my hyperpigmentation, darn it! It always made me feel sort of the same way the prescription Retin-A does. Once the discoloration faded I discontinued use. I hope I’m okay!! So scary! Thank you! 💕
I got a few Good Molecules products after you showed them to us back in May: niacinamide, overnight exfoliating, wake up eye serum, hyaluronic acid, and the super peptides. I really like the niacinamide and the eye serum, and the hyaluronic acid seems to work; I get far fewer and smaller dry spots. The exfoliating serum is a bit strong for my skin but seems to work all right. Haven’t noticed much difference as far as wrinkles, so I’m not sure if the peptides are doing anything. Excited to try The discoloration corrector when I repurchase.
I also felt that the exfoliating serum was strong. I could only use it once in a while and the peptide one didn't make much of a difference for me either. 😊
may i ask was there any weird smells that you could not tolerate? i bought an oil from the ordinary and it has such a strong smell that i cannot wear it anymore! hope to hear anyone replies!
Great review. I get confused with all these different serums. I'd like to try these. I do have a couple from The Ordinary and they feel sticky which I don't like.
Thanks for the review on these products. I've never tried anything from this brand but now may have to check them out. I love getting good products that really work at affordable prices .
Thank you for this awesome review! I've been wondering how that products are because the price point is so amazing! I will definitely be ordering some things next time I run low on my current skincare products.
If you often wear your hair as you are in the video, it’s likely that tucking it behind your ear on the left-hand side exposes it to more sunlight whereas wearing it down, over the right-hand side of your face protects that portion some-what. I have the same issue but in reverse! 😊
Yay, thank you for this review Jen. I’ve been wanting to try Good Molecules for a while but I’m trying to finish what I have now before I do. I have combo, acne prone, sensitive skin with freckles and acne scars so I’m hoping this line helps with my so not perfect skin.
Thanks for the details, the discoloration serum sounds really good to help me with my Sun spots. Do you think the overnight exfoliating treatment will be good for those bumps on the skin or it might be to harsh.
Very informative, Jen, as usual! I've been using The Ordinary for years now (primarily retinol, vitamin C, buffet), and my test for their effectiveness is how quickly my skin heals after any trauma, such as Rudolph nose after a bad cold. I had no intentions of changing but, when I finish what I have, I may try the Good Molecules niacinamide and discoloration correcting serums. I use niacinamide if I have occasional blemishes, but I thought it might be too drying to use regularly. I'm going to use it more now and see what happens to my pores. And I think you're smart about the hydroquinone; I wouldn't use it, either.
Jen! I was low on some products and finally needed to buy some more skincare, and I remembered this video. After your experience I decided to give a few things from Good Molecules a go, and just started. First impression was that everything was super nice and after a few hours I don't feel any reaction, so far so good. I'm hoping that over time I'll see some positive results like you did, and the price tag doesn't hurt!
I’ve been an avid user of the ordinary but definitely will want to try the hyperpigmentation serum from GM! The sun spots might also be from sun exposure due to your hair part. Your hair is parted so that the right side of your face has more coverage from the sun, while the left side of your face and neck are fully exposed
Thanks for this great review. ❤️ I just received my order and it arrived quickly and was packaged beautifully. Looking forward to seeing how they work on older skin.
When I first started using the Overnight Exfoliating Serum it stung, just like you mentioned. However, after using it for a while I no longer feel anything at all.
Yeah, Beautylish is based in San Francisco, but they have an office in Philadelphia. I've been using GM for about a month & a half, & definitely see an improvement in the texture of my skin! I haven't however seen any difference in areas where I have hyperpigmentation & spots, I have both the brightening & discoloration ones. Maybe they just take more time. Definitely planing to order the Squalene Oil next purchase! Really wish they made a Retinol serum!
I've been using the dark spot serum and I actually really love it. I haven't been using it long but I have noticed a slight difference in my dark spots. It makes my skin super smooth too.
Great review. Thanks! Left side sun damage is definitely a thing from driving. I had some actinic keratoses removed earlier this year and of the 6 spots removed, 4 were on the left side of my face. The ones on the right were smaller as well.
I totally believe that as well! I once saw a picture of a man who was a truck driver and the left side of his face had aged sooo much more than the right side. I guess that's why sunscreen is important all the time!
It's an amazing ingredient and I never hear anyone talking about it! Everyone is always all about the Retinol but sometimes that stuff bothers my skin.
Thank you for the informative review. I really appreciate your before and after pictures, so important for a skin care review. I also didn't find the peptide serum to have much affect, but very interested in the niacinamide serum. Great job Jen!
Thank you for all of the information. I use some serums that I get in the vitamin area at Walmarts. They are $10. and 2 oz. I have the Collagen Serum and the Hyaluronic Acid serum. I am getting on line to get 3 of the ones that you have. The Niacinamide, Discoloration, and the Overnight Exfoliating Treatment. Love watching you! Thanks!
This is an awesome, thorough review and completely irrelevant but I love how clean your kitchen/dining area is 😄 I'm ordering GM as we speak on Beautylish.
How long do you think the 1oz bottle will last? Will u try the eye treatment? I just ordered the eye treatment and Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment . U definitely ARE an influencer :)
I actually just discovered this line at ulta yesterday, I really want to try a few products for myself including the hyaloronic acid which is just $6, thanks for sharing your video, great results...☺
@@lindaackerman3507 i was looking for this products of good molecules the corrector of dark spots but I already see in some reviews there’s not changes in some people. But every skin its a world so im gonna try with this brand or vichy products 😁
@@kriss0492 yes its true, there really is no change except it hydrates a little but not enough for me, I now love the roche-posay 89 serum, feels good on my skin.
Thank you for this! Did you happen to see Jessica Braun review Drunk Elephant in a recent video? Nothing was under $60! These products in your video seem like the way to go! And also was curious about The Ordinary but it sounds like maybe this stuff is superior? Also, tranexamic acid (Lysteda) is a treatment for heavy periods, isn’t that wild? Never thought to put it on my skin! 😂
I didn't see Jessica's video yet, I'm so behind on all of my subscriptions this week! I hear that Drunk Elephant is an awesome brand but I haven't tried much from them! Also I did read that the Tranexamic acid was for heavy periods! So interesting!
Jessica said most of the drunk elephant ones weren’t the best and had lower price options and the few she did like she had alternates for. Not to be disagreeable but I have found Jessica’s channel more refreshing now. I know we all have our own opinions though. 😊
Kristina I love a lot of influencers and I love comparing notes between them - I fully believe that Drunk Elephant probably has lower priced alternatives- don’t they all? I’ve already ordered Jen’s suggestions from this video and I will try them out!
Look at the Wayne Goss video where he makes a recipe using 4 drops each of the Super Peptide, Overnight Exfoliating, Niacinamide, Wake Up Eye, Hyaluronic Acid and 2 drops each of Squalene, & Hydrating Facial Oil. He only uses this serum mixture at night.
Is the brightening does it contain hydroquinone ? Be careful in K - Beauty and the words brightening my friend ended up with very prominent hyperpigmentation on her cheek as brightening another word for whitening bleaching
WOW! You had great results! I'm sold! I think that you are right about the freckles on the left side of your face. They're probably from driving. Typically the left side of the face gets all the sun while driving. Either way, you look fabulous! XO 😘
You’re not supposed to use Niacinamide with Vitamin C because they cancel the effects of each other... but you can use one during the day and the other one at night for example 😊 I loved the review!! You always do a good job Jen, I love your channel!!
Thank you so much! 🤗 Also when it comes to Niacinamide and C, that is actually something that's been proven not to be true! This video from Beauty Within about Niacinamide explains where that came from and why it's been disproven. 😊♥️ ua-cam.com/video/_77pU3WHVdM/v-deo.html
Their cleansing balm is good but I learned after using and liking it there is a form of palm oil on it which is terrible for destroying the rainforest 😭
I’m super interested in these products but out of the two you like the most how do you incorporate the maylove serum? I really want to try it but am not sure how I would incorporate all of them into my routine!
Is beta arbutin and alpha arbutin the same thing or different..... I'm asking because I need some skincare badly and I noticed the ordinary has a brighting serum also but it's with the pure alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid but after your research I want to make Shure ❓❔❓❔ thank you 💖 great video💚💜💟💛💙
I love beautylish and im from Australia. I receive my orders from them quicker than i do from the Australian Sephora. Also their customer service is amazing!
You can use a serum right after you cleanse the face! Using a toner/essence or humectant allows the serum to sink in better but nothing more than that! 😊😊
Luigi Love also some serums are so light they’re literally the exact same consistency as toners and essences. At this level of skincare I honestly think the distinctions are arbitrary. Serums can do everything a toner can do. And sometimes their characteristics are completely indistinguishable. She said serum should be used after humectants but some serums are humectants. Some toners are exfoliating toners and so are some serums. Imo they can have the exact same properties. And putting either on damp skin is more than enough “prep” for either to absorb and soak in beautifully in my personal experience. One isn’t a precursor for the other.
@@nairabee245 exactly!! I wish more people knew about this! But it all depends on the type and consistency! Even though I love using toners, I do not feel toners are essential tbh i mean you can get benefits of a toner in a serum too for example in place of using a hydrating toner which is usually hyaluronic acid, you can use a HA serum and same goes for exfoliating toners so why bother with additional steps? You can use a toner or essence for skin prep if you want to but its not compulsory! Damp skin will do fine for better absorption of the serum!
So I know this is a super old video and you have a zillion followers, but are you still using good molecules? I’m actually more of an 85% skincare consumer 15% make up. But I love hearing from you on anything skincare!!

I've been using the dark spot serum and I actually really love it. I haven't been using it long but I have noticed a slight difference in my dark spots. It makes my skin super smooth too.
I was so excited to see this video! I love how informative you are in your videos!! Btw your skin is amazing ❤️
Aw thanks Jen! ♥️🤗
What one would you recommend for in the morning and what one would you recommend for night?
Uuu the niacinamide 😍 the before and after!!! 😳 I need this!!
Thanks Jen for your in depth review. I love the results. I will be ordering the ones you recommend.
Great info-thanks- just ordered two bottles of the niacinamide.
I have more “issues” on the left side of my face as well. I think it’s from driving?
I think so too!
You look great for 42! :)
Aw thank you so much! 🤗♥️
I am currently using their products and I like them and I LOVE their prices!😁 Thank You for the review. ❤️
I was looking at these the other day. I knew I had heard of them before. Of course from your channel lol. I really wanna try niacinamide!
I have been waiting for a review on this brand, I really want to try it!
I definitely saw a difference in your under eye. I think it would make a more noticeable difference if you kept using it.
This was the best review im going to pick up the niacinamide one and discoloration one thanks!
Welp, after watching the full video I’m definitely getting the discoloration serum. Thanks for your review.
I have been waiting for this !!! Can't wait to watch :).
Ugh, age spots! Those days of Coppertone 4 at Robert Moses Field 3 have come to haunt. But who knew?! 🤷♀️
Will be trying the discoloration serum 👍🏼
Oh my gosh, my husband always talks about Robert Moses. I think he took swimming lessons there! 😂
What order do you use these in? I’m looking to start a good skincare routine and there’s a lot here! Thanks ☺️
Thanks for the great review and pics. I've been looking at this brand. I'm in PA so I'm curious about that
beautylish sells good molecules so it is next on my shopping list. Ty
This hair color is really pretty on you
So informative..You never disappoint..Thank you Doll.💙💜💖❤
Thank you for the objective, sincere review!
Thank you for doing these for 30 days!
How long do you think the 1oz bottle will last? Will u try the eye treatment? I just ordered the eye treatment and Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment . U definitely ARE an influencer :)
I think it'll last quite a while because a few drops covers my entire face! After 30 days I barely made a dent! 😊
great. Your order came so fast. I don't think mine was even processed yet.
I got my order today and I was so impressed on how it was wrapped and packaged. I also got a sample of Oribe dry shampoo :)
So you prefer this niacinamide better than the paulas choice? Are you using Tretinoin at all?
Thanks for this review! I love niacinamide so I may pick it up.
I actually just discovered this line at ulta yesterday, I really want to try a few products for myself including the hyaloronic acid which is just $6, thanks for sharing your video, great results...☺
And how’s the products?
@@kriss0492 I actually switched to other products now, I didn't find them hydrating enough for me.
@@lindaackerman3507 what type of skin you are?
Thank u for your honest e
Overview of Good Molecules!! Very helpful, and may save me some money!!!! Have a great day💞
I have a a question. When you used the serums did you apply them all together or different ones on different nights ?
Look at the Wayne Goss video where he makes a recipe using 4 drops each of the Super Peptide, Overnight Exfoliating, Niacinamide, Wake Up Eye, Hyaluronic Acid and 2 drops each of Squalene, & Hydrating Facial Oil. He only uses this serum mixture at night.
Is the brightening does it contain hydroquinone ? Be careful in K - Beauty and the words brightening my friend ended up with very prominent hyperpigmentation on her cheek as brightening another word for whitening bleaching
Wow Jen results are looking Great! I'm very interested 😊
Great video. You work so hard for us. Appreciate it.
WOW! You had great results! I'm sold! I think that you are right about the freckles on the left side of your face. They're probably from driving. Typically the left side of the face gets all the sun while driving. Either way, you look fabulous! XO 😘
Aw thank you so much Jennifer! I think that's the cause also! Now I have to make sure I'm always wearing sunscreen!!
Did you just mix them all together when applying? I ordered their set and am wondering the best way to apply. :)
No I just layered them one at a time. 😊 I used a few in the morning and then a few at night. ♥️
You’re not supposed to use Niacinamide with Vitamin C because they cancel the effects of each other... but you can use one during the day and the other one at night for example 😊 I loved the review!! You always do a good job Jen, I love your channel!!
You can. That theory is not accurate anymore.
Oh! I didn’t know that! I’m happy you guys shared that info with me 💕
I have been using their Vit C powder and it’s really good. I’m eyeing of their cleansing balm. They remind me of The Ordinary products.
I just got a vitamin C powder from Versed (a new brand at Target) but I haven't tried it yet!
Their cleansing balm is good but I learned after using and liking it there is a form of palm oil on it which is terrible for destroying the rainforest 😭
MissCheriess How do you use the Vit C Powder? Did you mixed it with something?
I’m super interested in these products but out of the two you like the most how do you incorporate the maylove serum? I really want to try it but am not sure how I would incorporate all of them into my routine!
Did using aha on the backs of your arms help with the bumps? I have those and they are really annoying.
Yes it has a lot! The Ordinary Glycolic Toner has made them a lot smoother in a short amount of time. It's affordable too!
That is good to know. I’m Australian too and I’ve never ordered from them before so having feedback about Beautylish is helpful. Thanks!

No problem
4:16 Please dont use serum right after you cleanse your face. Serum should be use after toner or something that is humectant.
I thought you needed a toner to balance the skin’s ph to make other products or serums to work better?
@@AshlynSchaetzle there are ph balanced cleansers so its not always necessary
So I know this is a super old video and you have a zillion followers, but are you still using good molecules? I’m actually more of an 85% skincare consumer 15% make up. But I love hearing from you on anything skincare!!
Will definitely check out this line and thanks for this video!
Jen, I have been seeing an ad on Facebook for Maelove glow serum with your testimonial. Do you still recommend that product?
I do! I think it's a really effective vitamin C serum at a good price! 😊
Thank you Jen 😘
If I don’t have large pores, will niacinmade benefit me at all?
It's also supposed to help with fine lines and wrinkles!
