The point you make about opening the throttle all the way, then removing slack from cable, is exactly correct. That's what I needed to hear. Thanks. This is very helpful.
New by here. I just had a turbo 350 built and didn’t understand how to make it shift right. Now I understand stand. I was setting it extremely loose. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🤘🤘
My cable is loose. Is that why it won’t go into 3rd or high? Shifts fine into reverse, 1st and 2nd. It’s the same cable and carburetor in my old 66 Chevy truck. Thanks for your reply. I think the locking clamp slipped?
It's a universal braket that came with the cable when I bought it on Amazon. Link below. Billet Aluminum Gas & Brake Pedal... www.amazon.com/dp/B01BFR06KA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I bought a edelbrock carb and I have a upshifting problem . I have the oem kick down cable is it adjustable?
Yeah, it should have a little plastic push tab type thing that allows the cable to slide. What transmission are you using? 700r4? Or 350?

Check the governor on the side of the tranny. And your vacuum modulator. That can cause it not to shift up into gears.
@@cartsquads47 I adjusted the cable a little 5/8” and it’s shifting fine now. Thanks for your reply.
Thank you 🍻
Where can I get that plastic piece? Mine was so brittle it broke
Ebay has them and Amazon.
Sorry to say , that IS NOT a TH350 kickdown cable. That is a TV cable for a 700R4. You have the WRONG cable.
Sorry to say, you have absolutely NO IDEA what your talking about.
@@cartsquads47 🤣🤣🤣👍
That is a th350 kick down cable. I have the same one lol
What kind of bracket is that? for the throttle cable?

Ah yes, file the harder to replace piece. Genius.
