Klaasen seems really sorry for his past stupidity. He applauds Van Gerwen when he wins and asks the audience to applaud him. Looks like he wants to win back MvG’s attention.
He screwed up but his behavior on the stage is impeccable. To his credit.
He did something very dumb in the past. He will never get rid of that history and that's that. Jelle was punished, arguably not enough, he made apologies and went on with his life. And I think he since never made a mistake again. So fair play to them both for dealing with the situation in their own way

No one cares how sorry he is , once you cross that line of trying to have sexual relations or actually have sex with an underage child then there is no getting back on the right side of that line no matter how much he behaves in the future.

@@marka4204 Thank God, someone else with common sense! Can't believe how many comments I see making excuses for Klaasen or telling Michael that he should forgive him and move on, um, no? It's just by luck that her parents found out about the messages before it went beyond that, otherwise he probably would have had sex with her let's be honest. Klaasen sent nude pictures in 2012 to a close family member of MVG who was only 15 at the time. She was also reported to have mental health issues. Klaasen was given 16 hours community service and fined about 300euros

Paul Bonham MvG doesn't look 'right' in your opinion? Well, let's look at the facts first. In terms of talent, ability and mental strength MvG is the best player by far. Has been for many years and without any other player coming close. The gap between MvG and the second best player in terms of actual tournament wins this year is HUGE. Like it has been every year for the past 5 or 6 years. Just take a look at the difference in prize money this year between MvG and a player like Price. You can buy a mansion on a hill for that kind of money. And the stats between MvG and Price are 19-1. But yeah for you MvG is the biggest lay. You can deny all you want. The facts prove you wrong.
@@hansolo2121 around even money there is no value. Price at the moment is playing the better darts. So there's the value. I would make mvg around a 7/4 chance so in my eyes laying evens is value. If the price is wrong it's wrong. Price should be around 3/1 not the 11/2 he was a few weeks ago.
I agree with you Paul I think he is well worth laying at evens. For all he has won it twice he has lost plenty of matches at ally pally. It's the tournament he wants to win most of all so the pressure seems to get to him in this more than any other tournament. He misses lots of doubles when the pressure really on. I would lay Price aswel at 5-1 considering he has never done well in this tournament and plenty capable of beating him like aspinall did last year

First of all, I do not approve of Jelle's actions in 2012. The crime was that he sent pictures to an underaged girl. That is wrong! Let me get that straigt. But as someone with an Autism Spectrum Disorder myself I hate that everyone says that the girl is disabled, her mother said in an interview that she has a PDDNOS diagnosis which means she has autism. This does not mean that she is retarded, the judge has said that both Jelle and the girl were wrong in this but that Jelle paid because he was an adult at the time. Having PDDNOS does not mean you can't be held accountable for your actions. Jelle has stated that she started the contact, he was wrong to react to that and paid the price. And fairly so might I add. Just don't call this girl disabled. She's not, people with autism struggle with this prejudice everywhere and everyday. Autism is not a disability, it is just different than being "normal".

I played in the same team with BOTH players in the youth. Both guys are good kids, Jelle made a mistake and i understand Mike completely, BUT i think its time to let the past be the past. Sometimes Mike is really black/white in his opinions. Which is ok, but sometimes i think you should think something can also be grey, let's say. When they played together as a couple they where unbeatable. I hope those times will come back.

@@jakesullivan8339 he was sentenced actually. He had to do 16 hours of community service and a 400 euro fine. Judge said they wouldn't sentence him to jail time because he missed alot of money and got a bad reputation from the story which was a punishment aswell.
