SST transmission cannot hold anything more than stock power it's a ticking time bomb if your on it and have mods that increase power be careful......also servicing the transmission and drivetrain is a major issue do it ASAP those transmissions (sst) need to be serviced every 30k and yours is at 90ish they will slip when you least expect it
Bad choice. You should have just save and then buy an Evo. Trust me I've been there. Used to own a Ralliart and spend money on it. Sold it and bought an Evo. I should have just save and wait in the first place.
Ive got a modded RA Sportback that is far quicker than an evo...but on serious weekends i take out my R35....save up...get rid of your evo and get an R35
SST can handle quite a bit of HP it's the torque that kills it and stock it's limit is about 350 lb-ft. I'd be happy to help teach you some things. Just let me know.
My evo x mr pushes 550 at the wheels on stock sst clutches. You’re right, as long as you limit the torque to around 350 you’re in solid shape. It may not last forever, but it can take a lot more than most folks talk about.
My main reason was I couldn't afford it. Second reason no trunk space so wife will bitch a lot not being able to carry the full size stroller for our kids. Now I would love to own a EVOX MR. If I need trunk space I will just drive the minivan.
Currently fiance, I believe. She did a good job filming BTW, Brandon. Just needs some more experience with the Gimbal. It did help while filming for sure though. You gotta get her to drive at rally cross or something to get her excited about speed!
do you know how to switch your sport setting from sport mode to super sport mode? push and hold down the button below and to the right of the sport button that displays the drivetrain with turned wheels and push forward and hold forward the sportswitch and it'll come up on the dash as s sport ;) gearbox become super rapid ;)
Why ralliart? Sportback and real all wheel drive with two LSDs instead of SAWC computer nonsense, that's why. And cheap insurance, $75/mo full coverage here....

@@simond7582 4b11t is an entirely different engine in the ralliart than the older 4g63.it is the same world block head valve train and intake manifold shared between the two. It is just different exhaust manifolds, turbo, air box, intercooler, piping, oil cooler, and bov. Injectors and everything else is same. I have a Ralliart with full Evo x conversion, and sst reflash for s sport mode. I spent hours on end researching part #s before doing it, amazing how much is actually the same.
@@deweysturgill6220 yep I know. I was making the point that Mitsubishi did the same thing with the 4G63. The engine is the same as the EVO just detuned using the lower spec. I should have been clearer about that. :)
Wrong the basic engine is the same
The Ralliart has a bigger boot also a much small turning circle and a more comfortable ride, I brought one new in 2009 still have it, a better family car.
Lancer cars are awesome . However that particular model (EVO X Style) was more Nissan influenced than Mitsubishi, So i commonly refer to them as Nissan with a Mitsubishi Badge. They also have Nissan (Jato) Transmissions. The older lancers like the EVO 9 or 8 Shape/Style is much better with a better Build Quality.
Curious, do you double-clutch when you're just driving around normally? I don't bother because i'm so bad I usually slip anyway.
I double clutch pretty regularly if I am down shifting at significant speed or if I'm down shifting to accelerate. Pretty much second nature for me.
@@RedPandaMining NOT in a drag race, hahaha. It's only for down shifting. XD
love the interaction between the man and his woman xD hilarious and god bless the "mexican highway" that comes always conveniently handy
please tell me you have modded this now! mines pushing 18psi with only bolt on mods. good to see more ralliart pepz.
What is the round thing on the dash above the radio, mine has the exact same thing and I just thought the previous ownerput a phone mount or something in it
I have 2008 Gts fully loaded with 6 speed transmission
only thing I dint buy that Ralliart was cus of that transmission.
Nice car bro I own a 2010 Lancer GTS
Smart buy I bought a Evo 8 cause I couldn't afford and Evo 9
The evo x (gsr) (manual) here in the Nederlands cost 2cnd hand €20.000,-
Hey bro! I am curious what would be a good price for a '08 to 10 ralliart? I see alot of evo x's in good shape and low miles for between 17 and 19 grand. After your video, I would honestly consider buying a ralliart and tune it up a bit. Just looking for some advise. Thanks man!
Yep..! She did great!
Just be a little easy with her. She, like my wife is still adjusting to awesomeness and power of a Lancer Turbo..🤣 good video by the way!
I like the looks of my Evo much better and there are many things different from Evo to ralliart you touched on some things witch it a huge difference and the wide body rear you just can't get that good looking with out a huge price.... Why even make a video on this :s
Cool car but whatever happened to the Accord?
My Mans Is wearing croc’s and I love it 😎
Isn't the Evo hood aluminium and Ralliart steel?
Thoughts on a gts or gt if I can't afford the ralliart?
I owned one for 3 years, had a white Sportback, I called it my MINI EVO X
yep...evo X light or diet lol
Why not get a 2004-2008 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart V6?
Is the transfer case the same RA/Evo ?
Just save for when the SST starts giving problems, big repair bill
Just the coment i seen on evey ralliart post,
This guy really took 18min and 20sec just to explain that the only reason why he got the rally art is cuz he couldn't afford an Evo.. LoL! .. no special secret hidden power to unlock.. it's just more affordable.. LoL! It's cool bro, I'm broke too.. hehe!
SST transmission cannot hold anything more than stock power it's a ticking time bomb if your on it and have mods that increase power be careful......also servicing the transmission and drivetrain is a major issue do it ASAP those transmissions (sst) need to be serviced every 30k and yours is at 90ish they will slip when you least expect it
Also there is no dip stick on the sst transmission so it is possible it's really dirty af ....
The trans can hold 350 hp 350 trq stock...
Stock look is the best so handsome car ever
Manual swap it evo front end / front wings and evo brake swap then aftermarket manifold and turbo
Would be easier to just trade it for an evo x at that point.
Evo has floating piston and upgraded rods
BAHAHAHA......Fool...not a bad try at bullshit though!
Should've gotten the evo.
Wrong both headlights and taillights are interchangeable between ralliarts , lancers and evos
SST can handle quite a bit of HP it's the torque that kills it and stock it's limit is about 350 lb-ft. I'd be happy to help teach you some things. Just let me know.
You also want to get S-Sport flashed asap. Sport mode doesn't do too much. There's basemap tunes out there that make it much smoother to drive
My evo x mr pushes 550 at the wheels on stock sst clutches.
You’re right, as long as you limit the torque to around 350 you’re in solid shape. It may not last forever, but it can take a lot more than most folks talk about.
Tim E what’s done to it? I’m around 400 on stock clutches
@@krazykc6674 looking to get the taxtrix cabel asap
My main reason was I couldn't afford it. Second reason no trunk space so wife will bitch a lot not being able to carry the full size stroller for our kids.
Now I would love to own a EVOX MR. If I need trunk space I will just drive the minivan.
This video left me with questions I didnt even had before it, like Im now confused, is she your gf, fiance, wife or your woman?
Currently fiance, I believe.
She did a good job filming BTW, Brandon. Just needs some more experience with the Gimbal. It did help while filming for sure though.
You gotta get her to drive at rally cross or something to get her excited about speed!
It could be his girl though.
imo the saved money with the same engine and transmission makes the ralliart far more ideal.
that chrome trim in the grill pisses me off. why the mitsubishi do that :(
Does he still have the Ralliart?
she’s too close…but nice save “she’s probably doing better than me” 😂
Reason I never got a evo and sold my gsx is because “turbo car” tax on any parts you ever need!
Both are great
My movie squad
Squaaad.
Our movie
lol your movie
The people's movie.
do you know how to switch your sport setting from sport mode to super sport mode? push and hold down the button below and to the right of the sport button that displays the drivetrain with turned wheels and push forward and hold forward the sportswitch and it'll come up on the dash as s sport ;) gearbox become super rapid ;)
I own an evo x and I would love to have one of those for a daily. just a test pipe and slightly higher boost :D would be perfect
Bro. I want to get a Ralliart too man. I'm selling my Lancer GT so I can get one.
Why ralliart? Sportback and real all wheel drive with two LSDs instead of SAWC computer nonsense, that's why.
And cheap insurance, $75/mo full coverage here....
plus you made a huge mistake, the Evo Te n shape is the worst of all the mitubishi shapes. The Evo 9 is King. Apart from the rallyart badge, only u, and someone you tell will know theres a difference between a 40k car like tis, and a 23k one. Like that
I personally would of gotten an Evo x, no point in buying a ralliart, it's a downgrade.
Is it front wheel or awd?
Awd
Exactly the same as an Lancer evo
