Technically, the natives are 'indigenous' people. Which are people 'from this land'. "People who occur naturally in a particular place." --- You are a NATIVE if you were born in that place. For example I'm a native Floridian. I was born in Florida. So I'm a native American citizen, and a native Floridian. David Pakman is a naturalized American citizen.

As I have traveled the globe, 100% of the time, when someone asks where I am from, and I tell them 'I'm from the United States' their next response is 'Ah yes, I thought you sounded American." I've had literal discussions, online and in person, regarding my language, AMERICAN ENGLISH. Canadians, nor the rest of the world, refer to Canadians as 'Americans'.
