@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures Hello Tom, Just wanted to let you know everything turned out perfect. Your video really helped! I used a hand stapler but can see how a power one would work better - especially if you're going to be doing a lot of stapling! I think a regular bread knife would have worked OK too, in retrospect. Once again - thank you! Best, Bazza
@@Bazzaland thank you for the follow up, I really like to hear that my videos are helpful....that’s one of the main reasons I started doing UA-cam. Ride safely!
Good one Tom. I remember doing this on my boys moped. It was a hazzle for sure. You did waaaay better than i did back then :) But then again you are a tinkering pro....
Well, you could cut out some more foam and then glue on memory foam or a gel pad, whatever you like….but this was only to reduce the height of the bike.
Thank you, Tom...nicely done, sir. I will be doing this procedure over the weekend. Stay safe, brother! ~Baz
I wish you good luck, it’s not too difficult. I recently got an air stapler....way nicer! Thanks for watching.

@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures Back at ya, my friend!
thanks for the heatgun tip... :)
Seat covers can be a pain, anything that helps is great!
Been looking at my DR350 seat..I hate the square edges...was thinking of rounding them out. Good to know how easy it'll be with basic tools.
Yeah, it’s not too bad. Hope it works out well for you!
Thanks my good friend!
TNTBROMO Andrews I’m hoping to motivate!
you're pretty handy brother!! wish i was!! great vid!!
Thanks, I just like to try to fix pretty much anything but motorcycles are my main passion.
You will become handy , if you keep trying

Hello Lemon Grove …..
Hello to you.
What was the grit of the sanding disk you used?
burn t I really don’t remember. 150 maybe?
What adhesive do you use?
Mik902 if I am gluing foam together, 3M spray adhesive.
Tom's Tinkering and Adventures
Thanks. How about foam to the vinyl seat cover? Same 3M Super 77 all-purpose spray?
Mik902 I usually don’t glue the cover to the foam but that’s what I would use.
i call it seat skin instead of seat cover
vincent yap I can’t say that I have ever heard that before.
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures same as our meat, the skin cover the forms, as our skin cover our meat
vincent yap I like it!
🙋🏽♂️ I want to lower my seat on my Harley. 😏
Robert Roy well, I’m working on a seat for a bike that doesn’t work so may as well make it two!
Tom's Tinkering and Adventures yeah you never want to have your accomplishments end with an odd number...😏 #navyevals
