  • This Food and Drink TechHUB webinar, in partnership with Highland Good Food Partnership and Zero Waste Scotland, gave an overview of the Circular Economy and support available to help food and drink and agriculture businesses to reduce waste and add value to waste materials.
    Hear about how a circular economy model can improve efficiencies, advance product design and strengthen your brand - with the aim of designing out waste. We discuss 9 key strategies (with case studies) that will help businesses to maximise resource use and give some practical advice for businesses to help you protect your bottom line and kick food waste out of the kitchen for good.
    The session also included case studies from two business that have used circular economy principles to create new products and business opportunities from waste created on farms and in their businesses. This included Ogilvy Spirits who have converted potato waste into vodka and Macleans Highland Bakery who have created biscuits from brewery waste.
