In Austria they have a kind of brioche who is shaped a bit like a croissant and it's call kipfel, this brioche became popular in France with the arrivals of baker and chef from Austria. Then in the early XX a french baker create the croissant that we know with the same shape. The Ottoman story is another one and it's not about that. Anyway is not about being butthurt, it's about the stupidity, if it's call croissant it's because of the hape, if you don't respect that then the recipe is pointless. It's like doing a fish'n'chips without fish but still calling it fish'n'chips, it would be stupid, because if fish is the name, it means you have to put it in. If a croissant is name croissant it's because of the crescent shape, if you don't do the crescent shape, then don't call that a croissant.

Greatest city in the world. Was privileged enough to be born, raised, and still reside comfortably here. Hells Kitchen, Manhattan, specifically. I say that with all the confidence in the world considering my travels. I've been all over our country and 3 other continents. Europe, South America, and Asia. Everywhere I've visited is unique and beautiful in its own way, but I can't describe the feeling of happiness/pride when that plane is descending and touches down at JFK. If I had to choose any other city over NYC to live in, it would absolutely be Amsterdam. I've been there three times and its just absolutely beautiful with some of the kindest people in the world. And yes, I've had this sandwich. Its ridiculously good but the price is a bit steep. The bakery is 10 min from me in NoHo (North of Houston).

I mean that considering all of the trends that are started by NYC and then adapted everywhere. Yep, croissant sandwiches are the best!! Its pretty much the only way i eat sandwiches, also.ham and chesse maybe some tomato/lettuce but its a really great combo, sweet and salty
If you have the opportunity to try this again, drizzle some honey / maple syrup and a pinch of salt and black pepper. The end result was so delicious, I constantly had dreams about it for a week.!
