Nah, Plesioth was bearable in Gen but not this Jay Leno monstrosity. But I see your point. I love him from a biology standpoint but fighting him is a hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Thanks for the comment Voltix, but I think I would be scared to go outside if this guy was lurking IRL. Especially since he likes to do those surprise steamroller attacks! :)
I once met a tough Uragaan. Dude's fighting toes to toes in a three way against Jho and Bazel. And it's the last one to leave the area. Too bad I forgot to ask it's name.
Khezu A.K.A. The White Chicken, Gammoth A.K.A. Dumbo. Kirin A.K.A. My Little Pony. Deviljho A.K.A. Pickle Face. A new nick name is born; Uragaan (The Crimson Chin)
Yeah, I learned that in one of the illustration books, it's never mentioned in game. Thanks Shiny Gamer. (I'll do my best to cover every monster, palolumo and mudskipper are on the list for sure) :)
Thanks for the video and other lore videos! Could you do lore on the different weapon types, and perhaps the types of hunters or hunter clans that prefer using them? I believe there’s a lot of material to pull from there.
Thanks for commenting Siji, I've been working on trying to get a video made for weapon types and also the Hunters Guild, hopefully those will be done soon. :)
Love the videos Strawfoot, I have all of your monster lore videos saved to a playlist I listen to whenever I'am grinding for material or out on expeditions, it's really cool to learn so much about the monster and ecosystems they inhabit, it really fleshes out and makes the world feel real. This hunter salutes you, happy hunting my friend!
Strawfoot So since Uragann produces it’s organic tar from just its belly since the rest of its body is so tough, is the reason Radobaan produces it all over its body is because it’s body is softer? Radobaan is more flexible than Uragann in the way it rolls around so it makes sense
I'm surprised that there are no Carapaceon species in the Rotten Vale. It seems in general insectoids and crustaceans have very little influence on the ecology of the New World
If there is honey, there are bees. So it's a testament to the fortitude of MH's bees that they can have working hives almost anywhere - even in the subzero Hoarfrost Reach.
Strawfoot Absolutely love your videos I started my freshman year of college today and watching this video right before heading to my first class and it really helped calm my nerves
Weird I was learning about this monster about a week ago to find out their weakness in MHGen. It seem elemental water weapons have a better chance with this monster than a weapon that just has great raw damage due to it's high defense.
Yeah he's super weak to water, especially in older games. Poison is another weakness, although like water it's not as effective in world as it was in past games.
It's like a Goron crossed with a monster truck tire. As always, great video. With MonHun Gen U coming out in just over a week, can we expect to see more Old World monster? Also, if you ever did make a real life Monster Compendium, I would very much buy it. I don't know what licensing would be required for that, but I would definitely back a Kickstarter to get it done.
Yeah, I'd love to do something like that, I actually work in graphic design for print so I wouldn't even have to hire someone to lay it all out. Also yes, lots of old monster lore incoming, I'm so psyched about GenU!
ohh rad, if she doesn't mind I'd love to see a link to her portfolio, I love geeking out over graphic design work. also I might be able to recommend people to her if she freelances at all.
Strawfoot She's actually still in college right now. She's getting a second degree to supplement her existing one for web design. But I'd be happy to let her know. She'll be working on her study portfolio for an upcoming class so I can let you know when she gets everything online.
Question: I know you're an expert in New World Ecology, but do you ever have plans to discuss the Deviant Monsters found in the Old World? I feel lots is left unexplained about them.
Does anyone else notice that UA-cam often deletes the like button. It does for me on nearly every video I watch I click like them come back later and it's not there.
@@Strawfoot i don't know man, i don't usually recognize my dog scratching its ears as a piece of lore, or him eating his favourite bone, going out for a walk, etc..etc..When we talk about the monsters of MH, we're basically talking about animals (except for Black dragons), with a place in an ecosystem, with clear habits and patterns. No myths or inner, deep, secret stories. This ain't Dark Souls boys, don't abuse words.
Strawfoot's one of the only youtubers who can make me actually care to watch a video on my least favorite monster.
At least he's not Plesioth? :P
Nah, Plesioth was bearable in Gen but not this Jay Leno monstrosity. But I see your point. I love him from a biology standpoint but fighting him is a hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
@@sachi7614 I would rather take uragaan than a Plesioth.
Jay Leno's got some rich lore!
Thanks DarkHero, as always I'm honored whenever you show up in my comments, I check your channel for new videos every day :)
Awww
Nice to see crimson chin getting some love tbh
Amazing video as usual
One of my favorite looking monsters, if only it was possible for animals like this to exist in real life
Thanks for the comment Voltix, but I think I would be scared to go outside if this guy was lurking IRL. Especially since he likes to do those surprise steamroller attacks! :)
I knew Peter Griffin would be in Monster Hunter World one day!
Lenosaurus Rex!
Make his skin purple and you have thanos
Haha good one 🤣🤣
Uragaanos
@@oposaurus4693 he will use the infinity chin

Also Urugaan armor literally got me through the last half of the monster Hunter story. It's so shiny I love it
These lore videos are the best! I had no Idea that crimson chin ate plants as a juvenile! Can paolumu or jyuratodus come next?

Strawfoot Fantastic! Looking forward to watching them!
@Strawfoot your videos are like ASMR for me, they really help my relax
Thanks friend, glad you liked it! I get this comment a lot, maybe I should just start an ASMR channel :)

I am back from holiday and great work on the video
Welcome back Mr Magic!
Thanks for another great video strawfoot my man
Another good video. Congratulations Strawfoot.....and Good new intro

Stop lying mah dude.
Calm down a little.
Bees have great influence on an ecology so by that logic. Stop lying.
If there is honey, there are bees. So it's a testament to the fortitude of MH's bees that they can have working hives almost anywhere - even in the subzero Hoarfrost Reach.
Ah. My old enemy.
Strawfoot back at it again 🙌👏🏼👏🏼
I like it a lot, it looks like a tank and its fight is a welcome change of pace
Your lore videos are the best no lie
Hey Ryan! Thanks again for commenting, this is very kind of you. :)
Can you do an episode on Lagiacrus? My personal favorite monster, though I'll admit, Valstrax is growing on me.
When your going to a gaming convention but you have to do your job as journalist
haha thanks Panda, you're the best.
*"As Always this has been an awesome Lore"*
I love your lore videos :D
Is it really a deviant if it's something all males do during mating?
Seems like it should be called a limited edition more than a deviant
When are you covering the fluff bat?
Amazing video
Thanks again for commenting Jack, I always appreciate it.
This monsters chin level is over 9000
He's Lenosaurus-rex!
Strawfoot

@@Strawfoot No! It's THANOSAURUS REX.

Yes, but he is weaker to blast! Use blast weapons against him
Can you do a lore video on Legiana
Yeah, I think this is one of my most requested monsters, I'll be sure to cover him soon. Thanks for the comment Ariel!
It’s like Popeye... but in monster form
inoright! thanks for the comment Tranquility!
Haha

Dispite alot of people disliking this wyvern I actually like him, it's his ecology and the fight was ok.
Great video btw
This thing Rivals the mighty Crimson Chin!
Question: I know you're an expert in New World Ecology, but do you ever have plans to discuss the Deviant Monsters found in the Old World? I feel lots is left unexplained about them.
Are you going to do videos on the monsters in double cross?
Man I hope they bring back Tigrex to MonHun World.
What sword and armour are you using? Or is this modded?
You should do lore videos on iceborne creatures
You can count on it! And season 2 of our monster hunter podcast is also coming up soon!. Thanks for commenting Sdot fusion!
How you get this look for ur char and the sword ?
It;s the dante set, except for the eye patch thing which is from one of the other events.
Strawfoot ok thanks
I think probably next would be legiana lore
I was hoping you would reference to the phantom urgaan
Uragaan is Thanosaurus Rex
What weapon is that on his back?
Here's a tip for beating uragan
SPIN TO WIN
Ohhh what sword is that?
Wait...there's something written at the bottom of the documentary. "Most Annoying Thing in BOTH the Old and the New Worlds."
Nice now do dodogama
I didn't know Benito Mussolini was in Monster Hunter..
Rathalos or legiana next
Or Arch Tempered series
Does anyone else notice that UA-cam often deletes the like button. It does for me on nearly every video I watch I click like them come back later and it's not there.
Ah don't forget to do behemoth lol
Who else think uragan is similar to thanos?
My sis and I called it Thanos
The Great Chinagin
dop i get a reward if take out an ecosystems worth of these
Praise the chin amd hate the nugget
uragaan = crimson chin
I honestly hate this thing to me it’s a poor example of a brute wyvern
Shouldn't be called Ecology instead of Lore?
No. It should be called lore.

There is no such thing as a male uragaan. Radobaan is a male and it mates with uragaan

Not really fan of these two :P
Both have ran over me when I have been exploring without warning... -_-'
Would love to see a gender diversity in MHW! I mean the only ones I know of are the power couples the Stras and the Raths.
