Being there is incredible. We drove from Sydney to Uluru. What an incredible journey! Just being there and the pictures do not do it justice. It has a definitely majestic quality and really is something to behold. Australia is so beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

We are quite proud of our country so it's nice to hear visitors enjoy their trips here. We have a history that goes back 10's of thousands of years and though some of that history wasn't good, we try to make it an enjoyable place to live.

There are natural wonders that look grandeur and perhaps mightier and even more spectacular but there is no view on Earth that looks as unique as that does for some reason. That view from Uluru to the Olgas across the valley 25 miles in the distance is unlike any other view on Earth. But Australia's landscape looks totally different than any other country on Earth as well.

I can't help but wonder at the large striation marks on the surface of the Ayers Rock. It could not be wind erosion since the lines are parallel. Also it is not rain erosion since the water would had to be a at least 350 meters (~ 1,000 feet high). What causes parallel groves on soft rocks is from a flowing glacier carrying boulders and scratching the surface.Evidence that this area was covered by large ice sheets and glaciers in the "recent past".

Finally someone who shows Ayers rock in such exquisite & incredible detail of its formation on top of the rock. Compared to how it’s always been shown in other videos on the side or far away in the distance on land or by plane. Well done!!!!!
It will be great if they can even get up closer by drone on the same path that was walked by many before on the old track right to the very end of the rock. Goodness gracious by drone it is by far a way better experience seeing this rock in detail then climbing it! Climbing it was a nightmare! It was so strenuous and tedious & hard on the body. Wow 😯 this is by far more interesting & beautiful experience watching it from above by a drone then to ever walk it! Thank God for technology, education and modern civilisation that invented the drone!

    Hi Alex,
My name is Makara Vorn, a post-graduate student at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia. I am currently working on cultural sensitivties (VR project) at Uluru as part of my school assessment. To achieve this, I have to produce an electronic proof of concept, which requires me to produce a short trial. I have never been there yet, so I do not have any videos. Therefore, I really need some footages to work on the trial, would you mind if I ask for your permission to use this video and give your credit? Please let me know, your response is so important for me to proceed with this proposal. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey I know this was 6 months ago but by for someone who is doing 'cultural sensitivities' it might interest you to know that the local Anangu people who own Uluru and the surrounding land would not like that certain features of this rock were recorded and shared around. Not to mention that flying drones in the national park is also illegal.

You can’t fly a drone over Uluṟu now. I read this recently
      * As of October 2019, all drones are banned within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This is due to the sacred nature of the area, as well as concerns around the safety and privacy of visitors and traditional owners.

It gets a lot of the summer lightning storms in Uluru - Kata Tjuṯa and it is very fun to watch when it rains from November to March. Please be careful not to swim or hike during a thunderstorm because when the lightning strikes 🪧 and it can be very dangerous. I lived in Australia. I have visited Uluru. Your assertions are not correct. Here are the reasons why: 1. The native Aboriginal people have clearly asked visitors not to climb their sacred rock. If you had been there you would have seen the huge sign at the main parking lot asking people not to climb, with explanations for the request. 2. Photography in many areas of the rock are prohibited by the native Aboriginal People. Again, had you walked around the rock you would have seen multiple signs asking photographers to respect the local customs (religious) and not photograph certain features of the rock. 3. Beginning October 2019 climbing of Uluru will be categorically banned, under penalty of law. You can verify all three of my assertions above through a quick internet search.Would you choose to fly your photo drone above a mosque, synagogue or cathedral if the local clergy asked you not to do so? Probably not. So why do you disregard the requests of the Aboriginal Elders who have clearly asked visitors to respect their ancient and holy site? Please don't seek to excuse your commercially-motivated activities by claiming ignorance.

+Eldo Rado well if you lived in Australia 🇦🇺 you also should be know that the climb to Uluru is closed from time to time not always, where temperature, wind or other weather conditions dictate and is always closed during the hot summer months Dec, Jan, Feb after 8am. The climb may also be closed for cultural reasons. But from time to time climb was open for visitors. Regarding climbing ban to Uluru on 2019 this is their choice.

Seemed to be filmed by a 5 year old. Amateurish filming but beautiful scenery nonetheless

This was not an approved Drone shoot, you are way above the legal 400ft you are filming sacered areas that are culturally not allowed to be filmed.
You could face prosecution by CASSA and Parks, I would strongly suggest removing this Video. ua-cam.com/video/xUADPqYbnvI/v-deo.html this link shows a Drone video I filmed with full permission from Land owners and National parks. many areas are off limits and very sensitive.
