    My goal body is that of a true alpha male. Big glutes with drooping love handles, with 40% bodyfat, no teeth and not bald. I will have such a presence when I walk into a room and women will call me The Monster.

    A mixture of Steve Reeves and Reg Park is what I am aiming for...as I don't have as narrow of hip bones as Reeves. My core is a little more blocky-esque like Reg. But I have longer legs and broad shoulders with long arms. Been focusing a lot on building up my lats and back in general following your advice NH (with the gentlemen split)

      My goal body is not an anime character, despite of the fact that there are alot of inspiration in anime(mainly baki for me).
      But the physique that i wanna have is the same as the mma fighter yoel romero, but more legs and a bit more arms. I think it is realistic but still pretty elite.

      @Ardashir well, if you actuay look at his physisque, he has amazikg traps, abs, shoulders and maybe the chest. All the beach muscles. His lower body is good, but peopla can have much better legs with hard training. His back is not that impressive if you ignore the traps. The arms are decent.
      I think in most groups can surpasse him. Ofcourse i dont have his inserts, but i can have my own version of that.
      Looking like an aesthetic god and having athleticism out of this world.

    I completely agree with the idea of being proactive with deciding on your goal body in order to avoid others pouncing on the opportunity to plant their idea of a dream body in your head. I like the focus you place on individualism, and how you exemplify that through showing your own goal physique being guts from berserk. You've prompted me to have a long and hard think about exactly how I would like to look in the future, which is extremely helpful as I've been lifting for under a month and I like to have things streamlined at an early point so I don't drift off into unnecessary territory. Thanks NH, much appreciated video.

    I started lifting to get better at martial arts, so for the first little while I didn't really care too much about how I looked, I just wanted to be strong. After I quit I wanted to still look like a fighter, so I was very lean, but of course not very big in sheer size. When I went all in on lifting I realized I wanted to be someone who was much stronger and more physically competent, and that being a small fighter would only enable me to fight and defend myself against smaller guys, but someone who weighs 100kg in a bad mood could easily put me on my ass if he wanted to. As long and as unachievable as it will be, I'd like to hopefully resemble something like a Greek statue to achieve that goal. The final result would hopefully be something like Lacoon, where there's clearly some size, but it isn't a mass monster, and still looks somewhat like an athlete to a reasonable degree. I was personally never into looking absolutely huge or terrifying, or something that is clearly a result of training specifically for aesthetics like Frank Zane. I always wanted a look that looks capable and athletic, a body formed by plenty of activity, and cultivation of natural strength, which I get the impression of when I look at those statues.

    Defining goals is fundamental to any good habit. If you're aspiring for a greater physique, then defining that 'greater' form is key. Like how if you wanted to lift heavier weights, you'd define how much you want to lift.

      Not as important as the size and health, but curling and raising (also extending) the 10s kg, even 20 kilos, would be great and I've always had it as a goal

    Thanks to you NH, i do now know what my dream physique is ! ;)) , It's Boros from One punch man , my all time favorite anime villain, so yeah I certainly can stick to it without any problem at all haha.
    His strongest point in his meteoric burst form: *BOULDER SHOULDERS* , i really WANT that ! 🤣 and everything about his physique, it's damn cool for me, i'm not gonna tell further into details cuz it would take a while to write it all. And I got some pictures of it, now it is time to think, and taking action! ;))

    Yujiro Hanma, The Ogre from Grappler Baki is the perfect example of the curse of perfection. The man has no rivals, he can have anything he ever wants, is the perfect physical specimen and his mindset his most dangerous weapon of all tells him he is perfect so there is nothing he can’t achieve so he believes it.
    As a result he is depressed and has grown numb to life outside of conflict nothing stimulates him. His only equal is himself so what is left for you when you are the Apex?
    It’s so easy to see a character lash out because of boredom and cause a war just because it’s within their power to do so but shockingly Yujiro is a philosopher and understands that peace is the greatest conflict of all and the only reason he doesn’t is because he is competing with himself not to do it because it’s easy and in his mind he would only win it the outcome is absolute.
    Yujiro is an interesting character study who’s influence is so far reaching that when I think of perfection and the unachievable even though he’s an animated character my mind immediately thinks Yujiro Hanma.
    Which is quite well done in a sense that it makes Baki Hanma more endearing because of the idea that anyone can dedicate themself toward a goal and work for it days after day and experience the joy of progress.

    Convinced yet again. After years of years with no clear goal apart from getting stronger and better each day and escaping reality i‘ll treat myself now with a actual visual goal.
    Now that i briefly thought about it i already see my body in a different light. Before i was just seeing some kind of progress but not where the train was going. Suddenly i see some details and crucial characteristics of it finally realizing some kind of individuality and unique traits it has. Really starting to appreciate what i did for all these years of consistency and passion. I don‘t wanna say hard work because the gym rewarded me with much mure than i‘ve ever invested in it in that sense.
    Ty yet again frenchman, will definitely figure out where i actually wanna be heading in this beautiful journey.

    My goal for Zeke for so long has been kind of the look of Oliver queen from the first episode of Arrow. He walks around pretty lean, muscular and athletic looking. Not too big, but just like an athlete. I always look at those shots just to get that extra push.

    I agree having an achievable goal body/physique. That is why, contrary to the common belief, I think well-designed "natty or not"s are useful. After consuming several of them for the past 3-4 years, I got really excited. Because now I know what is realistically possible as a natural bodybuilder and I don't feel disheartened. I don't care "looking as big as Arnold" or a prob bodybuilder any more because, that it is not possible with drugs.
    The realistic but also healthy "goal body" is much closer than I thought. Yet, it is possible to look naturally amazing without destroying your organs with PEDs!

    I had young 13 year old manga Baki as my goal, I worked my ass off slowly leaning out and putting size on in the right places and by around February of this year I reached my goal and like you said I wanted more once I got there. Now I'm shooting for Baki's physique in this random image I found where his upper leg is the size of his waist and his chest has tripled in size, I know this will take time but I'm on my way there and I know I will get there eventually as the size is already there after a few months of hard lifting and bulking and even if its not the exact same physique as I naturally have a fairly wide waist I will be happy. Fictional bodies are the best. Rant over.

    This was a great video. Your points on how having something constantly strive for but also not having a delusional, and attainable physique were all very good. I personally want exactly what your goal is- the berserker physique. Huge arms(im a curl bro just like you), ripped core, DENSE shoulders- not large, but dense. And large greek column legs, and of course an insanely developed upper back. And that's because when i look at guts or Zodd, i LOVE that stuff. It' looks insanely appealing to me, when i seeee like david laid or pro bodybuilders with their 3D delts- while it is impressive- i really hate it for myself. My arms outsizing my shoulders is what i want along with thick, thick legs.

    Hey NH! In the topic of programming and exercise selection, could you discuss analyzing bodies/archetypes/fictional characters and writing a program specifically for them? Your thought process on making a program for Alan Thrall was a great video for this topic. But I'd like to know your thought processes when analyzing Superman, Farnese Hercules, Kratos, and other Fictional characters and skewing your programs towards that goal with specific exercise selection? Like how does Box vs V-Taper, emphasis on Arms or Chest translate into a full Program. It'll help us know how to program for our specific body goals. Of course, combining principles from your programming playlists + an understanding of many exercises and what they work can be enough for this but just putting this out here in case it's worth making a video of. Thanks, NH!

    For me its bang i remember reading one punch man when i was younger, and it has always had an impression on me.
    It was different from all the other characters.
    Its still agile, and doesn't seem to heavily build as I don't want to stand out too much.

    Edit: I got a name for this kind of physique now.. got this idea while I was talking about bodybuilding with a friend. The Cerberus physique, because 3 heads.
    My goal is a body with literally disproportionately big traps and shoulders (specially shoulders, my passion), followed by chest and quads. About arms I really enjoy training alot my forearms, they're very important for me, almost equally as important as biceps and triceps. About legs, as I stated, quads are the number one for me, but calves are a close second, and hamstrings and glutes, of course, would be left a little behind, but I have insanely good glute genetics and my ass is gigantic anyways... ballance is still important for me (except for shoulders and traps, those need to be as big as possible always), so I train back and arms as intense as I can, but later on my workout order. I train abs mostly because of core strength and stabillity for the compound movements because I'm never really lean anyways, so thats it, thats my goal shape.

    How far do you think I can get with this equipment?
    I don't have the space for a rack and don't want to pay monthly for a commercial gym. Maybe I'll be able to get a rack 5-6 years from now
    - Pull up bar
    - Gymnastic Rings
    - Elastic Bands
    - Adjustable Dumbbells up to 40Kg each
    - A chain to load bodyweight movement with the dumbbells plates
    My main concern are legs, do you think I could get tree trunk legs with Dbb Bulgarian Split squat, Lunges, Romanian Deadlifts, Single Romanian Deadlifts and so on?

    My goal body would be like Alexander Skarsgard in The Northmen (or Brad Pitt in fight club) if I was a man but Im a woman so I'll just try my best to gain as much muscle possible. Naturally of course. Im actually noticing some arm gains lately and i cant stop flexxing and looking. You look great.

    Yuri Chechi and the crying freeman (RIP Koike) are great and very aesthetic, both in classical past terms and in classical comic ways/times.
    They're definitely all phases of the physique and goals of mine that I want to earn

    For me it’s Ian somerhalder from vampire diaries, now yes, he looks like a DYEL, BUT his leanness is something I appreciate, now it’s not the ultimate goal body, but it motivates me, ultimate goal would be crixus off Spartacus, but that would take a lot but it’s good to have inspirations, BUT i don't want either physique, it's somewhere in the middle but i've painted the picture

      for me its frank zane aesthetic. OFC i know that you cant achieve the exact same measurement especially the mere fact that he had long clavicle. But being the same height and like how his body flows i strive to hit the cloest thing to it. Any tips how to achieve frank zane aesthetics?

    It's tough for me to set a "Goal body" in abstract.
    Truthfully, I'm just basing it off of my current stats and physique, and wanting to improve certain areas more than others.
    For more tangible things like arm measurements, it's "get 17" arms by next year" for example.
    Leanness goals via waist measurement and description of ab definition.
    Other things like Chest or Lats, I just have an idea that I want them bigger.
    I can't quite visualize my Goal physique, because really, I have a unique build and frame. I can only set measurement goals and descriptions of my Goal physique, but I can't quite visualize how that will look like since I'm still so far away.
    All I know is that I've made amazing improvements in the last year or so, and this coming year I'll hopefully make amazing improvements as well.

    My goal is a huge back, huge calves, big upper leg/glutes, big arms, big shoulders, solid core and neck, less trained chest. Kinda like Miyata from Ippo but a bit more exaggerated in the strengths and weaknesses.
    If you ever make an ippo video that would be awesome btw.
    I played soccer as a kid and now I rock climb once or twice a week so I would assume that is part of why I love big backs and big calves.

      @@se5789 Similar, but different in a lot of the details. Even if we have the same muscular strengths and weaknesses his frame is quite different from mine so it looks different. He’s 5’8” compared to 6’0” so his physique is more compact and stocky compared to the look I’m going for. Also his calf to leg size ratio is smaller than what I’m going for which for me changes the look a lot.

    I have a goal body but how does a natural lifter cross boundaries such as bad muscle insertions? My friend has uneven chest and a gap in the center. I have 3-4 fingers between my bicep and elbow. These are not going to hinder strength or the rate of muscle growth and hyperyrphy but it ruins a physique.

    My ideal body isn't one possessed by any particular person, but has been an ideal in my mind that I've had since I was roughly 16 (I'm now 37).
    However, if I had to put a name/face to it, I'd say either Alex Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist or Muten Roshi (at full power/bulked up) from DBZ. IRL it would probably look much like the body Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson had before he lost a significant amount of weight a few years ago.
    Basically, I want and have always wanted a strongman's body. In recent times I've started pursuing this goal more actively and it feels really good finally climbing that hill.

    David (by Michelangelo). One great future and hard to obtain goal would be older Vince Gironda, great smaller arms size that he had too. Not like Vince, Steve etc during their times weren't immensely great of a standard, with the iconic torsoes too.

    I dont think big delts are actually a sign of enhanced athletes. Most beginners and intermediate lifters have decent shoulders but then they stop focusing on it and focus on chest.
    My shoulders are my best body part and I don't need no sauce. I just like to train them.

    urs is my dream body homie. im 185 at 5' 10", 22 years old, about 20% body fat but i think i have good genes for arms, chest, and back. I hope that once i hit 200 or 210 at this body fat ill be able to cut more easily, never had abs in my life and would love to see them at least once
