- I filmed this at the NYC City Winery on April 5 2015. This is an UnsteadyCam Production. Robbie of course was the guitarist for The Doors. The evening was billed as "An Evening of The Doors' Greatest Hits". It was alternatively billed as "Robby Krieger of The Doors Playing 50 Years of Hits" (a misnomer because they only had a few years of hits!) Of course this is a cover of a tune recorded by THE DOORS, and written by all 4 members of The Doors
My friend Rob was from Peru and loved classical Spanish guitar. He never heard much Doors and I played him this record. He passed away in 2023 at 53 years old. He used to come over and and make me play it so I made him a copy on tape he played for years.
One of the real motors of The Doors, Mr. Robbie Krieger.
Seeing this legend playing in front of you..damn!
A fav Doors tune of mine that always seems to be overlooked in favor of L.A. Woman or The End.
From Spain: Congratulations and I send you my memories!
One of the best old school guitar players. You can tell he was very classically trained on the guitar. I hope he gets his name in history. He is a amazing player! Thanks Robbie for all the greats! I love even some of the blues stuff. La women was a hit! People are strange is a all time favorite of mine. When the music's over, turn out the lights. It's not over for this fine gentleman.
Grande Krieger.
He’s playing without his lost friend Jim. I’m sure he’s remembering him while playing this song
Wow!!! Robby still plays so good and beautifull ❤🔥I'm sure he's thinking of Jim while playing this song! 😢❤
Saludos desde Peru para Robby Krieger y John Densmore...RIP Jim and Ray...
A big masterpiece
Great video, UnsteadyFreddie. I saw the Doors in 1968, and I have seen Robby a couple of times in recent years. Such talent!!! Whew.....
Won’t feel tired to hear Robbie play anything.
Loved this song in high school so long ago...so cool to now see and hear the rest of the story ! Thank you Robby 😎
Love ya, dude! You're still an inspiration, and watching you play makes me feel like a a kid watching a master.
A beautiful human being......
The magic continues forever
Just bought and started reading Set The Night On Fire. So far it is great read.!!!
Only 2mins in and I love it Robbie. You were so underestimated as a whole when it come to the band.
so passionate~! ...Love how Robbie gives insight into this original version of Spanish Caravan - with the missing pieces - Wishing you good Sonic Cheer~!
