What do you think about the new Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer?
I have a KTM Super Adventure, which is 7 years old now. This Tiger may be my next MC !
Sweet bike but sounds like you are ready for an upgrade 👍🏼 thanks for watching. More content on this bike coming soon.
I love mine! The seat is the best seat I ever had on a bike. It's big, it's beautiful and man it got power! Suspension It's perfect. What a bike! 😃👍👏
I took it for a ride today. Yea this is a beast of a bike. I’m going to put the Karoo 4 tires on it soon for better off road performance. I should be uploading another video this weekend at some point of my ride today.
Just drove mine off the lot today Jesse. Love this machine!
Congrats! You are going to love it ! I took it off road today. Video coming soon!
I know the delicious feeling of having enough cash (not credit!) to get any bike you want. I've had more than enough for a Tiger 1200 (and accessories) for a couple of years now and I'm savoring the feeling, with no hurry to buy. Ironically, I have my first bike to thank for all the money, because over 2 yrs of saving up for it taught me how to save a lot better than my parents did when I was growing up.
Maybe I'll see you out there one day, Jesse (although I live a little outside your neighborhood, here in NE Florida). We won't have to feel like we have the same bike, though, because as beautiful as the green/white is, black has always been my good luck color.
Thanks for the video! Now I'll go check out your video when you give it a dirt bath!
That is awesome to hear and yes the black is amazing. I actually thought about getting the black one but it was out of state. The green one was local so just decided on that one.
@@jesseonamotorcycle I wonder if Triumph is going to intro new colors for the Tiger from year to year? Probably not, Triumph is conservative in that way.
Congrats my brother. Ive had my tiger 1200 for about a month and i love it, Ive racked up about 1200 miles in a month. Its kinda intimidating at first , but now it feels like part of me. Once again congrats
Yes it’s very intimidating. I’m slowly getting the hang of the bike but it’s really a big bike. Practice makes better. Congrats on your tiger as well. Take care thanks for watching.
I'm curious what was your second bike choice?
Congrats on the new 1200 Tiger!! I am waiting on the 2023 Triumph Street Triple R to arrive in the states!! The Matt Carbon Black is 🔥🔥🔥 never had a Triumph before!!!
Nice that’ll be a good pick up! Triumph isn’t bad so far. I like it a lot. Still breaking it in but the power is really nice. I’ll be doing the first oil change here very soon. Already have almost 600 miles.
Happy new bike Jesse. The Explorer looks awesome !
Thank you buddy I appreciate it. It’s pretty quick as well. It surprised me how fast it is.
Love the bike! Just found your channel and subbed! Been looking at the 1200 Tiger hard!
Thanks for subscribing 🙏🏼 this bike is awesome. You have to test ride one if you can. It has a ton of power. It’s a very capable bike. More content coming soon.
Yo bro I'm over here in the Midwest Cleveland Ohio keep doing your things love your bike I like the rally Pro keep making those videos bro
Mr. Splitter appreciate the support my guy! Thanks for watching and commenting. Can’t go wrong with the Rally Pro. Might even be a better option when it comes to weight and price.
Stonking motorcycle , congratulations, enjoy...
Thank you buddy, thanks for watching 👍🏼
Nice one mate. I have exactly the same bike in the same colours and loving it more every day. Have fun.
Nice 👍🏼 that’s great to hear! This is an awesome bike ! I can’t wait to take it on some trails and see how it performs.
Congratulations on your new motorcycle, but you have to learn to read the maps so you don't get lost because I watched a video for you and it says I don't know what the name of this valley is or where I am on the map.
You are absolutely right! Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. Take care. Ride safe.
It's a beast and will easily smash big miles, super comfy and large fuel tank. How have you been finding it ?
You are absolutely right! It’s been great. I’m still adapting to how tall the bike is but it’s to be expected.
For Prospective Buyers who've heard about the 'catch' in the on-throttle...
- My private mechanic said he couldn't remap the engine himself, but maybe I could work that into a deal at the dealership.
- The Triumph service manager near me (Euro Cycles in Daytona Beach) said he's ridden both the old Tiger 1200 and the new one, has himself noticed that catch in the on-throttle, and he thinks the problem isn't in the engine mapping, it's in either the transmission or the shaft link.
- He says either Triumph will fix it in a couple of years or it can be fixed now by having the engine re-tuned either at your own dealership or doing it yourself by purchasing online a Stage 1 Handheld Flash for $800 to $1,000 from BT Moto (although they don't have one available yet specifically for the new Tiger 1200, keep checking because they have them for Triumph's other big sellers and it shouldn't be long before they have one for the new Tiger also).
Good to know thanks for that information Craig 👍🏼👌🏼
To be completely honest, its certainly different. I sure wasnt expecting you to get a dual sport bike. Was almost certain you would get another Ducati, or even an Indian. But either way, congrats on your new bike, as long as you're happy that's all that matters.
Question, why didnt you go with Indian, or even Harley? They both have their versions of off road bikes. Not gonna lie, I do like the Harley Pan America, heard it handles pretty good 👌
I was surprised my self that I went with the tiger. I guess it comes down to looks and some little things. Also the engine. This thing is fast. Also the warranty. 3 year unlimited miles. So I guess there’s alot. I’m sure I’ll make a video talking about why I went with this bike soon. Thanks for watching.
Thinking of trading my 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE for this.
Scramblers are nice! You can really customize the look of those bikes. I hope to have a scrambler someday. It’s a big size difference from the scrambler to the Tiger. I’m 5’7 and I tip toe the bike. Only down side for me.
@@jesseonamotorcycle the Scrambler is a great bike for what it is. It’s a stripped down ADV bike which is good and bad. Bad when you want to take it on a road trip because no wind protection and few options available. I’m 6’1” and I’m my toes with the scrambler. It’s done the NEBCR from NY to NH no issues. I just made the move and traded it in for the rally Explorer picking up Tuesday. 😁
How do you like it on the highway? Also, any major engine heat feel on legs?
Love it on the highway. The windscreen is amazing. Passing power is awesome. Engine heat will not be a problem with this bike. It hasn’t crossed my mind and I’ve been riding in hot 100 degree weather.
@@jesseonamotorcycle that all sounds awesome! How about vibration while at highway speeds?
Im debating between the Rally Exp or BMW GSA 1250..?
@@BigSkyImagery I haven’t taken it over 80 mph do to the break in process so not sure yet
This bike is fast so with the triple triumphs engine
@@jesseonamotorcycle no vibration up to 80?
What's the vibrations like at speed?
I’m still breaking it in but so far no noticeable vibrations. Very smooth. I’ve only taking up to 5000 RPMs though. But that’s about 75-80MPH in 6th gear.
@@jesseonamotorcycle Sounds pretty promising. It's just that I've heard others (online) complain about the vibes you get on this although not sure if it even matters. I'm looking to upgrade my bike next year to a large adventure bike and this Tiger Rally Explorer is right at the top of the list. I'm curious about the upcoming R1300GS though. And going to test ride a Pan America next week so will see how that goes.
@@shabs2134 I would definitely test ride all of them if you can. I know dealers don’t like people to test ride bikes but if they want to make a deal 🤝 you have the right to test ride the bike. But honestly I haven’t noticed any vibrations that are bothersome. But I haven’t took it high in the rpms yet.
