one thing i believe many Vegans should NOT blame people who are omnivores is the fact we evolved to be omnivores and if it was not for meat and animal foods for MANY cultures people would not be able to survive and thrive. There should be more understanding about other peoples cultures..

    • @justathought973

Exactly, in the arctic where it's dark for months out of the year, no one would have survived if not for meat eating. I have a few Inuit friends, one brought me back a tiny bit of whale blubber. I told him I'll eat it later and put it in my freezer, I never saw it again. lol.
      I'm Canadian, btw.

Thats a misunderstanding, i eat meat but every vegan I talked to are more so concerned about modern meat eating, it’s much better to have your own chicken and cow in your backyard, going hunting for your meat, that’s different than having full factories of animals for slaughter and how we handle meat in America it’s all corrupt truthfully... Vegans do advocate it’s health benefits but it’s not untruthful that going vegan is a lot healthier and the right thing to do for the planet and ourselves in our modern day and age .

Well duhh Lol dont sit there and tell me vegans would live in the olden days and be able to survive. We’ve been hunting down animals for over centuries and vegans believe that if we stop killing our animals then the world would be a much better place. Plants are living things too lol what makes the difference we eat to survive and that’s how it was before we had all this technology now every food we eat is all processed through factories.

These are Bisons, not Buffaloes. Buffalo lives in Asia and Africa. America and Europe are home to American and European Bisons respectively. In Europe, they are biggest and strongest mammals, here in Poland they are highly protected by a law, because of natural diseases reducing their population, and their high significance to Poland as a whole. Both Buffalo and Bison are incredible bovids. Huge and strong, radiating pure might, that just screams "we are the beloved children of Mother Earth!" But they are different and shouldn't be mistaken. 🦬🐮🦬🐮🦬🐮🦬🐮

I spend hours to learn about their customs and culture, even though I feel myself more closely associated with Oriental culture and lore, especially China... And I'm not even from these regions. So what? I'm telling You the TRUTH, man... They are BISONS. It's what their scientific name suggests. Buffaloes are much different animals, though coming from the same family, they evolved separately. What on Earth did indicate any kind of prejudice or discrimination against Native American folks in my comment? Nothing.

Look, I've got American Indian (grandfather) ancestors in my own 'tree of life' (or cladogram if that suits you better.) At some point my Choctaw ancestors were booted off land they had used not just for hunting and gathering like the Plains people, but were farmers and builders of villages/towns. Deprivation of resources was just one way the American Indians have suffered since European settlement and the American westward expansion. Today, for reasons that are complex and probably misunderstood, many Indian tribal nations and many Americans with native ancestry suffer problems like endemic substance abuse, unemployment and high suicide rates. It is absolutely tragic, and I hope these communities have brighter futures.....
BUT, can we please stop this silly romanticism of the American indian? The native tribes were no more or less human than the Europeans who benefited from their decline and inferior level of technology. They did not live mystical lives of harmony with their environments, only taking what they needed from the land in accord with some supposed 'natural balance'
The evidence from archaelogy and particularly studies of the flora/fauna in pre-Colombian America make it clear that the Indians did what human beings have done EVERYWHERE they have settled. They changed the environment, directly and indirectly and usually in a way that was at least temporarily benefical for survival. I'll leave it with the most telling point (at least to me)... it will never be decided conclusively b/c we can only learn so much from what we have today, but its not only probable but to many researchers likely that the Indians were at least partially responsible for the extinction of all the other American megafauna that used to share the North American continent with the buffalo.

Secondly, if they were so wasteful, don't you think it is ironic then that buffalo were not endangered before Columbus?
