Hi...I am thinking of visiting...What is a good budget friendly hotel in a safe neighborhood close to activities... Please...my visit is being planned for March 6th
Nay. Not worth it. Just came here cause my wife is from here. Otherwise I would not recommend it. Better to spend time elsewhere. You can find salsa and take lessons pretty much anywhere in Colombia.
This is the exact Cali video I’ve been looking for. You guys hit so many hidden gems you can’t find anywhere. I’m so glad I found your channel. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos! Also, I love that you guys met at a salsa class and are now married! The people in cali are the most beautiful in the world!
We’re so glad you found it helpful - let us know which thing was your favorite! 🕺💃 You’re totally right, Cali is full of beautiful people, and despite the insecurity, it has a magnetic energy and charm!
Thank u for the beautiful practical about diverse activities to do when visiting Cali! and mainly present, actual info year 2022, almost post pandemic? info! Thank u again
You forgot to mention to visit K18 wich is will take you just a few minutes. They have very nice restaurants where you can go an eat agua de panela con queso and also giant plantains with all kind of things on it. For instance Las neblinas restaurant just to mention one. I loved your video I'm a Caleña and is so cool to see what you guys are doing 💜 very proud of my city. Kudos to you guys! Hope to see you around !
I love your video from our beautiful city!! which I miss a lot, please keep in mind too the traditional Champús and the Lulada!!😋 I can’t wait to see your other videos!!🙃 And thanks for sharing!!!👌🏼👌🏼
Mitch and Day, I am traveling to Colombia and I am really evaluating going to Cali. Love the video and you said if one need it help, to leave a comment, so here I am :)
If you’re interested in salsa, you definitely can’t miss Cali! It’s not the prettiest city in Colombia, but the salsa energy and activities are unmatched 💃🕺
Don't forget that Cali is a Sport city, everyone forgets to tell this, apart from party, this city lives sports, Cyclin is one of the best thing to do around Cali rivers and mountains, Every year we hold big sports events, like just now Copa Libertadores femenina, etc
I did all those things but the market and the tubing adventure and no desire to go to a zoo. I am heading back soon to stay in the reserve in Pance again I really love that place. Are there any botanical gardens in Cali?
I am planning a trip in December to Cali. I am clueless about to plan this. We love dancing and decided to visit Cali. Any auggetions as far as flights and where to stay. Prefer close to nightlife dancing.
So exciting! Miraflores and San Antonio are both neighborhoods popular with travelers and located pretty central. It all depends on exactly what type of nightlife you’re looking for, but both of those are close to La Topa, which is one of my favorites for any night of the week :-)
Great video! Liked your video and subscribed to your channel))) Quick question, can you recommend any salsa instructors or salsa schools in Cali (who charge Colombian prices/don't overcharge)? Thanks in advance)))
Los Angeles local here. Great video. Thank you. m here in Cali at the Espirito. Lets go do one of those fancy steakhouse dinners and salsa show. Im buying and ill pay you for your time. My spanish is limited. I could use some help.
That’s sounds like a fun night out! We’re currently staying outside the city, but we might take you up on that the next time we’re in town! Shoot me a message on instagram 🕺
I commented about the same thing in other video about safety but I think cities such as Baltimore, St Louis or Philadelphia ar quite dangerous than Cali....South and parts of Cali are places to chill out with no issues... Ta-ta for now!
I’ve never spent more than just a couple days in those cities, but I don’t doubt there are dangerous parts. Unfortunately, Cali seems to be getting a bit worse lately
Oh boy there’s lots of good ones! But La Topa never disappoints. We prefer on weekdays though because weekends tend to get so full that it’s hard to dance. But depends what you’re looking for!
I would just be aware of your surroundings when you pull out your phone/camera, and only take it out for a second to record, then put it away. If you’re going to be walking all over the place alone, it’s probably not a good idea to bring your phone/camera with you. It’s always a risk, but if you follow typical South America travel precautions, you can minimize the risk!
@@ProjectUntethered so when they say "mugged", do you mean like they're holding you up with a knife or something or a group of people surrounding you? just out of curiosity. I'm currently traveling in cali.
It’s never happened to me, but it’s usually one or a group of guys that holds you up with a knife or gun. Or just a snatch and run if you’re not paying attention. Or a sneaky hand slipping into a backpack if you’re on a packed public transport. I love Colombia, but it’s not a great place to have nice things… at least not out in public
Hey, so sorry for the slow response - for some reason I didn't get a notification for this comment. This article has 5 different places where the birdwatchers go during the festival (if you don't speak spanish, you might have to throw the article in Google translate): www.elpais.com.co/cali/cinco-sitios-recomendados-para-la-observacion-de-aves-en.html
Thank you for this video! For people arriving in cali, what's the name of a safe and luxury supermarket to buy things for our hotel room like water or snacks? Also, is there a place to buy authentic cuban cigars?
You bet! All supermarkets in touristic areas should be safe, but the one known to be most expensive and “luxury” is called Carulla. And unfortunately I’m not sure about the cigars 🚬
@@ProjectUntethered hey guys I'm coming on Monday. I am a gringo I have lived in Mexico fir 4 years and have a kombucha business. I was looking at expanding the market in Columbia. Health and fun are my two favorite things s and ti me that seems like Cali.
It’s definitely worth looking into! I would join the Cali Entrepreneurs Facebook group and meetups to see if you can find any good connections or advice there!
What do you think about Cali - yay or nay? 💃🏻🕺🏻

Si, la chorrera es muy bonita!
What app you use for cab 🚕 beside tappsi? Need help plz lol 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
We usually use Uber and Didi, but depending on where you are and the time, sometimes it’s a struggle
Looks beautiful 🤩

I’d say the same applies for Medellin as well. Don’t let that deter you from going though. You just needs to take precautions.

I found the beaches of Buenaventura to be extremely dangerous.
Buenaventura the city is known to not be very safe. Did you have a bad experience?
@@ProjectUntethered not really. Just a bad vibe. I felt it was best to go back to Cali ASAP. I loved El Lago Calima and El Faro in Buga.

No people, go to Medellin. Is waaaay better. They have more tourist attractions, they have amazing public transportation. Cali is backwards as hell.
Depends on what you’re looking for I suppose. Medellin is cool too, no doubt. Cali can’t be beat for salsa though.
