Rainy night with rain beading down the side of the windows looking out at the ocean, wondering how far can you push your self past the trenches of life. With god as my witness give me strength to endure the possibilities we thought impossible.
This is autonomic perfection! Subgenre of drum and bass. Why are people talking about "deep ambient pop"? Check out dBridge and Instra:Mental among others.
I get what you mean instra:mental and dBridge have been more closely linked with DnB. However Synkro has released on a lot more variety of different labels. I wouldn't call him drum and bass I would call him more of an Electronica/IDM producer. In my opinion.
+Jacob Foulds He's been working with these artists, on their labels as part of the autonomic scene, and continues to expand and innovate in this area. Obviously he's not pigeonholed to any one thing. But there is an obvious simulacrum to dnb form, and it's intentional here. He does a beautiful job.
+Jacob Foulds I wouldn't exactly call this electronica, stuff like Four Tet would be more appropriate under that genre: four on the floor, synth-laden stuff at 100-130.
Synkros main genres are Future Garage, Dubstep (not the Americanized one), Ambient, and Minimal. Anything else he dabbles in is completely experimental genre mashin on his behalf or the artist he is collaborating with.
sykro is magical
Sykro allows me meditation
that razor sharp, acidic spike on the last beat of every four bar phrase...gorgeous

4 years later. I'm still coming back to this one.

@@andrewhalfer are you Joe McBride?

Pretty awesome !
lovely deep ambient pop!
lsb_TV why would you add "pop" at the end of that?
Fuck off
Synkro = Chilled !
Synkro is an ambient beat orchestration mastermind.
Don't you think it's too much borrowed from "Vangelis - Ask The Mountains"? It's copy-pasted with more reverb + beats :)
shyha
They are nothing alike. There is one chord that's similar. Copy pasted? Lol, not even close.
hahaha :D Listen carefully. Don't your hear? Even all ambient sounds are copied. It's entire excerpt used...only slowed down.
Beautiful! Danijela Tosic
How cool, I can hear a little Vangelis sampling in it from his "Ask the Mountains"
beast

Genres are not mutually exclusive. They should be used as adjectives, not pigeon holes.
