Noticed now afterwards that I used the terms beats and measures interchangeably. To correct my mistake @ 03:57, when I say: "How many measures in a beat" should've instead said "How many beats in a measure". This is what happens when you don't follow a script haha! There will be a in depth video on time signatures in the future. We'll start by going over note placements/patterns in the next part.
Literally the only video series about how to chart well and it ended on part 1, if you know any other good tutorials on making good charts I'd really appreciate it
@@AutisticLulu I'm glad to hear you'll be making more parts, I really wanna get into charting as I've been trying to make FNF songs myself and I have no experience in both music-making and charting. It's just weird that new parts would come 2 months after the original.
@@SauceyRedHN I've been sloppy with uploading things I'll admit that. Next part will be about what not to do when placing notes in different patterns. Currently I'm sick with a bad cough and my voice is destroyed, but i'll start making it when I get better. I'll keep you updated on the progress if you want!
I will say with the syncing on zavodila to cut them a little slack as they did it on an engine that didn't have a way to show it wasn't synced. now putting the wrong bpm, I can't really say why.
Sadly that will never be a thing, even if it becomes a thing the charts will be bad. (There are already other games that has autocharting functions and it's horrible)
@@rapthefox2856 i think ai charting would be beneficial when used together with human creativity. When it comes to 4K games, the meta varies quite a bit. FNF is mostly pitch/animation based meanwhile osu! Mania is mostly about flow and stepmania is more pattern based. So ai wouldn't make perfect charts anyways, maybe it would be able to for Gyitar Hero/Clone Hero but 4K games I doubt.
For gameplay: It's possible but it's currently not available on the official psych engine release or repository. For chartingv You can slow down the playback rate on latest Psych Engine release which will help you make accurate charts
the wrong thing in this chart that i did found: 1. incorrect BPM value, 2. notes being when there shouldn't be (simply, there's too much notes sometimes) 3. wrong stage i didn't find any more bugs in the chart
I just have a little issue with one song because it has 60 of bpm at the start but at the 50 secs grow up in 310 of bpm but the problem is that in that 50 secs the song already is finishing one section and instantly change the section in the chart editor 😿
I have a question, when you start charting for the first times what songs do you reccomend charting? As in Spammy songs, long songs, very hard songs, or easy songs (as in not long songs, not spammy and not hard), and Is recharting sings a good way ti train at charting?
Easy songs but not too easy, something that has some medium fast sections would be optimal. That way you'll need to listen carefully to the easy parts and the slightly harder parts. If you've never charted before, try picking a song you're somewhat familiar with and just clear all notes and try to chart it out again however you want or by charting everything to the same button (to see if you place things on time properly)
You have to build Psych engine feom spurce code and tweak dome files prior. There are countless of guides on how to do it. But there is no benefit to having that high fps anymore with newer versions of psych engine

As an ordinar FNF player I'm amazed by how passionate the community is about FNF. Creating mods and tutorials, even engines!

hint: the bpm is chosen when the producer creates the song, therefore, the producers create the bpm.
This is obvious.
this tutorial is very useful, clarified certain things that I still had many doubts :D
Finally, good tutorial for FNF charting!

Ears should be enough to tell if its synced, they did a horrible job.
i wish for an update of automatic charting where you don't need to chart the songs yourself

@@AutisticLulu ok
lol I hope not, that would be like ai art, and as a charter, it would ruin a lot of the fun and creativity involving the charts

You CAN Import Notes.

Eyo dude thanks for the tutorial!
Ok do dumb question, will there be a part two? If there already is, then i cant find it. If there wont be, then why name it part one...
There was supposed to be a part two, I just never got to it, if I do another one it will be from scratch and redo it into shorter videos.
What what if something like purple power in Shaggy fan made 3.0 and the notes are like stick together in the chart editor
Those charts will only be fully functional inside that particular mod most likely.
Can't provide support for that.
