Thanks Sarah for taking your time to show us these simple stitches. Love the idea of a little fabric booklet to collect our practice stitches. ---++++====--……..what fun❤
Oh Sarah you are just so clever, beautiful fabric book, and great to go through the stitches. Will have to make one too because they are sooooooo good, clever you ❤❤❤❤
Loving this Sarah. Looks simple enough with room to be creative for me. I can't see what stitch you used on the short sides of the lace. Is it also an overcast stitch or a running stitch? Gathering my old fabrics, clothes and blankets as we speak. i heard you discussing needles but I have no idea what threads you are using.
Yes I did the same overcast stitch but in a matching colour. I am discussing the threads that I am using as I go. They are mostly crochet, Perle or plain cotton so far
Love this series Sarah. Thank you. Such a great idea. Sarah, did you get a square embroidery frame at a Fleur Woods retreat? Wondering the size please, I found a rectangle one at Spotlight today, but it measures 43.1 cm x 27.9 cm. Is this too large a frame to start with? Very ambitious of me!! Not quite running stitch ❤
Yes I got one from Fleur which is square. It depends on how big your work is. I only use the snap frame if my piece is really large. I don’t use a frame or hoop very often but sometimes I will.
@ Thank you Sarah. I think I’ll give the one a bought a miss, and hopefully Spotlight will get the small square frames in soon. Much appreciated. Chris
I bought them on AliExpress many years ago. I have several sets so I have lots of letters. I do have a much better and more expensive set that I got on Amazon but they are a bit too big
The big stitch book? That was our first Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery- Volume 1. There is a link to the playlist in some of my videos or you can find the playlist on my sisters channel- Roxy Creations
This is going to come in handy for sure. Just a suggestion please don’t zoom in. You were off camera at the end sewing in the overcast label. By you not zooming in we can zoom in for a closure look if we want or need to.
Feather stitch is the one you were tying to remember Sarah. Great video today. Xxx
Thanks Sarah, finally a Chanel that is for true beginners, like me. Can’t thank you enough
