Floor POD® is no longer in production. Need a powerful POD for the floor? Check out POD HD multi-effect pedals at line6.com/podhd Floor POD featuring Mark Tremalgia.
@Hal0zen The Floor POD will work with any amp. Our amps sport flat response speakers in their cabinets and besides our modeling software, they work just like any other amp.
@theskindiver007 You can go directly into a PA with it but I'd recommend connecting it to a DI box depending on how long your cable run to the PA is. If you want to avoid micing your amp up simply connect one output on the Floor POD to the PA and the other to your amp for stage volume.
@mattguitarist72 The Floor POD has idealized tones that are not as specific as those in the Pocket POD so although you can dial in tones that sound like those artists you mentioned, they are not there out of the box. The wah is a manual wah meaning you have to rock the pedal back and forth while you play.
You can connect the Floor POD to the Line Input of your computer by coming out of the 1/4" output of the POD with a 1/4" to 1/8 cable. At that point you need to configure your recording application to work with your internal sound card on your computer.
The expression pedal on the Floor POD serves dual purposes as a volume and a wah pedal. Under the pedal (not visible to you) there is a little switch. Press the Volume pedal toe down until you feel a slight click. The wah will engage and off you go to wah wah land. Press toe down again to go back to using the expression pedal for volume.
Very cool Example & reason why I love my Line 6 Equipment. Nothing else compares to a light load to carry with everything you need to play. Musical X Dave
Hi Tom090586, You can find Fuzz Box at Classic (Green LED). You can find more information on the amp models on page 10 of the manual. It's available for download at Line 6 if you don't have it any longer. Thanks!
@GoodGuitarGoneBad Plugging the output of the FPP directly into the Line Input of your built in sound card works, but as you have seen, may not always result in a great tone. You should look into purchasing a better audio interface other than your built in on your computer. Look into the POD Studio UX1. You can still run the output of your FPP directly into that. It will sound better.
Yes but you'll need audio cables to do this. Come out of the Out to Amp output on the Floor POD Plus with a 1/4" mono cable directly into the 1/8 stereo Line Input on your computer.
the pocket pod has a bunch of song presets such as crazy train, sweet child o mine, paranoid, and others. Does this have all those, and if not what does. Also is the wah like an auto wah where you just push the foot pedal down lower to get more wah, or is it like a normal wah where you let it off to have no wah and push it down to have wah.
surprisingly it does not sound fake or atleast in the video it doesnt I need to try one out in person cause I am thinking about getting me one for my practice rig and one for dads b day
@GoodGuitarGoneBad You won't be able to record MIDI through the POD. I'm assuming you want to record audio. If that's the case then you won't need a MIDI to USB cable. Simply connect a cable from the analog outputs of your POD to the Line IN of your computer or to some analog inputs on a separate audio interface. You'll need to have some sort of recording application downloaded and installed on your computer as well.
i have a spider 3 15 watt amp how do i get the best sound from it as when i link my floor pod into it it sounds horrible plz help as i cannot afford another amp thank you
The best way to get tips and ideas on how to dial in certain tones on your Spider is to visit our community forums on our website. You can check them out at line6 site /support
I had a modded crybaby - it wasn't as smooth as that, but it pissed all over a Morely classic wah I had and is immeasurably better than the wah on the vox tonelab st I currently own (though the vox mostly has better tones...but weaker FX. Why can't they put the best bits of all these sub £200 pedals together?). I upgraded to a floor pod plus and whilst the FX were better it didn't sound as good as my floor pod? Hence the purchase of the tonelab st...
These are lots of cool effects to fool around at home. But I need a pedal for gigging, which kicks my ass:) A heavy, Slipknot-ish sound is what I'm going for. I really like this pedal, and would immediately buy it, if it sounds heavy enough for metal gigging. What do you think? (the other models are too expensive for me...)
Hi, not on the Floor POD. If you wanted to get down to the real nitty gritty and tweak certain parameters youll need to graduate to the XT or X3 family of PODs.
Green Insane is my favourite distortion... it's like late's 80 instrumental rock and it fits to many other genres ;D
i love its flange/chorus, especially playing come as you are by nirvana. love this pedal.
@rerean Yes. It's a chromatic tuner so it will allow you to drop tune to various tunings.
@Hal0zen The Floor POD will work with any amp. Our amps sport flat response speakers in their cabinets and besides our modeling software, they work just like any other amp.
@GuitarsBlood Definitely. Just put the 3rd party distortion pedal before the POD in your signal chain.

@jbsnightrain You can use a third party wah pedal if you'd like however the expression pedal built onto it can be used as a volume and as a wah pedal.
@II6bulletII You can have up to two (2) effects at once on the Floor POD.

@TheBelva85 The PODxt and POD X3 devices offer this feature. It's called "tweak".
cool i have the pocket pod and its cool as well
You can get product manuals at the line6 site. go to /manuals/ and choose POD.
@FloydsterUtube no. The Floor POD does not have a USB or MIDI jack to connect to a computer to load patches from Custom Tone.
The Floor Pod will allow you to create multiple patches and just by banking up or down you can go from Clean to Insane.
just got it tonight for christmas :D

Clean and Wet, just how i like it
Is this good for like a Spider IV amp (because it already has some effects on it) or should i just get separate stomp boxes ._.
@GoodGuitarGoneBad
Did you turn it from Amp to input on the back??

i dont think so cause the spider has some of those affects that the floor pod has but im not sure how many the floor pod has
is it any good for hard, metal distortion, like Venom, or Pantera and such...
how do you change the pedal for wah?
@BkkCheesepie To me it sounds something like Electric Funeral by Sabbath
what should i do if the letters ER appear when i plug in my floor pod??
Can u control the delay and the modulations in depth?
having trouble between this and pocket pod any suggestions
does it have a distortion pedal?
can the tuner tune from standard to drop C/drop B/drop D?
can the floor pod plus?
Is it worth it putting it through a line 6 spider 3 amp which is what i have?
can U test the Floor Pod with a Strat??
im kinda trying to get a good sound =S
but i need more explanation. =(
hows the wah pedal?

The progression is: E sus, B, A, A add 9
@paests Line 6 Support will be able to help you out with this, just visit the Line6 site and click on support. Thanks.

I just bought this pedal, and it has no instructions (PAWN SHOPS!!!!!!!!!!). How do I activate the Wah!?
The floor pods have Wah go to there site line6 n check out there equipment. Everything that I own that is line6 I could not be happier with it.
@mhd9890

@line6movies how exactly do you change it to wah mode?
Press the volume pedal to the floor, then press a little more until you feel a click.
sure
On the POD itself, yes. If you mean, will the POD control your amp, then no.
2:05-2:21 sounds like as i am by dream theater,
scar tissue by rhcp?
just bought one of these for like 12 dollars (100 swedish crowns). ^^
the floor pod is pretty good but it doesnt have enough variety.
I need one of these my guitar sound like the devil took a shit on it.
holy crap, at 2:15 it sounds like your going to do nothing to say by slash(though its a very generic riff)
This pedal actually looks pretty good, I think I'll be forced to invest, lol
@misirlou234 press the volume pedal down
what I hate about this pedal is that when i turn the wah on the sound get so fucking much louder.
No. The Floor Pod cannot be connected to your computer.
yeah, it's pretty good, but i guess you can find a better one.
not enough variety
it doesnt actually sound like that. u need a good amp. it sounds ok on beginner amps.
Omg potato land
It's Patrick Bateman.
hahahahaha that speaker is suck a tool, but yea,i need to get that
