- In this epic Total War Warhammer 2 SUBCOMMANDERS custom scenario , the Last Alliance of Elves and Dwarfs makes its stand against the Undead Hordes of Nagash in a Battle of the End Times. This is Subcommanders, where each player control a section and archetype of the entire force, and makes for some very exciting gameplay! The Order of Loremasters and High Elves led by the twins Tyrion and Teclis begin a new alliance with the Dwarfs in an attempt to defeat the Red Duke and Mousillon, Aranessa Saltspite and the Vampire Coast, and Arkhan the Black's Tomb Kings Followers of Nagash!

I mean...this is just a great teamup... the melee infantry and artillery of the Dwarves and the ranged power and cavalry of the Elves...that's formidable no matter the enemy they face!
That's pretty much the tragedy of these two races in the lore. If they did more than just occasionally team up in extraordinary circumstances when there's no longer any other choice, and forge an alliance anew, they would probably be able to recapture some of their lost glory. Unfortunately Malekith really knew what he was doing when he went "yeah, I really can't allow them to be friends".
@@Talyrion also, the arrogance of the Elves and the dullness of the Dwarves did not help to calm things down. The War of Vengeance might have been avoided if the Asurs had not elected Caledor the Second as Phoenix King.
Add in the Empire Greatswords and demigryph knights led by Karl Franz and it will be even more epic!
indeed. the perfect matchup for that team will be skaven range, chaos frontline and possibly greenskins monsters or vampire cavalry

@@spencergalland5754 Both of those units were there. 10:20 shows the slayers, and the Warriors are on the end roster for the Dawi.

That being said, do have a bit of a Christmas wish request, even if you post it like a blooper or something, would just be awesome to see in laboratory 19 Queen Bess'es fire into a horde of stationary, unit size maxed, overlayed chaff to or something. I just imagine like 19 360 (think that's the unit cap size) size unbreakable clanrats getting deleted on no gravity.
Hey you could even start anew series of it like "Chaff getting deleted by awesome op units from all the different races" or something like that😂

I am absolutely here for subcommmanders. They've been such different, awesome games.
Cool seeing the undead use the sand dunes to kind break up that direct fire from the cannons. But the more arced artillary is still hitting them.
God the Dawn of War 2 OST is something else, I knew it the first time I heard it when the game came out...

The blood knights retreating backwards down the slope was the a key mistake. If they had taken the initiative with the sphinxes and red duke they could have destroyed that flank, but instead they gave the princes the charge, got surrounded, and were deleted.

The dragon vs dragon was awesome
One by one, Nagash and his powers of necromancy overtook the lands of Nehkhara, killing all the Kings. But there were some who resisted. A Last alliance of men, elves and dwarves marched against the hordes of the undead. Together, in the shadowlands, they fought for the freedom of the Old World....Victory was near.......But the power of Nagash could not be undone....
*Nagash goes to slash tons of men, elves and dwarves*
*The Emperor charges head on to stop the necromancer lord but to no avail*
*The Emperor, last ruler of the empire fell*
*It seemed all hope was lost until the son of the Emperor took up the Warhammer, Ghal Maraz and defeated Nagash. Nagash, the enemy of the Mortal Realms was defeated.....*
*And in time, Nagash was forgotten until.....a rumor grew, that a cunning necromancer was seen in the lands of Sylvania......*

Damn your cavalry division really made the difference in that matchup.
However you skipped the fact that the Queen Bess was destroyed really early on, I think by elven bolt throwers, which gave a big advantage to the alliance of Dwarfs and Elves.

Love this game mode which it was official must be hell trying to do this with a bunch if randos.
For your next video you should do a three way battle with the empire, dwarfs and the vampire coast and all of them can only use gunpowder weapons.
Edit: should actually make it 4 factions, the forth being the scaven. And speaking of scaven did you just call Trion ikit claw at 2:04.
Nah he was naming the player controlling the High Elf ranegd Units (their steam name is Ikit Claw). He literally and correctly says Tyrion's name 5 seconds after.

This is my favourite sub commanders battle but is would be cool to see high elves cavalry and Artillery and beasts dark elves infinity and wood elves archers and spirits vs vampire cavalry and infinity tomb kings mister and vampire coast archers and artillery arcon the black the red duke and Luther against Tirion Malikith and Orion the title could be the blood dragons vs the elven kings

I would call it Dwarf sheildwall as it does exist lorewise and not a Dwarf Phlanx (Said around 0.37.) as Dwarves for some stupid reason (A defensive weapon for a mainly defensive faction.) don't use spears, which I'm think were used in very old lore/army lists.
It's a shame the Vamp Coast player didn't go with Aranessas faction; if he did it would've been three yellow armies
In Rome 1 there is no FF with chariots only knocks units around BUT if a cav unit charges into the back of a friendly phalanx formation that is fighting something that cav will take massive friendly "fire" for some reason lost quite a few generals before learning this
Rome 1 chariots and elephants had a chance to rampage and could friendly fire in that state but not normally
I was getting pissed off watching RoR ammo be wasted on zombies. But at least watching Bess and the Colossus get destroyed early on, the artillery duel wasn't an obvious wash.
That artillery from undead in the beginning, why tf this was so accurate and dealt so much damage?
That's what happens when you go up against probably the best artillery faction in the game. That queen Bes cannon can easily kill half an infantry unit in 1 shot.

@@fizzbrew That said. The Red Duke was very underwhelming too. Didn't do much for most of the game and the moment he tries something he gets all his cavalry vaporized with almost nothing to show for it.
Undead are my favorite I love the elves but the undead are better in my opinion 💀
