I usually don't mind Jessica, but Jesus Christ she was delusional on this video, she clearly just has personal resentments toward Musk and can't quite back it up with real arguments so just spews a bunch of nonsense. That whole thing about Musk owning his employees apartments was hilarious.
If/when she does have kids, she'll change her mind. And if not then, then wow.... all I can say is I'd feel bad for those kids.
What’s more annoying is Robby clearly doesn’t have kids either because this is so easy to argue into the ground I can find a random mom after a random school who can do a better job arguing against this insane policy.

I'm a parent and a former teacher. I completely agree with her. The law doesn't say teachers and schools must hide info from parents. The law is saying that schools can't make your child's sexuality THEIR business. If anything affects their health and safety, then a school is STILL obligated to inform you.
you don't have to be a parent to understand and empathise with how to raise children...the whole community takes part in raising a child even if they didn't give birth to them,

Love it when parents talk about children's rights without considering what the children want. If a child DOESN'T want their parents to know something about their own identity, why would u force schools to disclose that? Child rights aren't obsolute, that's for sure, but they most certainly should have the right to not disclose aspects of their personal identity to their parents.

This policy provides less transparency to parents regarding their child's lives while they're away from home and in an environment the pare nts have no influence in. I don't have children, but I see how this policy degrades the ability of the parents to understand their children fully. Kids will behave differently among peers and away from home. I don't get it, the kid can still express themselves how they want, this is just about notifying the parents of their child's behavior. If little Johnny was a saint at home but a POS at school, I'm sure I'd here about it. Vice versa, I'd hope.

yea, if i was a parent and lived there, i would set my moving schedule to coincide with elon's moving schedule. family and parenting has to have some meaning that is defined primarily by parents.

Yes, I don’t agree with Jessica’s point of view but is nice to actually hear a conversation of two people with different opinions.
It has been VERY difficult for the show to find someone on the progressive left not to bully Robbie since Ryan left. I can find her either ignorant or vile at times like so many of the previous co-hosts, but she can also be funny, she is intelligent, and she lets Robbie speak most of the time. They could and have done much worse.

For the second quintile it went from 8.1 to 9.1%
3rd quintile went from 14 to 14.6%.

In other words the lowest earners have gained ground under Biden.

If a teacher tries to mess with a kid's mind and try to claim gender is not based in biology you need to get your child away from that teacher and fast. Confusion among pubescent children is not uncommon but physical mutilation with drugs or worse surgery is beyond all reason and science.The EU countries and UK no longer support gender change by drugs or surgery on minors.Why? Because the child decided they want their teacher to know and not their parent. Why should parents rights trump children's rights, especially when a child identifying as whatever they want is a personal issue that only affects the child, and not the child's future or any investment that the parents have a role in.

@TheCrusherofice it's not a "personal issue" if they are sharing this info with a teacher. Parents should be required to know all info regarding there children's behavior at school if requested. Parents are the legal guardian and caregiver. Imagine if the child committed suicide and the parents never were told about there child's gender identity problem? You would be outraged.

I think Robbie's argument is that the state shouldn't have the power to tell the schools what to do in this situation. He's wrong, but for the opposite reason. All medical/psychological concerns displayed by a student should be reported to the parents. If a student displays suicidal thoughts or anorexia, shouldn't a school be required to report that to the parents?
I'm not saying Jessica is right. Far from it, as parents are trusting the schools with the care of their children within those hours.
ALL medical/psychological concerns should be brought to the parents' attention by the teachers/schools. Period. If we need a state/national law to ensure these medical/psychological issues (no matter the prevailing view on them) are being told to the parents, so be it.

Its crazy how some parents here are talking about their kids like property. There's a difference between being protective and then just disregarding that your child is a living being. We all kept secrets from our parents, all of us and if you deny that, you're lying. If a child trusted you, they'd tell you, but god forbid they tell someone else they trust or else it's labeled grooming. Do a better job at parenting, then maybe others wouldn't have to step in for you. Jessica has the most sane mind on this topic.

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith.
So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana".
I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling.
He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car.
A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
Correct again Robbie, thank you for knowing your history and the state of corporations in California. That is why many have come to Texas.

I think you need to listen a bit more closely to what was being discussed. Robby is very narrowly discussing what freedom means. Nobody is forcibly confining anybody to live anywhere. How you deal with the financial implications of making certain choices/external events is also up to you.

It is obvious that Jessica is not a parent. There are many reasons why a child might fear discussing this matter with parents. None of them have anything to do with how good or bad a parent is. Also, keep in mind that down the road, the teacher or school principal is not going to be around to clean up the emotional mess created by teachers. Also, SpaceX belongs to Elon Musk. He has every right to locate his company whoever he decides to. Employees that can’t accept that should find another job.

It's true: For elementary and high school field trips, Permission slips have always been required to be signed consent from parents.
Schools are public, governmental agencies funded by the taxpaying parents. Parents have a right to know everything going on in a school, especially related to their own children.
