so glad you made this video. personally, i think she has signs of mental instability and wasn't purchasing these items bc she appreciates luxury but because she likes to flex on social media. i hope she finds peace though. it's crazy seeing how much these things impact some people.

Watched her video and to clarify, she did not get rid of ALL her bags/shoes etc. She basically significantly reduced her large walk-in wardrobe and still kept her favourite Chanel’s, Hermes etc. She got rid of all coloured and seasonal items and NOt the classic colours ie beiges, whites, blacks, greys. 😏

Kat I love you so much. Love your acting out of Shackles. I was slightly offended by Nikis video because I think I’m a fairly authentic down to earth person. I just love luxury bags. I have zero urge to get rid of them 😂

Haha! For #4 lies. My 2 daughters already said they are going to take my bags! One said she said she will sell it in the future if needed! 😂

My takeaways from her video are that she became a mom and her lifestyle, priorities, and style changed. That seems like a common and average experience, but like you guys said she is making it sound like something spiritual and dramatic. Great way to get views. I can’t relate to it but perhaps a lot of her subscribers are growing up with her and she doesn’t see the sales or views come through from her previous luxury outfit content. Most of the world, to be honest, is not high fashion and looking for comfortable basics and a more relatable influencer persona. It’s hard to relate to someone with a huge luxury closet. I predict she will focus more on comfortable high end basics

Nobody was holding a gun to her head telling her to buy any of the stuff. It was her mindset that was influenced by the marketing and society and her choice. I only bought things that I intend on keeping forever and because I love the design regardless if it’s popular or not. It’s not a competition but those who bought things that were influenced by her would probably feel annoyed maybe now that she’s purging. Will she get rid of all her jewellery next? I see her wearing fine jewellery in the video 😂. Her choice, her journey, but a lot of things she said show it as her own personal problems with underlying issues, hope she’s going to be ok mentally and focused on what she wants. The video was too ‘spiritual’ for me (might be an unpopular opinion). Her selling items means she’s cashing in on it too??

Completely agree with every single point you guys made. It’s quite odd that she thinks her self struggle applies to everyone, unless she’s doing it for the views

Great chat! I have luxury bags that I love but sometimes are not suitable for the season (e.g. when I am with my son, I don’t wear my handbags because I don’t have the mental capacity to keep track of the bag and him.) But I knew that when I bought the bag. 😊

Never heard of this Niki person before. Don’t plan on going onto her channel to watch it. I buy handbags bc I see it completing an outfit. I don’t accessorize much, so a handbag is my accessory. Great chat Kat and @ClaraZeela.

@Kat L this is by far the most balanced discussion we have had about the purge. Having it in a discussion was way more interesting so that we can discuss how we felt and dissect what was really meant by alot of the phrasing and language being used. Thank you @ClaraZeela for a summary of the book thus far. I actually did think ; what brought this on? so I went searching and found the video prior to this purging video which shows some of the hurts that was brought up during the time she was reading the book....it all seemed a little too theatrical and staged to be honest .

So she got the bags to do the videos and collect the returns from those now she’s done with that she sells the bags and makes additional money on that and her followers are in for the ride basically. This makes me somewhat mad. It’s like she is using her followers each time she buys or sells something.

Plus videos like this one talking about her video are just giving her more views and bottom line is she makes more money

Omg what Clara said is so true , I bought my mom a pair of earrings and she puts it in the safe it’s wasn’t even real diamonds or expensive …..
    It’s such a traditional thinking
They cherish it so much they put it away or like you said they think it’s too good for them which is sad

Hi girls, great to see you together in this show. Love you guys' wit, humour, good sense, and 'authentic selves', lol. Gosh, one more time someone brings up the topic of their authentic self, I'd join the rally for removing this word from the English dictionary. Watched this woman's video because of your discussion. She's flaky. Anyone finds meaning of life through the purchase of brand name bags is nothing more than an empty shell. I love nice things, buy them with disposable income and enjoy them. I earn respect from people with my education, professional status and contribution to the society and humanity, and I don't care how others see or judge my Chanel classic double flap. Like Clara, I don't care. Niki wants to follow the trend of denouncing materialism, and advocating minimalism, good for her if she's sincere but not for getting likes. We should be mindful of over consumption, and taking care of our environment, but there's nothing wrong with liking Hermes. You girls are doing great, and you're real, and very cute, not at all like some fake hypocritical influencers who pretend to take themselves so seriously. Where is baby Natto?

I watched that video cos I’m a subscriber , I was shocked cos I mean she had SOOOO MUCH and now her closet / room is so empty lol
the way she put it … I think she felt overwhelmed by all the stuff she had and that she probably think those things held her down
Like you guys said things shouldn’t make us feel that way bt I guess for her she was running away from her “inner problem 😅”
    Definitely very extreme
I went on the site where the consignment company is helping her sell the stuff
    It’s weird
There are Zara and cheaper items which for these brands I normally just donate 😅

Good morning guys! What a nice surprise live! I'd never heard of that channel before. Sounds super holier-than-thou to me. I get suspicious whenever someone, anyone, tells me they've "seen the light." Sounds cult-y to me, which ironically is usually what they're reacting against. Like "you're a cult!" "No, you're a cult!" 🫠🙃🤷🏽‍♀️
