this is confusing, i want to add my site, but my site doesn't include www.(name) so anytime i wait for sites, it always tell me DNS not verified, how do i fix this? I've also tried leaving the "www" option blank, but then it tells me its not an existing site.. Can someone help?

Hi, at time of verifying make sure have sign in with the same gmail account in Google Site and Webmaster Central (some time multiple gmail login in browser creates this issue)

So the issue is, your domain name was Verified property of that gmail account (that first method you tried)

Solution:
Open webmaster console of first gmail account you used, then delete the Verified Domain Property.
after that do the same process with same gmail account
