And thanks to that amount of money Jeff Jarrett make after the WWE when he was in WCW, he probably used that money he made to found TNA/Impact Wrestling (current product isn't the same). Kudos for Jeff Jarrett for bringing that alternative that gave us the lights of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, AMW, Team Canada, LAX (Homicide and Hernandez), Team 3D, Christian Cage, Kurt Angle and the list goes on and yes I included former WWE wrestlers cause they had better careers there than the WWE.

Jerry Jarrett was the biggest financial backer in TNA's early months. Without his Father's money Jeff wouldn't have gotten TNA launched. And Kurt Angle absolutely did not have a better career in TNA. Sure, he was their biggest fish in a small pond, but Kurt had better matches and made better memories in the WWE.
Possibly the greatest (and funniest) match in the company's history that involved a special referee. And let's not forget about Rock's constant trips to the commentary table during the match and the fact that he also gave Triple H a hearty hand clap after The Game hit Bulldog with The Pedigree. 😂

Chyne was always involved in men matches and we enjoy them for what they were.. Now people making women look weak thanking all women is so easy to hurt or they will cry.. She was already seen as "one of the boys", which I think made it easier to have her work angles with men. I think imposing women, women who could be seen as "tough", could work in the Men's division. For example, Becky Lynch (her whole gimmick is that she's a female Stone Cold) Lacey Evans (if they play up her real life attitude and military history) and Asuka (has the Joshi cred and has worked with men in Japan)

This recent Hell in a Cell PPV had the best match with two women in the cell which completely made the men's hell in a cell look pathetic. They could totally do more with the intergender wrestling for sure but you cannot by any stretch of the imagination say they're making the women look weak in this day and age! To even try to play that card straight up tells me you have no idea what you're talking about. Mae Young must’ve had adamantium bones or something, she took some crazy bumps for someone in their mid-70s. My grandfather was a tough, rugged dude, but he tripped on the corner of a rug and broke his shoulder, hip and ankle when he was like 72, and here’s Mae taking dropkicks and falling off the ring apron at 76!
Mae was around 2 or so years younger than my Great Grandmother we affectionately called “Mere” and passed in 2008 at 87, she would have been killed trying the stuff Mae was doing!
She reminds me of my grandfather (R.I.P.) he was basically more of a father to me he taught me all he learn from his time in the army and amateur boxing he was 63 by 2010 and he still wanted me to do boxing training with him

Courtesy of a family friend I had a vhs tape with a recording of Summerslam 99 immediately followed by this. I loved watching No Mercy. Mostly for the tag match of course. However I still remember my mom (who hated wrestling) always laughed so hard at Chioda when he took the second ref bump immediately after getting back up. So the main event has a special spot too. It was a PPV I could watch and my mom would actually sit and watch it with me!

The awkward thing about women’s wrestling then... Was that the Joshi scene was decades ahead even in the early 90’s, so Moolah’s stranglehold and the T&A sleazy element of the marketing in American women’s wrestling definitely had a hand in folks’ perceptions of it. Which is weird cuz Joshi feds did the bikini shoots and all... But it didn’t take away from the in-ring stuff at all.
The ladder match between The Hardys and Edge and Christian is referenced in the game manual of No Mercy as the reason why the Ladder Match stipulation being in the game. It's a nice callback.

Mae Young must’ve had adamantium bones or something, she took some crazy bumps for someone in their mid-70s. My grandfather was a tough, rugged dude, but he tripped on the corner of a rug and broke his shoulder, hip and ankle when he was like 72, and here’s Mae taking dropkicks and falling off the ring apron at 76!
Mae was around 2 or so years younger than my Great Grandmother we affectionately called “Mere” and passed in 2008 at 87, she would have been killed trying the stuff Mae was doing!
She reminds me of my grandfather (R.I.P.) he was basically more of a father to me he taught me all he learn from his time in the army and amateur boxing he was 63 by 2010 and he still wanted me to do boxing training with him

I never really thought about it much in the moment (besides the crazy Dudley Boyz Powerbomb through a table spot off the stage). But she did a hell a lot for the company as far as taking bumps and just doing whatever was asked of her. What a pro! She truly loved the business!

Courtesy of a family friend I had a vhs tape with a recording of Summerslam 99 immediately followed by this. I loved watching No Mercy. Mostly for the tag match of course. However I still remember my mom (who hated wrestling) always laughed so hard at Chioda when he took the second ref bump immediately after getting back up. So the main event has a special spot too. It was a PPV I could watch and my mom would actually sit and watch it with me!

The awkward thing about women’s wrestling then... Was that the Joshi scene was decades ahead even in the early 90’s, so Moolah’s stranglehold and the T&A sleazy element of the marketing in American women’s wrestling definitely had a hand in folks’ perceptions of it. Which is weird cuz Joshi feds did the bikini shoots and all... But it didn’t take away from the in-ring stuff at all.
