My first PPV I watched was WM17 and I watched the entire thing at a friends house and my mom called ny friends house on the 11th hour to get are asses home because the next night was a school night, needless to say the last match was Austin vs Rock 2 and we obviously missed it😭😭😭😭😭
I'll never forget that HIAC hype package because they aired that thing on every Raw and SD in the build-up for the ppv
"Champaign, Dean?!" - I bartend and we watch wrestling at the bar all the time...anytime somebody orders a mimosa...
This ppv is the definition of a One Match Show
To each to their own Brian. The HIAC was absolute chaos and I loved it
Fun fact. This was the first PPV i ever watched live
@wrestling with wregret thank you for the upload. I wait for these classic ppv reviews. I love them.
ive waited years for you to review this ppv and now that you did it has made my serotonin skyrocket. thank you
man i wish you would do these once a week instead of 2 a month.....i know it takes researching but i watch this playlist every single day....please do more!!!! lol!! best wrestling channel out there.
So glad you got to review this! I wanted to get my piece in on Patreon, but money got tight. By the way, I was there in Birmingham for Armageddon!
13:43 When Stevie was in RTC he went by Steven Richards,so the "Stevie kick" got renamed to "Steven kick" to fit the gimmick change.
This is first PPV I remember watching so I’m glad Brian is reviewing it
Love the nostalgia
This was held in my hometown. I wish I was a wrestling fan back when this happened, but one of my friends went and had a cool shirt from the event.
No way, I was just watching an old review of yours from this era last night thinking "damn wish he'd do Armageddon 2000" and here it is : )
I don't think I've watched this show since I was a child, all I remember is the 6 man Hell in a Cell and Rikishi falling off the roof onto the back of the truck
So hyped to watch this vid
This PPV along with Backlash 2000 are a couple of the PPVs that stick in my mind till this day.
I'm kinda glad Brian was honest about the HIAC match. I remember being completely disappointed by it at the time and found Rikishis 'chokeslam' by Taker to be the softcore version of Foleys Fall. I was furious Angle won too. He had go away heat with me back then. I was even bored by the last man standing match too. I enjoyed the 6 person opener alot more than later matches if I'm honest
no other thumbnail would have done this review justice 🤘🏻
I bloody love these retro reviews. Top work BZ 👍🏻
I remember this main event so fondly, and as an adult my cousin and I still crave rewatches simply for the star power of the main event.
Ah man I have been waiting for this one for a long time now. Since you started doing this I have been hoping for this one. Love it
This was one of my first PPV experiences as a wrestling fan! So many great memories
This was the first wwe ppv I ever watch when I first got into wrestling. Will always hold a special place in my heart
Time flies man. I requested my dad to buy this ppv for me. I was huge taker fan and was hoping he will win the gold. Kurt won the freaking match. Next day conversation at school was gold.
Hell ya! I'm always stoked when there's a new Classic PPV Review. I never get tired of the nostalgia
You know what I remember the most about that Rikishi spot? How much the camera flashes lit him up on the way down. That was incredible.
I am looking forward to the No Way Out review. Ever since last time when Brian announced he was doing Armageddon 2000, I was hoping for No Way Out. After that we will have a six month stretch of Classic PPV Reviews from Survivor Series 2000 to Backlash 2001. I kinda want to make a chronological order playlist for each company to help see storylines play out.
Crazy to see a review of this event! Because I attended the show!! And yes this is the only PPV event that came to the BJCC in 20 years now, no clue why? The magic city needs more big events when possible.
I was there too. It was awesome. The BJCC was a perfect building for wrestling.
I could watch The Rock take the stunner all day. It's always hilarious
6:02 Nah, the greatest wrestler from Mobile has to be the master of the tornado DDT, Fuego Del Sol! 😂
Holy shit, Malenko still had the Light Heavyweight Championship at this point! It's like he held that belt the entire year!
Pretty much did. Other than Essa Rios and Scotty 2 Hotty there weren’t many other credible light heavyweights.
@@MGSBlackCat17 There was Taka Michinoku.
Taka Michi-no-clue-what-to-do-with-him.
-WWF booking
Bro glad ya feeling better ur intro is way better than Too Cool and Rikishi s theme song they damn near sound alike 👊✌
They only do Smackdown here. The last events I attended was when AJ and Daniel fought in the concession stands. Devon was holding fans back and he pushed me out of the way, which was kinda cool, and when the fiend cut Daniel's hair off!
That Kane choke slam on Jericho might be the best I’ve ever saw
1. *Skip to **0:17*
2. (0:21-0:24)
#MyChildhood #Nostalgia #TheFeels
3. Armageddon is one of my all-time favorite and criminally underrated WWF/E Pay-Per-Views ever, especially the one from 2000.
4. "The End is Here" is one of my all-time favorite wrestling theme songs ever.
When NXT brought that song back to hype up Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux (tick tock!), a wave of nostalgia came rushing in.
5. This show is especially remembered for the 6-man Hell in a Cell Match and some other things.
6. (0:33-0:37)
*Another rare f-bomb by Brian Zane*
7. (9:55-12:02; 17:26-22:38)
*What we've ALL been waiting for*
Love the nostalgia.....1st time I've saw this PPV.
Favorite channel on UA-cam !! Great stuff Brian
Why wasn’t right to censor val venis’s money shot renamed the holy diver.....
Omg the no way out 2001 was the bomb.
Yeah Triple H vs Stone Cold Steve Austin in a three stages of hell match and The Rock vs Kurt Hurt for the WWF championship were great matches.
2 reviews in 1 week? You do spoil us Master Zane.
Dean Malenko's "oh that hurt" and Billy Gunn's "oh Jesus!" sells are hilarious
That segment when the Dudleys faked that they were joining Right to Censor was the first wrestling segment I ever saw and I was instantly hooked.
Another great moment in timing in this match is that during the replay of Austin slingshotting HHH onto the car hood on the set, the live shot shows Austin dropping a barrel with the sound hitting at the same time as the throw so it adds a kinda cartoony sound to it. Always cracks me up
I had most of the 2000-2001 PPV VHS tapes, including this one. I don’t think I watched it as much as the 2001 RR-Wrestlemania trilogy. I’m excited for your No Way Out review!
My favorite W^3 videos: Classic PPV reviews!
Always good to see some Classic PPV content!
The flying nothing really has the potential to be the most devastating move ever
Especially if it's from Bret's Rope.
Oh man the main event brings me back memories.
