      I 2nd that notion and recall when my brother told me Boss man's real name
      We still joke about it and as marks, we have trouble going back and closing the curtain. Whenever we played video games, we called the Undertaker Mark! Lol
      That still is the funniest.
      You have this Deadman character and you're playing with you action figures, commentating the match, 'OH NO MARK IS GOING FOR OLD SCHOOL.....THE TOMBSTONE AND GLEN BEATS MARK!!

      Living in the UK and only going to a couple of house shows and a TV taping in my time, I know that sometimes it's not the quality of the show but the atmosphere and all these PPVs would have had that in spades, but dang, did you pick some weird shows to attend. There's historic matches for the right and wrong reasons on every one of those cards.

    • @thescott7539
      @thescott7539 Рік тому +1

      @@Joe90h Oh I know. Mania IX is considered near the bottom of the list, but to be there in person you don't get that feeling. I mean we in the crowd didn't even know Hogan really won the title, we thought it was just him sending the crowd home happy. The Bash in 95 was just insane at the actual beach in the heat. Then there's Mania 2000, which had the match that would later be known as TLC. Also met a woman at Mania 2000 who was so convinced that Kane was really unable to speak, that I couldn't bring myself to tell her that he had no issues talking when he was Isaac Yankhem. And I've been to several RAW and Smackdown tapings that were great too, including the one and only match featuring Cena, HBK and Hulk Hogan as a tag team.
      I was seriously considering going to the Rumble tomorrow (I now live in San Antonio), but I just don't know if I'd have the same feelings I had for these shows.

    • @Joe90h
      @Joe90h Рік тому

      @@thescott7539 There was a Smackdown TV taping I went to in either late 2006 or early 2007 in Birmingham (The UK one, not the Alabama one) here Mr Kennedy was getting up in Teddy Long's face about something or other, and the smart part of me suspected the Undertaker wasn't in the country so I prepared for disappointment.
      The atmosphere in the crowd when he actually said "I'm putting you in a match tonight against the Undertaker!" was electric, and if nothing else, I got to see that entrance in person, so it didn't matter that I can't remember a single other thing that happened on that night. I might hit up Cage Match and figure out the night and what the card was.

    I remember a shoot interview with Luna and Gangrel, she said that she was told that if Sable got injured in this match, she’s fired (I can’t remember who it was, but she said that she knew it came from Vince). Then, when the match was over and Luna got backstage, nobody said a word to her, but when Sable got back there, everyone was clapping, cheering, and telling her how great she did. Luna then said she went into a corner to cry, and Owen Hart came up to her, told her she wrestled a good match, and stayed there with her when she was crying.

    I always love the timing of that fan, hitting Vince with a cup, or balled up paper.
    Vince, the consummate professional, flinched, but otherwise ignored it!
    I thought it was telling, even though I normally hate fans throwing things, or getting too involved. Actually, I'm a bit of a Hypocrite on the 2nd one!
    Before the Pandemic I was at Raw in Montreal, had seats in the pit, right along the railing entrance.
    Best seats ever. Anyway. I did get involved in the show, but not intentionally. Corbin was running away from Strowman and tried to hide behind me. I snitched on him, by waving my arms, just to let Braun know where Corbin was. The actual t.v. broadcast missed some of it but I am there, forever a very, very, very, minor part of RAW fan History. Lol
    I'm the stalky white guy, with a black shirt, shaved head and sun glasses. I wanted to stand out!
    I had two signs. One for the Friendos and the Other for The Z man. Good times!

    Wrestling With Wregret- According to Jason "The Solomonster" Solomon, he needs ruined something else about what you talked about around 14:30-14:42 in an episode of his podcast from the fall of 2021, I believe.
    According to him, he said that Mick Foley & The Rock agreed on 5 chair shots, but, The Rock gave him double the amount & sometime in the backstage area after the match was over, The Rock never checked up on Mick Foley to see if he was O.K. after the match & for quite a while, Mick Foley held a grudge with The Rock, but, they eventually patched things up, they were cool with each other, they moved on & the rest is history.
