My 3 year old daughter has Leukemia. I’ve lost 10-15 pounds since her diagnoses. It’s so incredibly emotionally and mentally exhausting. I found your channel right after giving birth to her and you made me get back to taking care of my self. I was on a journey to start fixing myself up again and then she was diagnosed so that was put on hold. I actually purchased a handful of items from your Karen Millen collection the month before she was diagnosed. Loved every single item. So thank you for providing an escape from my hectic life! Also, very random… I too suffer from emetophobia!

Oh Lydia please don’t cut back your hyacinth leaves. Leave them on & plant them just as they are. The goodness from the leaves as they die off needs to go back into the bulb for flowering next year. It’s the same for daffodils too 😊
The muddy mauve is gorgeous. The tone with the floor and the stone on the sink is chef's kiss. The green is beautiful. Maybe that tone would work for drapery/shade and or plants in the space?. Things are different for us seeing it on a screen. Just a thought.

Possible trick for testing paint colors that I did. Buy thick posterboard or even thin and paint the posterboard the test colors - then carry the posterboard to various areas of the house/room/lighting/time of day. I found that to be so great way to really see and even test in more than one room. :)
I use cardboard and do the same thing. It’s pretty accurate on colour for walls too☺️

Hi Lydia, pls don’t cut the leaves of the bulbs. They need the leaves to feed the bulbs with nutrients for next growth. We should rather wait for the leaves to die off on their own 20:29
You can take a rubber band bend them down and band them together if you do not want the foliage to show.

Same as Daffodils. There is a name for it, the leaves feed the bulbs and you let them die off naturally. 👍♥👍
They won’t flower next year. You’ve basically killed them 😮
I've always folded the leaves over and made a knot of sorts which makes them look tidier. The other people who commented are absolutely correct, the bulb needs the nutrients from the leaves for the next flowering season.
We had to put our 12yr old Golden Labrador to sleep on 5th March and I am broken we have no children she was my life.
Honestly what first drew me to your channel was how you love your animals and now nature etc.
Love those furbabies hold them tight because when they go you feel like an empty shell in my experience.
We used the services of a home vet which if available I highly recommend just in general for healthcare of your furbabies because they were much more available and able to care for our girl in her home environment so took away the stress of going to a Vet surgery. Obviously a higher price point but worth it.
So so sorry for your loss 😢🌸

I have been watching your tictok, and yesterday I started watching your UA-cam, I think I’ve watched many of your videos since then, but I’m in love with your authenticity. I live in Mauritius but I’m from Scotland! My style used to be what my mum would give me and I never really liked clothing and I didn’t know my inner style. I actually met my boyfriend’s mum two years ago and since then she has been an inspiration to be myself and a massive part of that is how I dress and how I value what I have. Now I will admit I love being Morden but I love traditional colours and styles. I keep myself between. But you are helping me be more confident and more productive in myself. Keep being you and not letting anyone tell you who to be or how to act! FYI, I loveeee your videos no matter what’s inside! It’s the perfect length for me 🥰

When I did CBT a few years ago the therapist talked about black and white thinking. There's a couple of examples here where you are black and white thinking, whereas Ali can see the greys in between. He doesn't instantly think Berkeley is on deaths door whereas you did. You were worrying about making the wrong choice on the paint, whereas Ali sees that it's not permanent and can be changed. As a black and white thinker myself i definitely see it as a bit of a curse. We go instantly to worst case scenario xx
Knowing that you are ahead in your videos I do hope this week has gone better for you and the sweet sausages are feeling better and your paint is now sorted…some weeks do seem as if the universe is just not on your side and it is much harder to remind yourself that this too shall pass and you will get through! I fully understand especially when it comes to furbabies not feeling well it’s just heartbreaking and affects your every thought they love unconditionally and we too love them the very same….

When dogs stop eating, it’s its way to say they’re in pain. It’s a good alert to take them to the vet.

If u put 2 tbsp of butter in while cooking the rice it will come out fluffy and perfect not sticky .
and then after I narrowed I did do 2 test walls or the like in the actual room. So I could paint the test poster boards in the garage and do many close variations if I need to see undertones. But then lightweight could carry posters all over.. so so so easy.
As a fellow green alcoholic… 💚💚💚I love the green and especially with the medium colored wood you have on your vanity. I think it looks better than the mob for the vanity… It’s probably already painted!

This is where my faith in Jesus, and holding onto Christ is the one true thing that I can focus on, knowing he’ll always do what is best and good and that he’s always there for you …can mean everything. Your rice looks 👌🏻 you can also cook the rice in the simmering basket with an inch of water covering it. Put on the Veroma setting for 20mins (brown rice 30 mins) This method removes a lot of the starch making it lower glycemic.
I absolutely love the green, I feel like the other colour kind of washes the room out more. I am a building designer/ interior designer but in all honesty, Its your house and the only person that needs to be happy with it is you :)

The room is inspired by fauna & flora so the bring it into the bathroom it tise everything in that room together.
For the other room go with your gut feeling again i would say but bc it isn't your main bedroom or bathroom you could just go for it

35:37 Being honest on what we are not very good at and need improvement is an excellent trait to have Mrs Lydia. If I may, i recommend you to get a rice cooker - Zojirushi brand. It cooks all types of rice (quinoa and others) to perfection and you will not be dissappointed. I am an Indian from Singapore, rice is our staple food like what is pasta to Italians. 😂
I bought a rice cooker it was crap! . im going to get the next thermomix
im sure im not the first one saying this, but for cooking rice, a rice cooker is the easiest way to do, you wont regret the purchase
I always just boil the rice in water. And cook it like that. Never really had to purchase any rice cooker
I use my instapot 😅
us who's cooking rice for long enough we dont need one but for beginners , rice cooker is a big help

You are right Lydia. Go with the green paint. I don’t think there is enough of the mauve in the flowers on the wallpaper to carry off that other color. All the green in the leaves transitions nicely to the green paint color. Of course that’s just my opinion, as you would say.😊❤️
I'm curious if Barkley is possibly eating a poisonous plant when you are out and about on your walks? Daffodils and the like are poisonous and or perhaps there are other poisonous plants that you have brought into your home/ landscaping, that he may be sampling? Just a thought to rule out if you haven't yet. Always caring for the amimals! Wishing for a speedy recovery for Barkley!

Thank you for reviewing the new Jo Malone collection, I purchased Emerald Thyme and it's such a me scent, citrusy herbal and the bottle is so plain and simple, really elegant.
The green paint clushes with the flooring, the stones. The mauve is more in sync with the floor.
Lydia: please check with your dermatologist, but I am relatively very sure that the blue light will promote hyperpigmentation. How do I know, it happened to me I have a mask and I use the blue light thinking it was going to help me, and in fact, it made a disaster of my face. It caused hyperpigmentation so now I have the Omni Lux, which is a red light mask that is fantastic, and has done wonders for my skin. Just a word for the wise, Be careful with the blue light.
Watching the bathroom adventures in paint remind me of mine. I had to paint my regular walls to go with my accent walls, we had sooooo many little swatches because we wanted to find a good beige. Most had a pink undertone which was a NO for me. My Lovely sister grabbed one last sample and it was PERFECTION...name- Italian Concrete. Heres to you find yours. Cheers!
Hi Lydia. Decision fatigue is something I suffer with. It came out full force when we built our house in 2017 but presents itself everyday with simple things like getting dressed. Thank god for scrubs. Yet to buy furniture or put a nail in the wall…..can you imagine.

Hi Lydia, I’m just asking this because I know a lot of people don’t know this but did you rinse your wash before cooking it? You have to rinse the water about 5 to 6 times to get the water clear and it makes such a difference in the taste of the rice. 😊😊

Lydia I understand your constant worry. My dog has been sick for 3 weeks and unfortunately it will be an ongoing thing. The slightest change in her behavior has me on edge and alarm. My husband also has the ability to act like this may not be the end. So annoying and admirable.😅
36:30 Maybe both colours? They are very much in synergy. I like it when 3 walls are painted in 1 colour and one in a different colour from the palette of the hues.

I hear you about the decisions one needs to make when doing a reno. I'm doing 4- fourplex. I've finished the rental side which I'm slowly moving into, but my side will be a bit more, deluxe. I'm thinking of getting an interior designer to help me with curating my side and working with my contractor.
On the note of not thinking of the worst case scenario: I am an anxious person (no diagnosis), and anything that can go wrong does so in my head. My husband is a realist, and he manages to keep his mind off of the worst case if it is not already a reality. His calmness, luckily, infects me too. I guess the Universe has sent me a man who'll balance me out :D

Take your dog and get an ultrasound. My dog was like that and he had IBD. Went on medication and he felt better and now he’s is good.
Lyd, be careful with the blue light. It isn’t good for hyperpigmentation. The red light alone will treat all of your concerns. And yes pancreatitis is my concern with the pups. There are many things that can bring it on. It’s ok if they don’t eat. It lets their digestive tracts rest. Take him to your vet. Much love.

hi there, Barclay is probably all good now but I just wanted to pop on and say that with our dog she goes strange and out of sorts and doesn't eat when she has chewed something and some of the chewed pieces are coming through her system. She's a working sheep dog and is 5 years old and has never outgrown chewing, a constant worry but we are lucky she has the constitution of an ox! Keep an eye on his poo and I could almost bet something will be on it's way! lol. Sorry to be so blunt but us farm folk do have a thick skin dealing with various levels of animal issues daily and always give a couple of things a try before getting the vet. I do hope all is well ,your animals are sooo cute.
