Exactly! For the work I do, smaller is better as I like a low profile and don't use heavy gear, but I do see the logic in bigger gimbals as they're generally a little steadier just because they're heavier or have room for stronger motors.
I like using handles when filming for stability and being able to attach accessories to the bars. I think the Moza Air 2 allows attachment of the Ronin bars but the Weebil S does not. For me this is a big selling point for any gimbal.
I sold my Aircross 2 and bought the weebill for the simple reason that my Aircross 2 battery would only charge to 70% after 9 months and a replacement cost £70! The Weebill uses widely available and cheap 18650s (about £6 for a pair on eBay) Sick of the "inkjet model" where we get fleeced on things like proprietary batteries. Plus form factor of the Weebill with the rear handle mount makes it far more pleasant in use. A little concerned about the long term relaibility of the axis locks and the arri mount on the side due to multiple reports of them breaking. Time will tell.
Hi Chris! The only doubt I have is if it matters not being compatible the Weebill S with the Panasonic G7. What that means? Do you recommend me any gimbal for the G7? Thanks!!
This was informative-23 out of 25. A few areas that would better help me to track. A chart or table or some visual showing each criteria and the performance of each gimbal would be really helpful-maybe a downloadable; Because they show real world examples, ideos after so helpful. The build category probably doesn’t need it but I’d really love to see video out a visual for each category with commentary during the vid or markup showing right where you make a distinction. Still, overall I appreciate the detail you presented and, this is a helpful video. Thanks.
Understandable! I think I always want to go into more detail than the UA-camrs that just show a bunch of b roll and say its amazing, but maybe next time I'd sit and go through the shots in real time and talk about the bits that don't work too well etc.
Very good your review, thanks for helping us to clarify the functionalities of this Gimble. Would you know if this gimble retains all its functionality with an EOS R and 11-24mm lens?
Have you or anyone else have horizon balancing issues with the weebill s or the weebill not being super smooth? I had the old aircross and found it really smooth, not jitter or jumps I sometimes get with the weebill s. And I never had the horizon issue. The weebill s seems to lean even though it’s perfectly balanced. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Yeah mine had a weird phase where there were lots of micro jitters but I reset everything and updated firmware and it was fine. Have had no issues with horizon for a while really!
@@ChrisSpice my Weebill S is on its way. How well does it manage payload? I am worried that it may not be able to balance my Nikon Z6 with FTZ adapter and 24-70 G 2.8. With the new FW updates how well does it perform in June 2021?
My weebill s will probably arrive tomorrow ..I was confused between these two gimbals and ordered the weebill anyway.. Just a bit worried about the build quality..
@@vishnuravi1203 that's an interesting video, and I can see what he is saying, but the locks have never randomly broken on me after a year of extremely heavy use!
@@vishnuravi1203 had my weebill for about 6 months now and I saw that video too and was a bit worried the locks would fail. Mine haven't failed yet but i did notice after a couple of months later some of the locks did get stuck when trying to unlock them and out of frustration I'd force the locks to unlock which probably isn't the best idea but I've learnt to be gentle when unlocking it, which seems to possibly prevent the locks from breaking hahah

What's your favourite gimbal? Do you use either of these and what do you think of it? Let me know down below!

I am surprised more manufacturers are not following the Weebil S and going for a smaller form factor which everyone seems to love!

I've got the weebill S thank you ❤️
Excellent. For someone considering the purchase of a new gimbal, I found this to be extremely useful. Thank you!

Agreed! You'll be fine with your locks as long as you're sensible with it!
Which other gimbals do portrait mode natively? :-/
I think I am going for weebil S but need to know weight load capacity

Can Weebil S hold Sony 85mm 1.8 with A7iii?
Easily!

Yeah it's not ideal for long term use, I'm still using my Weebill S despite all the new gimbals recently!
So you ignore 19 other who doesn't had a problem with it?
Thank you brother! God bless u
this damn near felt biased for some reason lol
I definitely had my favourite before I made this video but I did try to be impartial. Some of it is opinion I guess but it's what I believe.
Very 😄🤣
lol wish i had the Moza aircross 2 lasat sept 14. date of my birthday tho😂
Nice review!
I think MOZA AirCross2 is very strong gimbal!
It can also run.
The problem is the batteries. Many people had problems with it and with me this is not different. I'm sending back my unit :(
