Very nice video with some good pointers I probably could spend a good hour discussing some of the things that you’re talking about but to be honest with you I made it big in LA my reach was worldwide from LA thanks to the Internet!
Ha I know a very successful commercial photog (made enough to own a plane) He wasn't even listed in the phone books & he didn't even press the shutter himself. His assistants did that. Accountants hated him. His shoots took days & his catering was superb: fine wine with hotel food.
Do you bill the equipment usage to the client as your company or do you have another company that rents camera gear? I am asking because Monte Isom said he has a separate company and I wonder if it is necessity.
No, apparently I didn't tick it off as done so I filmed the subject matter twice haha. I dont script so just have a huge list of youtube titles to talk about. Must have filmed previously and either doubled up on it as an idea or didnt tick it off haha. Oh well.

Be curious to know what photographers he signed
Thanks for all the great content you have been putting out!
Glad you enjoy it!
You know what I always wonder about when you talk about things like the value of having an agent? How did you get the agent to begin with?
When I was working I had a lawyer not an agent fond this worked much better for me.
That’s interesting, I’ve not heard of people doing it that way. How did it work getting in with art buyers and directors ?
A good few home truths here about professional commercial photography and the perils of 'Gear Acquisition Syndrome'!
So you don't have to have a Moccamaster .........but it helps ;)
Going for their poopies.. lol
I do think you need a lawyer more than you need an agent
Didn't you already post this video once before?
No I only filmed it last week
@@EmmottNottingham swear i also remember hearing all these talking points in that order already
Yes, I've been following him for years and have heard a lot of his stuff twice, but I'm still a lazy semi-professional and ignore his insights
Yeah, virtually all pints he already talked about in previous videos
Oh balls maybe I made it twice
Is this video a re-upload?

Does LA count too? 😅
