Parametric Form Vase Modelling In Blender Tutorial

- Hey People! In this video I show you how I created my Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner inspired vase for design.workout Instagram ID challenge.
I am really fond of such organic and natural types of geometries that we typically see being made in Grasshopper. So that’s what inspired be to create this Parametric / Voronoi vase in Blender!
I didn’t pay much attention to scale here so do bare that in mind! You can always import this into Rhino as well to make adjustments to the model or do it in Blender. 🥲
I still need to learn a bit more and see what other patterns I can create using this technique.. I’ll try 3D printing this vase as well at some point; I wonder how It will turn out!? :)

thank you so much from thailand bangkok ! , this is so helpful for a first time user !!!!
DID IT ! happy !
Omg man... This is awesome! Thank u so much!! I really appreciate it
ooh man this was great, brought me many ideas. thanks a lot!
Very cool tutorial and super quick! Would also like to know more about the shading process afterwards :)
awesome! thank you so much for this tutorial. i subscribed
Hey mate, just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! You wouldn't believe how long I searched the web for a voronoi guide and your step by step process was exactly what I needed.
I just uploaded a vid of a project of 3D printed speaker stands that came from your help.
So thank you 👏
Hi Cam! No worries dude, you took it to another level with the 3D printed stands and made them super functional as well!
Keep up the work mate and your videos are really high quality. Your production and setup is just awesome! 👍🏻
@@designbynadeem thank you ☺️ I'm keen to model a v2 with larger holes and thicker branches, so one day I'll give that a go!
Amazing work as always, keep it up!
Mclovin! Thank you very much! ;)
Gaudi smile to see this 😊
Please make more Blender tutorials man. Really love your aesthetic sense and style. 🙏
You got it!
Hello, great video. Is there a way to fill vase's inside with generated wireframe?
Nice Nadeem. Lots of good tips!
No worries Mads! I can’t wait to print one out in a flexible material when I’m back in the office lol
this is one of a kind 😍👍
Thanks Fahim! 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Lots of useful info in this vid. Good job.
:D
i dont have the 'wireframe' modifier? any reasons to why or what i can do about it ? thanks so much!
so cool !
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks so much!
awesome tutorial
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing Nadeem!! I hope i can see you make a jewellry rendering tutorial... I like your style very much!!
Thank you so much Miindy! I appreciate it. Could you be more specific to what type of jewellery? Something like a diamond ring maybe? 💍
@@designbynadeem Yes Nadeem, white gold diamond ring, I want to marrie next month , hope you can inspire me
Very cool thank you, any idea how to reduce size? Slicer is saying the file is too large and is taking forever to slice, or is this just normal with this kind of design?
EDIT: Got it fixed, just decimate the mesh until polys are reduced :)
We love you brother
Thanks Savan bro! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks!
You bet!
Hey, amazing design but how did you print it? I can't seem to get the base to be flat.
just add a cube to the bottom and interfere it into the geometry and do a boolean subtract. should leave you with a flat base
Thanks for the method, but I'm curious. Does making a model using modifier can be specify as parametric design? I thought parametric is supposed to created it with parameters thing, in Blender it use geometry nodes. If making a model can be specify as parametric just using modifier, does that mean everything can be called parametric, even it's a very simple model?
No worries! I’m not 100% sure as I’m pretty new to blender my self.. This is maybe a form that gives the look of parametric design that we commonly see in architecture so that’s why I just went with that title. Have you ever looked at the software called Rhino/Grasshopper? That’s what I’ve seen people use the most for true parametric design.
Please make a tutorial on how to create zaha hadid architectures and parametric structures.
Thank you.
Rhino/Grasshopper would be your best bet for creating stuff like that!
render jewelry brother please...
Okay I’ll try putting something together soon!!
Neat tutorial, but I think maybe maybe it's mislabeled? This isn't parametric modelling.
Thank you! And you’re right as no algorithm is used to define the shapes. Perhaps the term Voronoi might be better suited? I just went for Parametric as it’s more common to people I think lol
This is not parametric bro
You’re right. I wasn’t aware when I made the video. I should change the name to voronoi pattern right?
