Bill Paxton/Severin's costuming is so memorable in this film. He is danger personified, but in a very grounded and realistic way. And I like how you can kind of tell, through each of the characters' outfits, when they were possibly alive because there are traces of different eras in each character. Like they are trying to blend into the modern world, but can't fully shake off their own time.
Gotta wonder if some of the design choices were meant to evoke some of those older horror tropes/characters. The pop of red in Severen's fit, long coats in place of the more classic cloaks, plus Diamondback's hair immediately reminded me of Bride of Frankenstein 🤔
The note about hair matching your aesthetic is true as hell, and I feel like it’s a trap I’ve fallen into before. Great video as always! Stay with this channel I’m sure you’ll blow up soon.
It’s so nice to hear from you again, can’t wait to see who else is in the Halloween horror style cause I think they have some very interesting stuff on style, also Caleb has my kind of style
I agree, there are so many horror films with great wardrobes and I think some people sleep on them so I feel like I must talk about it. Caleb’s got great style!
@@Daniel_Verhey he sure does and so do many others like Abigail the movie, there’s Halloween as well including the sequels, chucky tv series and its films, oh also the last of us as well
Man I love the fits from this movie. Caleb and Diamond Back are my favorite, best fits. Then Mae is my third favorite and lil rope belt. Also you forgot to mention Jesse's confederate flag that was stitched to inside of his coat, which I saw in the movie. Well's Lamont gloves is prolly your best bet. Since thats what I have. Oh an quick honorable mention is John Carpenter's Vampire's James Woods and Baldwin's fit
All great fits! Thanks for the rec on those Wells Lamonts, gonna have to look into those. Yea I decided to leave it out of the video because I wanted to focus on the wearability of the outfit and not as much the backstory. Also, I've actually never seen John Carpenters Vampire, going to have to put it on the list now, thank you!
@@Daniel_VerheyNo prob man. Oh okay, my bad hahah. Good choice It's a good vampire flick. James Woods was the best part and he was carrying the whole movie
It is a great film with great style. The one I'd put up against it would be Tony Scott's "The Hunger". Costume designer Milena Canonero dresses Catherine Deneuve , David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon in Goth meets New Wave by way of Yves Saint Laurent.
Oooofff that’s a tough one, I rarely see military pants with both fatigue pockets and cargo pockets. I don’t know exactly but you could try looking at army surplus brand cargos for something similar. The Austrian Army Combat Trousers are similar in that they have both pockets but theirs are a little different and I’ve only seen them in green. If that doesn’t work I’d honestly try going vintage. Brands like Abercrombie or even old gap might have what you’re looking for, but again make sure to search “vintage”. Hope this helps

Yea I loved that aspect of their wardrobe, there’s just little hints of when they were turned within their clothes

DAMN, I definitely see the correlation there. I can't believe I missed that!

It’s been a while since I first saw it, I’m definitely going to have to go back and give it a rewatch
Sorry greatly off-top but do you know what brand of cargo pants Betty Gilpin wears in The Hunt? Nice video btw
