It's kinda meh tbh
"I can't even sing that low", It's actually higher than you are trying, most growling is done in falsetto, it's the false cord vibrations causing undertones that make it sound lower. I think the singing voice is about an octave higher than the false cord undertones that are happening over it. I know that's the case for mongolian throat singing and death metal growling is like a cousin to that. It's using the same parts of your throat with a little bit different technique to it. I learned to do throat singing first because I wanted to learn to isolate my false cords first and eventually I got growling down after that. I found it's good to practice holding a note in throat singing, switch to it growling, and vice versa in a single breath. You can do all the vowel sounds and do different pitches on this. It helps me identify the correct part of my anatomy I should be using.
From what I understand, inhaled screams can be really damaging if you do them wrong (even more so than exhaled screams incorrectly done), but as far as I know Alissa doesn't do inhaled screams.
I've seen them twice with Alissa and she's such a great front woman!! Total confidence and showmanship!! She is also one of the most understandable screamers in the business!!!

For myself, the easiest growling is Burning Bridges Delain. When Charlotte launches into it, it comes from no where just like Jenny of Oldstones The Dark Side of The Moon. Even though Melissa has the background teasing, it's still like WHOA lol.
