His actual name is Johnny Ramistella. He was born in New York November 7, 1942. He grew up in my hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Baton Rouge High School. The school had a benefit to preserve the building which is an iconic landmark in Baton Rouge in the late 1990s and he came back to play the concert. Awesome performance! Loved your reaction

It's hard to pick a favorite Johnny Rivers song. I think The Mountain of Love is one of mine, along with Secret Agent Man, and Rockin' Pneumonia & the Boogie Woogie Flue and Summer Rain. Nobody put their signature on a song better than Johnny Rivers. Great reaction Stan. 👍
Elvis and Johnny Rivers were my dad's favorites to get mellow and listen to. He would turn the lights down low, put a bourbon and put on Johnny Rivers Whiskey A Go Go album on our huge cabinet stereo ( it was the late 60's - early 70's) and I would go in the living room and just let the music flow over me.
