I attended this lecture last month and really enjoyed and internalized Dr. Umar's message. Because I have a mind of my own and my own opinions and thoughts, I do not agree with every suggestion, idea or belief of his. However, Dr. Umar does make many very pertinent, motivational, insightful and self-reflective points which are complimented by his charisma and obvious passion for educating and enhancing the black community. I will definitely go support him again if he comes back to Memphis.

For mixed people your African DNA is the dominant DNA

So when does it not become dominant?
If that mixed child that is now called black has a child with another white person or anything other than black they are mixed further but following this logic, because one parent is called black and the genes are dominant, then this new child is also black?

But that goes to my point that saying a mixed child is black can be faulty because depending on the lineage of their African parent and their percentage, they may get more percentage of the white lineage if the African parent already has white lineage in them but happen to be dark skin...
Its best just not to worry about it unless you are marrying otherwise you run the risk of being wrong
