  • [VOSTFR] Dr Umar IFATUNDE talks about hip-hop culture, politics in the United States and the misleading role of some black political leaders in Africa and in the Caribbean. He also discusses the growing number of black superheroes on screen. He takes the opportunity to give the definition of "Snow Bunny crisis" and gives his opinion about interracial unions.
He also gives legal advice on how to challenge the French government’s decision to ban the opening of a pan-African school in Guadeloupe and tells the various steps he went through to open FDMG Academy.
Moreover, he mentions the Nation Of Islam and the fear that one may feel when fighting to free their people.

Im sorry to break it to you but You're wrong. Umar's been utilizing his gift of gab for over 14 (fourteen) years and most of his old listeners are tired of him. All he's doing is reaching out to newbies like you to continue to collect our black dollars for his supposed agenda. He's collected over $3Million black dollars. What has he done with it besides live off of it? I'm sorry to inform you but his supposed FDMG Academy has no teachers, no staff, no school board, and most important. No student. You're lucky if his building even has electricity.
Is Umar actively collaborating with any our our black educational leaders to actually manage an active curriculum? If so , whom? When you find out come back and inform us please.

      1. I am actively married to a beautiful black woman amd we're both collectively owners of two multi-unit real estate properties renting beautiful three bedroom apartments to wonderful black people at honest prices, while building wealth to further uplift my community. I'm no an asshole dad who doesn't raise his children. I'm not a black man who bounces between black women and refuses to marry any. I'm not a deadbeat dad like Umar. But lets see, what would I be doing if I already collected over $3M for "FDMG ACADEMY". I'd be actively collaborating with other black school owners or retired teachers etc and be organizing a school board. But no Umar runs an empty school by himself. No staff. No students. Do the research. I'd have long ago accepted the offers of Black laborers, electrician journeymen, and other black contractors who offered to provide free tax deductible services to have the school up and running with all maintenance finished. But no, instead he is continuing to use his gift of gab and education to pull in your single black women dollars. To supposedly purchase a second school. So Go head and run them dollars sister I got so much love for yall but your ignoring of truth won't help you.

Dr. Umar is a black bourgeois , he spend the majority of his young in schools or college , he didn't grow up in the ghetto or hang out in ghettos or roll with ghetto style niggaz . Having said that , the point has to be made about Dr. Umar that is he is not culturally educated to speak about inner City music .
First , people must realize that Electro brass tracks revolutionized Black music and Black dance . Dances like Locking, Boogaloo, Poplocking , breakdancing and moonwalking all are the offspring of Electro brass tracks . And additionally Electro brass tracks produced it's own dress fashion tailored and styled on the dances it produced . Rap on the other hand ushered in its own dance and fashion which was centered on Be bopping .
Most people failed to distinguish Hip Hop from Be bop , yet they realize the obvious difference between breakdancing and Be bopping . It's crazy but this is exactly why I said I the beginning that Dr. Umar should not speak about Hip Hop and Rap because he didn't experience it first hand . I don't have a problem with the Dr. Umar , I just of the belief that a person should stay in their lane of expertise and stop swerving into another lane

This makes me think of how my Black elders before me decided they weren't using bus services, they were willing to be inconvenienced to create change and pursue justice for themselves and their future generations. We as a people are so very distracted, and unwilling to get off the teet of "convenience". You are a gift to us and we love you and thank God for you❤

The banjo is an offshoot of the West African instrument called the Akonting brought over on slave ships to the United States in the early to mid 1600s. In addition, many white inventors stole ideas from black slaves as they cannot patent during slavery.

Brother, I'm at minute 5:28, and Brother Umar the interviewer just finished asking you if you thought that Afrikan people were ready to make the necessary changes or adaptations necessary to take back the culture of Hip-hop, and Brother? You kinda broke my heart with your response, if I'm not mistaken you said that we weren't ready to take it back, but we were beginning to think about making the necessary changes to make change.
The reason that breaks my heart is because I consider the Afrikan American control of Hip-hop a microcosm of what we Afrikans in America need to do to get our communities together. And you say, we're THINKING about doing what we NEED to do to get things on track? With AWLL we've been through? Brother... Well oh yeah. My Nikka, we're still using the N BOMB to express brotherhood in these streets. I hear you Brother. We still have a Great and mighty walk to go.

RAP, unfortunately, made it cool to be STUPID, not just IGNORANT, STUPID.
The proof is obvious and the damage may be irreversible, but no one has the balls to even broach the subject, because
